I think it’s a novel idea to offer only 5 types of flavors a night. It definitely has customers wondering what they’re offering the next day. There was a mixed called Yoshi, so of course we had to try it! :) Since we were new to Seattle, we talked to the staff and they were very chill and helpful. I feel like we became friends quite fast! I take off a star because there’s a 5 dollar membership fee. They have local bands play, which sounds like a great idea, but we missed them and ended up listening to a good Pandora playlist instead. The interior is really nice with the comfy couches and low lights. Seems like a great place to go if you just want a relaxing night to talk to friends. If I recall, the prices of the bowls ranged from $ 15−20ish depending on a simple flavor or a mix.

After finishing up a happy hour down the street, my friend brilliantly suggested smoking some shisha at Cobra. A summer apart from each other calls for some sort of communal smoke fest, right? Right! For a Saturday night, the line wasn’t too long. The employees are super friendly — apologizing for the wait and willing to explain the entire process. If you’re new, plan on buying a yearlong membership(five dollars) in order to bypass some Washingtonian law. Aside from that, we ordered the Dr. Strangelove or perhaps Dr. Love. Anyways, hints of passionfruit and other various tropical goodies lasted about two hours… and for how much? Only 16 dollars among the four of us? What a deal. Customer servicing didn’t stop at the counter, but the guys with the charcoal are ridiculously nice and attentive as well. As for the ambiance, Cobra is filled with a vast arrangement of seating. Sofas and tables downstairs and cushion-y areas upstairs. It’s what a hookah lounge should be: dimly lit, comfortable and alluring. My only complaint is the music. A mix of house/techno/dubstep to go with your inhale? For most of the night, I couldn’t even hear their music — instead, enjoying the music from a party next door.

This spot is super chill, with a nice chill atmosphere, a nice variety of tasty hookah tobacco, really good teas, and some chill tunes over the loudspeakers. Even the guys who run the place are chill. Did I mention this place is totally chill?

I don’t know what I was thinking… I came in here on a Saturday night(I think the beckoning of fall/the need to cuddle up in sweaters was at fault) — and it was busyyyyyy! Not really sure what I was expecting, I guess I haven’t been out in awhile haa. Not only did it take 20 mins to find parking, but the line to the register was ridiculously long. Granted there were a lot of people, but it took them forever to check IDs and get orders. After 10 mins of waiting with the line not moving(and finding out the parking in front is not *in fact* free), we left to get our hookah fix elsewhere. I really wish I knew hookah lounges 21+(ARETHEREANY?!) ’cause this place made me feel old :/But I will have to come back and try it again because it looks kinda pretty on the inside(and that’s what matters with true love, right?).

My first experience at The Cobra Lounge was a great one. My friends and I came in after dinner, where we managed to get incredibly intoxicated before 9PM. We stumbled in here and I imagine that we were incredibly obnoxious, but the guys running the place were so nice… and tolerant of our drunken stupor lol. It happened to my birthday and two friends of mine had birthdays within the same week, so the guy at the counter gave us our membership cards for free. That was really nice of him :) We also happened to be sitting at one of the front couches, when one of the guys asked if we wanted more space and proceeded to move us into this private corner in the back. Super awesome. They checked on us regularly and responded to our drunken yells for assistance. I think they may have hated us, but they were so nice anyway and allowed for my first experience/birthday get-together here to be a fun one. The music they played was THE ish and… I love kava! AND they have coke in bottles. Oh, and people are not kidding, if you don’t pay to park in the lot out front you will get a $ 43 ticket! Those damn parking attendants sneak up on you and don’t mess around. We went outside shortly after arriving to get something out of the car and two of my friends already had tickets on their cars.

I am Loving The Cobra Lounge! The Shisha is actually really good here there are alot of fun flavors depending on what day you go and it is usually pretty mellow and relaxing! The staff is really attentive with everyone and our coals are always refilled! I have to say our visits here are always perfect! Extra star because everyone that works here is AWESOME too teehee!

The Cobra Lounge has good service, chill people, and an awesome location. You can even puff smoke rings like the boss you wish you were while ogling the Maserati dealership across the street. The only downside is the parking situation. The lot out front is Diamond. Cobra doesn’t own it… Other than that, it’s a gem. I’ll definitely keep coming back.

Came in on a Wednesday night for my 2nd smoking session at a hookah bar. The Cobra Lounge is nice and dark, with music playing. They have tables, chairs, and comfy couches. Lifetime membership; $ 5 1st bowl; Edgar Martinez has muscle relaxers in it. $ 21 2nd bowl; Sex Panther was extremely fruity but I can’t figure out what the flavors were. $?? Pros; lots of different flavors, comfy couches, relaxing atmosphere, free wifi. Con; pricey, cash only, and you have to pay to park in the lot attached.

I’m trying to understand why so many reviewers love this place. The prices are ridiculous(shisha is typically priced around $ 10) and flavor selection is dismal(where is double-apple and lemon & mint?). I understand that maybe the Cobra Lounge is trying to put a new western-spin on the shisha experience, but it really came up lacking. More reminiscent of hanging in a friend’s parent’s basement, squatting on some pillows, huddling to share a pipe made out of an apple. I think I’ll save my $ 45 next time. Luckily, as good fortune would have it, we went across the street and discovered Tavern Law. Hands-down fantastic!

Cobra has some good ISH! They are always really friendly and helpful. One time membership fee which last a year I believe, it’s well worth it and you can use it at other places but why would you want to. I haven’t been to any other hookah lounges but from what I gather this is the nicest one around. PROS-Plenty of rotating flavors I recommend trying Warrio. Good location, good music, comfy couches, & sangria in a bottle. CONS– Don’t be fooled by the parking lot right in front of their door. You have to pay, or get a $ 40 for a parking ticket. Save your money and put it towards your smoke. Also don’t forget Cobra is CASHONLY!

Just visited the Cobra Lounge after doing a bit of research as to which one I should go to. I went on a Sunday so the Marley bowls were $ 5 off but I went with the Warrio(spelled wrong on purpose?) which was watermelon and wormwood. It was a mixture of flavors I’d never tried before so I went with it and it was proven to be good. The solo guy there came by and checked on the coals every once in a while with almost perfect timing. If I end up getting a group together or someone else who is interested, I’d definitely go again in the near future. I wish there were more drink options but they do have Arizona Iced Tea flavors, water and Mexican Coke. It is cash only and the parking lot if pay only. I did not drive but they do have a chalk board sign that lets you know that it is paid parking if you did not know beforehand.

I do prefer the interior of this lounge, in comparison to Club Static. It’s much cleaner, and there are plush sectionals that you can relax on. Flavour-wise, they are limited to just a few each night… although, they are very creative. Flavours like kava, pear, & different natural herbs. Also, they put a bit of foil below the coals(which I used to assume everyone did… not so). Drawbacks? Parking is something you need to pay for, and the music is a weird mixed soundtrack. If they were to have a little bar, and a dj we’d be all set!

Sometimes you just need the night to end on more of a chill note. Comfy couches, dimmed lighting, and hookah here bring everything into a deeper mentality of chill. $ 5 cover gets you in as a «member» and then you get to choose your flavor of tobacco. One nice round can last usually last out a good 2 hours of puffing. You really need to come here in a small group — it gets boring after awhile passing between two people. Music is usually a muddle of hip/hop top 40 and other people’s conversations going on. Generally a nice crowd. Only thing Cobra lacks is drinks or even some alcoholic tea would do the trick. Other than that Cobra makes itself one fine establishment to kick back, and puff up in Capitol Hill.

Cobra lounge has more of a ‘mature’ feel that the other hookah lounges in the area. It is also the first hookah lounge that, I know of, that puts natural«tea like» herbs in it’s shesha to alter ones mood, from relaxers, aphrodisiac and worm wood which is the special ingredient in absinthe. If your fine without the remedies then they’re are regular flavors that produce a nice smooth smoke that won’t irrate the non-smoker’s throat and lungs. The shesha ranges from 14 to the special remedies that are 21 to 27ish, but 21 is the ‘mode’ average. Hot day? how about chill your lungs with some ice in the base is another service the cobra offers. Due to the no smoking laws of Washington this establishment is member only. membership is the standard $ 5.00 ‘life time’ fee. So if you need some chill time on the hill, head to the Cobra lounge.

Came here with some friends on a Saturday night after getting pleasantly buzzed from Fremont’s Hopscotch Festival. WARNING:(parts?) of the parking lot is a PAID Parking lot! I was confused because I assumed it was a part of the property,(we parked right in front) but we got a ticket on the way out and the dude behind the counter said they didn’t own the lot. Diamond Parking does. So be careful. Otherwise — this place is awesome. Great deals, especially with a group of people. Everything is half off after the first flavor choice — even if you have 2 hookahs going for the same group.(1st hookah full price, all hookahs AND refills after half price) And bottled water is $ 1! thanks for not ripping us off! Comfy couches, nice service. Their ‘top shelf’ flavors have ‘natural stimulants’… and changes all the time. We tried: Blueberry with ‘wormwood’(what absinthe is made of) Pom Com — Pomegranate with ‘aphrodisiac’ and something with Valerian Root.(helps relieve stress, anxiety and nervousness… often used to support health sleep and reduce headaches) So add that up and you get semi hallucinegic relaxed sleep tinged with an aphrodisiac flair. Good times.

So… I’ve come to the Cobra Lounge, AGAIN! The owners and employees here are so kind that you can’t help but want to hang out here all the time. On my first few visits I was learning about hookah and different tobaccos, so I went with some really fancy(and somewhat pricey) choices. However, they have TONS of other stuff to choose from that’s less expensive. I really appreciate that they have such a broad range of product to choose from because they go from basic, run of the mill stuff, to tobaccos that will make your head spin! I was so impressed with their knowledge too. Being a newbie at hookah I really depended on their recommendations. Instead of feeling ripped off by sampling their fancy stuff, they told me all about what they offered, the price variations, etc. So although they offer some stuff that’s at the higher end of the price scale — it’s just stuff that’s TOTALLY worth it! Everything else is comparable to other hookah locations but the bonus here is that the prices are the same and the atmosphere here is WAY better. It’s clean, it’s new, and the people who work here are very attentive. So I’d rather pay the same price here than go elsewhere that’s or old. Best hookah bar ever!

Cash and smoke only. There’s nothing like sitting on comfy couches with a bunch of friends and passing a hooka around. It’s dark, and smokey, and fun, and intimate, and a great way to start your evening and pair off for the make-out party up the street.

I visited The Cobra Lounge with a nice big group of Unilocalers this week, and we really enjoyed ourselves! The space is cool and cozy, the couches are very comfortable, the walls were painted by a local artist, and THEYHAVETHEIROWNPARKINGLOT! I don’t have a car, but I know that’s a pretty exciting thing for First/Capitol Hill! The owner was great and told us all the information we needed/wanted to know. He even insisted that this time our hookah experience was on the house. VERY cool of him because we came there expecting to pay. They had a lot of the«usual» flavors but we decided to try the Razzle Dazzle(Raspberry & Wormwood) and the Bob Marley(Apple & Kava Kava?). A bowl is about $ 23 there, which kind of seems like a lot… but, if you split the cost with some friends… and take your time… it doesn’t seem that bad. Plus those bowls lasted a LONG time and the staff frequently checked to make sure we were good on coals. Also, the Cobra Lounge is a music venue so there’s(usually?) a DJ providing some tunes to enjoy as you chill out with your friends. They don’t have food or a liquor license(yet??), but they did provide us with some Arizona Iced Tea(love that stuff!), bottled water, and I believe I saw a(Mexican?) coca cola bottle. Some hungry people from our group got some pizza elsewhere and brought it back to the lounge. So, what do I think? I think this is one pretty damn sweet hookah lounge! WELCOMETOSEATTLE!

Fucking cool man! Maybe not in the order of magnitude of being adopted into a ninja clan and learning the ways of stealth and dealing death. But fucking cool! Who doesn’t want to sit around on comfy couches, snuggled next to good friends and puff on some delicious smoke? Right? I really dug the place; it reminded me of college. Ya know — that dirty hippie friend — that had that house — that was kinda dark all the time — that had the«stuff» — where you could relax — and chill? But all my dirty hippie friends cleaned themselves up, became corporate and shit, live in modern apartments with really uncomfortable sofas and left me wanting. The Cobra Lounge won’t be your dirty hippie friend but it’ll give you ambiance for a small price.(Alas no booze or food, yet!) Take your corporate ass there and relive your glory days of irresponsibility.

I was just here. They were super nice and smoking felt great after the long break i’ve taken from it. I liked the way the rooms were laid out and the couches were very comfy. The art on the walls was kind of awesome and unique. I can’t see myself paying $ 20-$ 25 for the experience but still, i had a fun night. I would do it with a group. It RULES that they have their own parking.
