Went here because I forgot my go-to Vietnamese spot(Ben Thanh) is closed on Wednesdays(religious purposes, I believe). SO unsatisfied. I ordered their combo vermicelli and there was nothing great about it. Won’t be coming back. Staff was friendly though but I had to wave them down to take my order.

Always consistently good. Except for the time they tried to charge me glide sprouts with my Phở. The menu is quite varied with options for everyone. They also have these amazing sesame and red bean pastry balls.

We came here for some noodles because my friend and I were looking for a spot near his house that will fill us up fast. I ordered the spicy beef soup with egg noodles(#36) and their egg soda. My friend ordered egg noodles with veggies and beef(#45). As for the appetizer, we got the fresh spring rolls with meatballs. Let me just say that the food did in fact fill us up. But we weren’t very satisfied with the taste of the food. My noodle soup went well with the egg noodles, but I thought something else was missing with the soup itself. I have never tried spring rolls with meatballs so we thought we’d give it a shot. The spring rolls were okay, I’ve had better. I thought the wrapper were not prepared right because I bit into the spring rolls and it was super chewy and I felt some hard spots like it wasn’t soaked in water long enough. The egg soda was probably the best thing I ordered. It was interesting, being told the fact that there was in fact raw eggs in the drink. But it turned out delicious.

We’re shopping at Mekong market a lot and decided to give this place a try and it was good. The phở soup have excellent great. One thing that I want to see change is their carpets are smelled bad. Needs some cleaning done. Inside is large, great for family and friends if you have big group for lunch or dinner.

I usually come here for their delicious beef lemongrass and egg sandwiches, and they are amazing! Last time my boyfriend and I got some fried rice and sweet and sour chicken and the chicken was stringy and tough, not going to get that again. Service is always good and the wait time for take out is short.

I am unsure as to why everyone has rated this restaurant so low! I had the brisket and steak phở and spring rolls with a friend this weekend and thought the phở was decent. I read a past review that stated they wouldn’t eat phở from a place that doesn’t smell like phở… so does that mean you want your restaurant to smell like feet? Because that is what phở typically smells like. That makes no sense to me! I did not like the spring rolls, and I believe its is more of a preference as opposed to there being something fundamentally wrong with the roll. I didn’t enjoy the thick glass noodles that they had in the roll nor did I care for the filling flavoring with the meat and veggies. The phở was good, nothing outstanding but definitely not the worst I have had. The meat seemed fresh enough and the broth was flavorful. They brought out more than enough fresh basil and beansprouts, which I appreciated! I dislike when restaurants skimp on the basil! They would have received 4 stars had the service been better. I waited quite a while for someone to take our order and they didn’t fill our water cups until we were ready to leave. I won’t be back but I do not regret at least trying this place out!

Really good food for cheap. I split the shrimp salad rolls with my friend. We both had the grilled pork sandwich and smoothies; the total was $ 20 n change. Damn good deal for tasty eats. Will go back to try other options, but was definitely pleased with my first visit. Table wasn’t super clean so I knocked off a star for that, but the staff were quick and pleasant(aside from one lady yelling at the kitchen staff — not sure if they’re married or she just runs a tight ship). Wasn’t loving the occasional yelling, but it got comedic whenever she turned sweet whilst checking out customers and offering them sesame balls… I was reluctant to try any since I’m not sure whose«balls» they were.

It’s a Ma and Pa. A strange blend of Vietnamese/Chinese food with a mixture of all sorts of other things. The food here isn’t to shabby, I would give it a 3 stars, but the thought that this is mom and dads shop, owned by a family, i’m throwing in an extra star. Prices are ok, a bit high I think for what is offered, but maybe rent is expensive for them. Ill return and get the combo meal, it’s a good value. P. S. I would never get phở at a place that doesn’t smell like Phở. and this place doesn’t smell like PHO

1. Reasonably priced. 2. Fills you 3. Quick Service Consumed: Phở with beef, brisket, and tendon To be perfectly honest, my taste buds can’t quite discern between the qualities of phở. Maybe it’s just because I haven’t had enough? But generally, phở is just phở. I can tell however, whether the meat is fresh and whether there’s a lot of headache, I mean MSG.(because I get a headache). I didn’t get a headache, so if there was MSG, it’s below my tolerance level. The meat was just okayy, but it wasn’t my favorite. In fact I left some uneaten, which is less than ideal since I hate wasting food. But I guess I enjoy coming here because it’s fast and easy and typically it accommodates a large group without much waiting. And phở is phở.

Yikes. Where to start. Won’t be back this is certain. Well, parking is easy so I suppose that is where they get their 1 star for. That and my sister’s vegetable stir fry sounded fine. But if I’m going to a Phô place then I want to know that my meats are fresh and of a higher caliber than McDonald’s ground beef. And this one isn’t. When mentioning to the waitress that the beef tastes off and old, she argued with us to tell us that it’s fresh and good. I guess she knows my taste buds better than me simply by looking at my bowl. Also, upon asking what type of oil they cook their donuts and food in she replied salad oil. When I clarified to her that I needed to know if it was peanut oil or soybean oil bcuz I’m allergic to these she nodded and said it’s «salad oil». This continued for five more attempts until I finally asked her to walk in the back and tell me what the ingredients of salad oil are. Which she then came back n told me it’s soybean oil. Ugh! Glad I didn’t give up and just order it. Disaster narrowly avoided! Now the music. When we walked in we were treated by one of Madonna’s early hits. Which was funny at first but then we realized after 8 songs of not even B-list musicians but rather D? F?-list worth of a line up we were all craving even the simplest of authentic cultural music over what was playing. Several comments were made regarding ears wanting to bleed when new songs came on which were each worse than the last. Oh. Yeah. The Singha beer was good.

Great prices and good food. Fried pot stickers are great and very crispy and the fried rice had good flavor.

I absolutely love this place! We have been coming years! The food is fantastic! The phở broth is the best in the city! Their plate dishes are fresh, rice dishes and fried rice are so comforting and the sandwiches are all excellent! This is my families go to spot for comfort food. Share the word! Customer service, the family is also super!

This restaurant caters to Americans. My co worker Picked up a phone order(salt n pepper shrimp & Mongolian beef). Shrimp had no salt n pepper flavor just fried batter. Basically paid $ 1 per one shrimp. Mongolian beef is the worse I’ve had. Tastes nothing like it sounds just thinly sliced beef stir fried with whole onion slices with a different seasoning. No more! I’ll just stick to Chinatown!

I’ve eaten here a few times for lunch. Service is friendly, attentive, and unhurried. The food is solid, I’ve never been disappointed and I went off my typical menu path here and tried something new each time. I could find no fault in the execution of food or service and at the same time there is nothing that might make it stand out as a brilliant place. This is a good place to the bring kids too, it seems, since there tends to be those small humans also eating during my visits. I’ve had the fish congee, a wide rice noodle dish, a spicy beef stew, and a pork fried broken rice dish. All yummy, fresh, and quick. Don’t miss the Mekong Rainier market, across the street, for all kinds of ingredients at great prices.

Simple Vietnamese restaurant. Love the location since I only live 5 minutes away. Pineapple rice is totally on point. They charge extra to eat a banh mi in the restaurant.

My love and I were craving bubble tea. We had no idea where to get some, and the place up the street that was supposed to have it was all out of tapioca(???) so I did a bit of online research and came up with Thien Phat. We decided just to get dinner there and take it home to eat, as well as our bubble teas. I had the beef ap chao and my love had the lemongrass chicken and I have to say we were amazed at not only the flavor but the presentation. They actually took the time to make the food pretty in a take out box. Our meals were fresh and the meat was tender and perfectly seasoned. The spring rolls we’d ordered(one shrimp and one chicken) came with an absolutely phenominal peanut sauce. And then there was the bubble tea. I had blueberry and my love had coconut. You know the person making your bubble tea is a pro when they bring a bowl of fresh blueberries and freshly shaved coconut out to the station and make it for you right there. The women behind the counter were extremely nice and the little boy that was«helping» was adorable and really well behaved. They are also the only place I’ve seen to have jellyfish salad, and I will definitely be ordering it the next time I go there… which hopefully will be VERY soon. I’m already craving another delicious blueberry boba tea!

Wow! Yet another great place for phở near my house. Their broth is great and the brisket was lean and tender(weird, huh?). It was super reasonably priced and the service was just fine. I ordered phở to go so I didn’t experience this restaurant in its entirety. I can’t wait to come in for a Vietnamese sandwich(to go only and about $ 2.50 each) and some of the other dishes that looked amazing.

I’m finally getting around to trying some new stuff here. I grabbed some sammies awhile back and snuck them into a basketball game for sustenance. Honestly, I thought they were dang tasty. This time, we tried the congee with fish. Hmm, it was different and I wasn’t really a fan. It was a huge bowl and the fish was… salmon. i will give credit for having mushrooms in there. I’ve made it at home with tilapia and other white fish. The salmon… maybe a little too oily for this to work. Props to me for trying something new, but I won’t go for this again for myself.

I remember my first time going to Thien Phat, and thinking that this place is wasn’t all that great, but the more time I spent talking to the owner and eating the food, I was Hooked. With that said, I absolutely LOVE this restaurant. I always support my local restaurants and this is by far the one I go to the most. Not only does the food taste amazing, the place has a nice feel, and owners are always welcoming. Most times I come in I never have to say much because the owner, knows what I want and just order for me! Every time I come in i get the vermicelli bowl with grill meatballs, egg roll, and grilled pork instead of stir fried beef. The vermicelli is soft and never clumped up like other places I’ve ate at before, the grilled meatballs, and grilled pork is bomb, and egg roll is a great combo. Not much bads I can say about this place besides some times slow at refilling water? If your looking for a place to eat, you MUST try this place out!
