I don’t get out all that much for this kind of thing anymore but when I do, Amir is always ready with a great table and upbeat staff to kill a night with. This is a small club with big sound and personality and I think you’ll be ok for a special occasion there. For something you want in stock, call first about their champagne list and it’ll all be ready for you when you slide through.

I recently tried to go to Tia Lou’s with a group of friends while I was unfortunately on call for work and had my backpack and laptop with me. We were planning on buying a table and bottle service, but when the bouncers saw my backpack they refused to let us in. I offered to let them completely search every pocket of my backpack until they were satisfied, but they absolutely refused. They suggested that we go next door to Amber to check my bag and then come back to Tia Lou, so we just went to Amber instead where they simply searched my bag and let us in. Edit: we wound up going to Amber and they were very accommodating, had better music, and friendlier staff. I can’t recommend Amber enough over Tia Lou’s. If you wanna have a good time in belltown, stay away from Tia Lou’s. Go to Amber instead. Edit v2: now that I’m sober, I still think Tia Lou’s sucks. Amber was a ton of fun, took care of my friend when she cut herself on some broken glass, and they even gave us some free drinks at the end of the night. I recommend Tia Lou’s if you want to be treated like shit, otherwise go to Amber if you want to have a great time.

i had a TERRIBLE experience last night especially being a regular that goes there every weekend with my girls! So this is what happened! I had vip but for some reason I was waiting in line for close to 45 minutes! & it was closer to the time where we have to pay the cover but for some reason the line wasn’t moving. but the general admission line was moving faster! Regardless of the long wait time, i just wanted to enjoy my night. FINALLY i make it to the front of the line ONLYTOBETURNEDAWAY because i had a damn rip in my temporary but VALIDWITHPHOTO id! But for some reason when i used it last week they let me in! what difference does it make now? AND on top of that the only other id i had on me is my passport but they said no cause it was expired for month. i traveled ALLLLLL the way from tacoma to come to this place to be turned down when i am a regular!!! i am NEVER coming back! the funny thing is Ambers next door let me in without any problems. i am very grateful that my night didn’t end up being at home especially since i came out looking really nice! THANKYOUAMBERS! tia lous is not the spot for me any longer. i will be taking my service somewhere else!

Extremely rude staff! Paid for entrance when I wasn’t supposed to and when asked for my money back due to a misunderstanding with our party, was told«oh well, nothing we can do!» Tristan was a complete asshole! There’s more bouncers than attendees! And front door dudes did too much! This place is a nice venue but their staff sucks! Horrible first experience here and it’ll defensively be my last! I understand they have a job to do but to treat people like shit is completely uncalled for, we weren’t aware of changes until we got there so we shouldn’t have been treated the way we were! Train your staff! I have never been so offended in my life! The way my party was treated was beyond unacceptable! Professionalism should be important to an establishment to continue to get good business but these people obviously don’t care if you walk out never think to come back! RIDICULOUS this place is, staff wise and I never plan to go back to this place again! Just look at their reviews! Good job Tia Lou, you showed how unprofessional and low a place can be! People are supposed to enjoy their time at your establishment… not regret it! I only gave a star cause I had to, to post this review!

One word: ratchet. I do not get a good vibe from this place. The staff is unprofessional, the atmosphere is uncomfortable, and it just is not a fun place to be. I don’t know how they are still running their business. If you want to go to a club that plays hip-hop, you are better off going to Stage or 95 Slide or something. The security guards do not do their job and the guys here are very aggressive and persistent, probably due to the unmonitored nature of the environment. This club seems to attracts a certain type of crowd that is unpleasant… If you’re in town looking for somewhere to party in Seattle, take this warning and find a different establishment.

This is rare for me to give any establishment a shitty 1 star so you better believe that Tia Luo deserves this shitty 1 star. Unfortunately zero star isn’t an option on Unilocal so let me again hand you the shitty 1 star crown. Thank you very much for ruining everybody’s night and thank you even more for making the birthday girl break down into tears. I applaud you, it takes a lot of asshole attitude to successfully do that. I strictly don’t drink so here to tell you from a completely sober and honest point of view of how Tia Luo completely lost my future business although I rarely go here anyways due to the abnormal level of «ratchetness». A friend wanted to throw her birthday here, I wasn’t thrilled that it was at Tia Luo, but for a friend, I guess I have to show up. Long story short, we received the absolute rudest service that a human being can possibly receive, if you can even count that as service. And it happens before even walking in the door so I don’t even want to imagine what other worse things we would have deal with if we actually stay there. The bouncer denied the birthday girl’s entrance because she was struggling in her heels in winter weather, but HELLO, who could walk in 5 inch heels, we wear it for the pictures. I was completely sober to know that the birthday girl was sober, she didn’t want to drink until we got to the club since she bought a table with bottle service. It’s one thing to deny entrance, but to have your other bouncer friends cuss the whole group out with such provocative language saying we weren’t welcome here. Wow, my jaw just dropped, I have never been treated like this any where in life. I was completely sober to witness everything that went down so Tia Luo, you can’t even use the excuse that I was an angry drunk seeing it from only my point of view. Wow, I’m still in shock of what happened. Please give my friend her refund back because there’s no way in hell would we ever return. And again, it wasn’t because we got denied entrance, it was for the unprofessional, mean language that was being used to make an innocent girl cried on her birthday. On top of that, we were told by the bouncers that we were not worthy of the manager’s time when we asked to spoke to one. Goodbye Tia Luo, never again. Tell me about your experience if you’ve been here or is going to after reading this review:) But hopefully, you won’t.

NEVERAGAIN with this place. I came with my friends for my birthday on Feb. 13th& we were all excited. We get in line & the overweight head of security with the dumb multi-colored rubber bands on his beard looked at me & told me to walk in a straight line. I did it fine but of course since I had heels on, it wasn’t perfect. He looks at me, and said«you’re drunk. You’re not getting in.» WTF! First off, I was nowhere near drunk, and secondly, I had bought a VIP Table. I had walked away while the security stayed yelling at my friend. Very professional. Smh. When I came back to talk to him one on one cause I CLEARLY wasn’t drunk, he gives me a bs excuse saying, «I was gonna give you 10 minutes & have you come back but someone in your party said something to me and now nobody is getting in.» They ruined my birthday & had it not been to my cousin getting me into a different club, Tia Lou would’ve been burned to the ground. That club is a JOKE! We never got in because of a poor and horrible assumption. Watch yourself around this club ESPECIALLY around the head of security who takes all the power to his tiny beard. The person in charge of VIP said whatever that security said goes cause he’s been there for 10 years & knows what he’s doing, when he clearly doesn’t. We even asked to speak to a manager & was told no because they would’ve taken the head’s word. & since it’s a «high volume club,» security is extremely strict where if they see you sagging up to the line or in line, you’re not getting in ATALL(so please keep that in mind). I asked how I can get my money back for my paid booth & in addition to telling me what to do, he also had the audacity to say, «or you can save it for another time.» Excuse you, but I will NEVER come back to this place! Don’t waste your time on this place. I had no problems when I had my party here last year, but it was a complete 180 this year. They’re more focused on the fact that Colin Kaepernick was wearing their hat, rather than the people who come to have a good night but have it ruined by their staff.

Very rude security guards. Will never come here again. They have groupons for bottle service because they desperately are trying to get people to show up because it is not a poppin club.

Tia Lou? More like Tia Lousy! Don’t bother buying a groupon deal for a booth here. The security guard with his foo foo looking braided beard refused to let our group of friends inside even though we had a booth! That security guard needs to be fired. I will NOT be coming back.

Never supporting this establishment again. Last night the security thought my friend, who is also the birthday girl, was drunk but she really wasn’t. No questions asked and no breathalyzer, he just blatantly looked at her and said«You’re drunk, I can’t let you in.» Who wouldn’t want to look cute, wear heels, and wear a crown on their birthday? Yeah we came out of a party bus too but we really shouldn’t be judged on that. We wanted to go all out for this celebration. I really wish I knew this security’s name checking people in for the guestlist line because he was really rude and judgmental towards my group. My friend even bought a booth and he still denied her. My other friend was mad and wanted to see a manager but he still didn’t honor that. The security guards even cussed out my group because, yes we were trying to take a picture of your horrible staff for not providing world class customer service for the world to see, but also because we were still lingering around… Where else were we supposed to go?! One was like«Oh are you leaving? Bye.» I have been here once before though… One year ago for this same friend’s birthday. Yeah I had fun, we had a booth with bottle service. Not my type of scene though. I really wanted to give this place another shot last night, but now the whole experience is ruined for me. I hope this business burns to the ground, I don’t even want to wish you good luck. You ruined our night but most importantly my friend’s birthday. I’ll never recommend this place to anyone. I wish there was an option for zero stars. But have fun trying to keep it alive if you’ll only survive with an average of 2 stars with almost 200 reviews. Oh, and give my friend’s money back for the booth she paid for.

I’ve had some really fun nights at Tia Lou’s, but my last visit was mediocre at best. There was only a short line, which was a good and bad thing. I’m glad I didn’t have to wait for a long time outside, but a club sucks when it’s empty. I also think the crowd/vibe changed here… it’s pretty grungy with an older crowd including older(40 – 50 year old) adults. It’s also really bright inside, which totally kills the club vibe. Adding to the brightness were all the bouncers with their excessive flashlight shining. Music is… not horrible. $ 20 cover for guys seems pricey for this place. I will say it’s not too hard to get drinks since they have 3 bars, but beware… a couple of my friends got charged different prices for the exact same drink($ 2 difference). My overall impression of Tia Lou’s is… meh. I probably won’t come back here. Tip to guys: Read the dress code before going!

First i am a guy, so you can get a guy perspective of this place. I am going to save my personally experience for the last. — This place has more bouncers than people dancing. Seems like this place is only for the table reservations and everyone else is going to be treated like a homeless person. Really how do you feel when every where you stand the staff going to tell you stand somewhere else. — Filled with gorilla sized guys who are just waiting to pick a fight. — 20 $ in Cover for this shit experience. — The bartender took my card and then also took my license when i wanted to open a tab, feels very rude. — When i checked out she charged me for two drinks when i only got one. When i recently she said«I am busy, if you want I will call the staff to deal with your situation.» Great!

I only go to Tia Lou on Fridays. And I always have SOMUCHFUN. This isn’t an upscale club, nor is it a very large space, but the main room top 40s hip hop/EDM is awesome and they usually throw in some 90s/00s music. In the smaller area, which isn’t always open, they play throwback music that is almost as good. Getting a table in the main room(along the dance floor) is THEBEST because you get your own space in the middle of the fun! The main area gets really packed on Friday nights, but I’ve never felt unsafe or offended by other club-goers. On warmer days, the deck area is perfect for fresh air(and has its own bar). The womens bathrooms are decent; small stalls, but I’ve definitely seen worse. And of course, running into Seahawks players there is a bonus. The last time I went to Tia Lou, Lynch and Avril were there!

This was my first time visiting here! I really liked it! The DJ, music, lights, security guards and bartenders were very friendly and welcoming. Will come back at a later night when all the real action occurs like midnight! Thanks tia lou nightclub!

Have you ever seen Planet Earth? Specifically that segment where they show birds of paradise do a mating dance? Complete with the grooming, colorful spread and the head bobbing reminiscent of an awkward dad dance?
Okay well if that entertained you, come to Tia Lou’s. It’s just as horrifying and it’s equally hard to look away. The only difference is that the bird in that video knew when to stop pursuing a mate. I missed the memo growing up on going to the bathroom wif all mah girls so I just don’t do that. I separated from my group(the people responsible for dragging me here) to use the bathroom and was mortified. I fortunately also missed the memo of dressing up like it’s the middle of summer in the middle of winter so I was actually wearing jeans and all that. It minimized the skin-to-skin contact on all the unwanted touching received from my walk to the dance floor to the bathroom. To their credit, some of the music was pretty good.

I thought I have written a review of this place but here it goes: Tia Lou was one of my least favorite clubs in Seattle. Years ago, I remember coming here early in the night with friends and leaving minutes later to another bar/club. Back then(oh lord, I can’t believe I said that), this place usually attracted many bachelorette parties and creepy old guys lurking around finding someone to hit on. Well years later, I decided to come here last Friday since a friend told me to come out. I have heard stories of Seahawk players sightings so that also increased my curiosity of this place. So a few things: * Put your name on the list and get in line by 11pm to avoid paying cover. Look up Tia Lou on facebook for more info on that. * Go with a group of friends. The more, the merrier. * Get a booth. I encourage it. Overall, Tia Lou isn’t as bad as i remember it. Music isn’t too bad and its not a pain in the ass to get drinks either. I just hate how the bathroom is upstairs. I’ll only be back if a friend tells me to come out with them.
