At this point, I’d call myself a regular here. I drive into the city for my haircut and can easily say it’s worth it. Ask for Julia, she does a great job and makes getting a haircut a quick, enjoyable experience!

I found Jory, and thank heavens! If you want to get rid of frizzy unruly curly hair, Jory is the gal to go to! I’ve been getting a thermal straighten from Jory for the past 6 – 7 years and Jory transforms my not so happy hair into beautiful sleek hair that can withstand the raining days of Seattle. No more poof and frizz. Not only is Jory super skilled with thermal straightening but she rocks at overall hair color and balayage if you want some lighter and brighter ends. Jory’s service and customer care the best and she is a fantastic person, so fun to talk to — Love her!

In Seattle who you want to see for Color hands down is Kimber Ryan at the Collage Salon! Not only is she «Phenomenal» in her ability as a colorist. but this is combined with her always going above and beyond in terms of her professionalism and accommodation! –i always schedule in advance however with my demanding work schedule it may run into challenges with meetings etc. with texting her directly she has always as possible worked out for me to come in at a more convent time for me. really going above and beyond on many occasions! it has been a lifesaver! Its rare to find someone with talent that genuinely cares for her clientele. I also would like like to highly recommend Josh White for cuts I cannot say enough good things about Josh as well he is truly talented. they often work together with clients with the front desk coordinating the appointments. m.s.

If you are a busy working professional, I would not recommend this place. I scheduled an appoint for 1:30 on Friday. I showed up at 1:25. After waiting for 25 minutes without receiving an updated time table from the stylist or receptionist for my 1:30 appointment, I decided it leave. I understand that stylists get busy and appointments run late, but waiting 25 mins for a $ 55 man’s haircut does not seem like good service. There are other salons in downtown that charge less, and don’t make you wait (especially when you make an appointment).

Update: the manager of Collage called me to apologize, which was a nice gesture. However, I decided to look for another salon in the mean time. My criteria for choosing a salon: close to work (downtown Seattle), flexible (available appointments), and moderate price. I found Finecuts, and I highly recommend it! The manager of the store fit me right in, cut my hair (great job!), and it cost $ 25.00. So, I prefer Finecuts, and I do not recommend Collage.

I absolutely tell every person I meet to go see her. She takes great care of your hair. The health of your hair is number one to anything else.
She can create color masterpieces and your hair is not totally fried!
She’s been doing my hair for six years now and I can’t imagine letting anyone else color or cut it.
I also love that she keeps my hair interesting. No hairstyle ruts when Chantelle is your stylist.
Go see her! You and your hair deserve it.

I went based on the reviews here, and wasn’t disappointed. Jed was great, very friendly and welcoming of my questions. Haircut and balayage were good too, very natural and subtle (only sorta-​regret, maybe a little too subtle…)

Jedidah gave me the best perm! I have been seeing him for years, and only trust him to do my hair. Seriously a great hair stylist, and would recommend him to anyone!

I knew I needed a change but was super hesitant to color my hair as I hadn’t done so in over 7 years. I made an appointment with Jed for a cut and balayage and am SO happy. He took about 6 inches off because I wanted to go shorter and did an amazing job. The balayage is subtle but so pretty. It was just the change I needed and couldn’t be happier! Jed is really friendly and made me feel at ease during the entire process. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Rachael is very detailed and experienced, 15 years under her belt. She is great with all hair types, I have really short hair and my daughter is biracial with long hair and she is talented beyond words. We would never see anyone else.

Great haircut by Jed!!! I was really nervous to cut my long hair short but was so happy I did and picked the best one to do it. I’ll go back to get my Balayage soon! He is really talented and nice!

LOVE JED! He does the best color in all of Seattle. If you’re a blonde and need highlights — hit him up! He does a fantastic balayage as well. For long hair expect to be in the chair 2 hours for a balayage and cut.
The Collage is clean, friendly staff and easy to schedule appointments — I love that they do it electronically! Only tough part can be finding parking — be sure to check signs to make sure you’re in the clear during the hours of your appointment.

Looking for a THERMAL RELAXER? Look no further… Jory Lund has been doing them for over 18 years. Worth every penny. Not to mention I love my time here. She’s an incredible human and the salon is beautiful!!!

Jedediah did my hair this last time, and it was absolutely flawless. His amazing balayage technique is quite impressive. He paints your hair in such a way that it creates this very soft and natural look to your color. I’ve had my hair done highlighted for years and no one has impressed me the way he did.

I had a great experience with Julia at the Collage Salon. I went in for a cut and color When it was all said and done I couldn’t have been happier with the results. Julia has a knack for what she does. She listens to what the client wants and executes it! She is so kind and easy to talk to. I would recommend Julia again and again!

I get my haircut by Julia and she is the best. Fast. Efficient. Very professional. Best cut I have ever had and she has a great attitude and energy.

I went to the Collage Salon for the first time yesterday and I have nothing but good things to say! The salon was easy to find, which is a big deal for me because I get lost easily, it’s very nice inside and radiates positive energy, everyone was super nice! I had a haircut appointment with Taylor, who was super sweet from the start. She made sure we were totally clear about the style I wanted and then we went back to the shampoo area. All of the products smell amazing! I was overwhelmed by all the lovely smells! The haircut itself didn’t take too long (but didn’t feel rushed) which was cool because the last time I got a haircut at another salon, the girl took forever because she wanted to make sure she wasn’t screwing it up, but Taylor knew what she was doing and I love the end result! I will definitely be back soon for all of my salon needs! And Taylor is awesome! :)

I loved my experience at Collage! Rachael was the friendliest, most positive, and enjoyable stylist I have ever been to. I knew I wanted some change but wasn’t sure what to do and Rachael gave me the perfect style and exactly what I was looking for without much detail from me. She sold me on products but didn’t push anything I didn’t need. I can’t wait to go back for my next cut and couldn’t recommend a stylist more than i recommend Rachael!

I’m a little biased on the colorist I see, having known her through Unilocal for so many years and following her as she’s moved a few times along and her always making my hair just fabulous. She gets my hair. And me. So aside from: KIMBER IS THE BEST. SEE HER. RIGHT NOW. DO IT. No, I’M SERIOUS. WHY AREN’T YOU BOOKING AN APPOINTMENT RIGHT NOW? I’ll stick to reviewing the location and overall salon for this one.

Saturday morning-​ish was a great time to go see here, parking was wide open all along the side streets and even right out front.
Super cute shop. Touches of industrial, modern lathered in warm, dark woods and lighting that makes it feel very posh and welcoming.
Cutest little yellow lab runs around the salon. He clutches his leash in his mouth not in the «walk me, please» way but in the «I’m walking myself» way. Super cute, but important to note in case you have allergies. He only said hi to us upon arrival and then kept to his owner’s station and other places.
Ample sized salon. They have well over a dozen chairs, waxing area, nail area, shampooing area, dressing area and all maintains the same welcoming place. For it’s location, it is a very large place and they truly are well-​appointed to be completely ‘full service’.
The air around the place was very friendly without being overly so. You know how sometimes salons everyone is just really loudly happy? Or you overhear WAY too much gossip or general stuff that can feel negative and oppressive when you can’t shut it out? Not here. Oh, of course there as chatter of life issues, George Clooney’s woman stuff, and everything you’d expect. but the overhead music was calm and wonderful, people kept respectful voice volumes and it just added to the overall great atmosphere to the entire place.
Kimber and I plotted a project hair for me this time, so now that she’s enriched my «base color» and refreshed it, I’ll be back a time or two soon to complete it all. Hopefully, I’ll sneak in a manicure or cut from another one of the great folks there.

Jedediah crafted the best balayage I’ve ever had! Seriously, this guy is amazing. I don’t write many reviews but I felt I HAD to because I want the world to know that Jed is Seattle’s best colorist! I’ve worked in salons and have been to many all over Seattle for blond, red, ombré, dark — you name it. No one has ever quite accomplished what I truly wanted until Jed did my hair. Ladies and gents — this is your guy! Go see JEDEDIAH!

I got my second haircut from Taylor yesterday and I’ll definitely be back. When I moved back to Seattle last September I knew finding a new barber was going to suck. And it did. I found Collage (and Taylor) after waiting to hear back from friends who tried other places and I wasn’t disappointed. It isn’t a true modern men’s barber like I had in SF and LA but she does a great job and I don’t have the need to keep looking. $ 40 for a men’s cut is what I was previously paying anyway, so I don’t feel like the price is steep for what a good trim costs.
The salon itself is lively and friendly. It’s your normal young (ish), modern salon. They carry good products and everyone in there looks highly trained and competent at their craft. I would have no problem recommending Collage to friends.
It’s easy to get to and street parking is right out in front. You get in, get out, and it’s painless.
