The Outer Edge

If you’re planning a wedding in the near future, talk to Jen ASAP. A number of my vendors ended up disappointing me, and I’ll end up writing a number of cautionary reviews, but Jen knocked it out of the ballpark. She was extremely accommodating to my schedule, and responded to e-​mails within hours. If you brides are just getting into planning, you will realize how valuable both of those things are very soon.
Our hair and makeup trial went great, and I woke up on my wedding day excited to see her again and watch her work her magic on myself and all my favorite ladies. My bridesmaids and mom are very low-​maintenance, natural beauties not used to wearing a lot of making or doing anything at all with their hair. I was somewhat nervous they would end up too «made-​up», not looking like themselves. But I think the moment Jen met them she understood what needed to happen, and gave them the most simply beautiful hairstyles and completely understatedly-​stunning makeup. I was blown away by how she knew exactly what to do to bring out their personalities and let them shine. I was completely happy with my own look as well, definitely a step up from my day to day look, I felt like a bride ready to conquer the world!
You really don’t appreciate her artistry until you see pictures. Looking in the mirror is one thing, but when you’re put in front of the camera you really understand how important all the little details are. Jen is an expert on making all your best features pop in photos. That said, my only advice is to allow a TON of time to get ready. Jen’s precision work can’t be rushed, and I was so grateful we started getting ready really early.

Jen, you are amazing! I’m pretty picky about both hair and makeup. I have an unfortunately narrow view of what’s too much/​too little makeup, so there isn’t a lot of room for error. My idea went from glam bot to bronzed beach goddess to hipster flower child, and Jen rolled with it! Jen listens to you. She really takes the time out to figure out your vision and make it happen. I loved how it turned out and I’d recommend her whole heartedly! Thanks Jen for making me feel beautiful on my big day!
