This is a cool store, warm & friendly and stuffed with interesting stuff, new and old at good prices. Also a lot of jewelry, some old and some by talented local artists.
Since I started going here, I moved into a bigger house and Chris, the owner, has become my «personal shopper» to help us fill in the spaces! I don’t feel like I need to go any where else.
I go often because you never know what she will bring in next and I want to make sure I have a look .

I stopped in to The Refeathered Nest again when I was waiting for my food to be prepared next door at Kwanjai and met the charming owner, Chris. She puts the tagline of «Freemont’s Favorite Junk Shop» on her business cards, and I am inclined to agree.
This shop is so cool. She always has new anachronistic finds from bygone eras. or at least a couple decades gone. You know how it is though, if it’s before your time it might have been when dinosaurs roamed the earth. Plenty of before-​my-​time here from my perspective. Did my mother ride a brontosaurus to school in the 1960s? I have no idea. Maybe!
When you are next in Freemont, I suggest stopping in to see what cool junk she has found to stock her store with this week.
