Very disappointed in the customer service at this truck. I ordered a mild tofu Pad See Ew, and I only realized after getting back to my office with my order, I realized that instead they gave me a spicy chicken pad thai… While I understand errors happen, this could have been avoided very easily by opening the box before giving it to the customer. Won’t go back to this truck.

We absolutely love Thai u up! We always get the garlic chicken! They forgot to give us extra chicken tonight which we paid for & when I called they brought us a whole new order of chicken! Food is great & great service!

Let’s start with saying the taste was superb. The Panang Curry, is really really tasty and just the right amount of spiciness. The two things that drop them down in my opinion are the considerations for eating the food as they are a good truck. They served the curry in two packages, one for the curry and another for the rice, without room in either package to mix the rice and curry. Major oversight. My friends food choice was served in to go container. Therefore by the time I acquired the tools to eat my food properly my food was cold.

I had hoped for much better, given the star rating and delivery availability. We had the Pad Kee Mao and Yellow Curry with a side of pot stickers. The entrees were average, as we’re the pot stickers. Not sure what’s going on with the dipping sauce. Not our thing, I guess, when you stray from the norm. I thought generally things were flavored more on the sweet side, which is not my preference. We’ll give it one more shot with different entrees just for the convenience factor and keep our fingers crossed that it was an off night.

Been curious about this food truck for a while and finally gave it a try. Right away this place lost major stars for packing my to-go order without any silverware, chopsticks, napkins or sauces. Luckily I happen to keep an extra set of all these items in my car– but I was annoyed. I got the crispy garlic chicken and a side of spring rolls for $ 15. The spring rolls were bland, most likely frozen and stuffed with a strange textured vegetable I couldn’t identity. I would definitely pass on these next time. They were served with an oil type sauce that smelled like vinegar and tasted like nothing, I was disappointed. The portion sizes are a rip off and very underwhelming compared to other Thai places. It’s barely enough food for one person, don’t count on sharing or having any leftovers. The chicken could be described as ‘chewy chicken’ verses ‘crunchy chicken’. At first I was thrilled that rice was included in the meal, but the portion is half chicken, half sticky rice on top of lettuce. Not impressed. The chicken tasted like cheap, inconsistent cuts of maybe chicken. Typically, I like to patron a place several times before reviewing, but honestly the first impression gives me no reason to return. The service was fast and friendly but do yourself a favor and get Krungthep Thai instead, much larger portions, better flavors, no sketchy food truck situation and they also deliver. $ 15 food truck meal?! Yea I won’t be back, too many better choices in Seattle.

The Past post when had the food from Thai U Up To let you all know I was hungry looking for the right dish and guess what. Well I am here again at the food truck Thai U Up. I ordered my to take home, but in fact I can not wait to eat the food it smells so good. I was driving and I am stopping at the local park to eat crispy garlic chicken. Yes eat it in my vehicle and enjoy the sprinkles of rain. You all have to try this amazing food at least once. I have decided after today I will make my way here at least twice a week. Yummy for the tummy for sure. When done I can head out to the movies to end my evening. Again Thai U Up you filled my stomach with great food.

This place used to be delicious and probably 6 months ago it started taking a brutal nose dive. I kept hoping it would get better again, but I just ordered from them for the last time. The last few times we’ve ordered from Thai U Up there’s been something missing from our order and at least one dish has been unsatisfying. This time the Phad Thai was underseasoned and covered in burned-tasting oil. The spring rolls were undercooked and bland, and apparently they stopped including rice with most of their dishes, so now it has to be ordered on the side at an additional charge. We won’t be ordering from here again. They finally hit the bottom of the culinary abyss. Take your money and your taste buds elsewhere.

This may be stating the obvious but Thai-U-Up(the Roxbury location) is a food truck! I’m a huge fan of food trucks so I was pleasantly surprised. At the time they don’t take cards which can be a pain but the food is well worth finding some cash. The food: awesome Spring rolls: you get 5 with a clear dipping sauce. They were crispy and not oily which is a huge plus. Pad See Ew(2spice rating): I personally don’t like things too spicy and this was perfect! It had good flavor and the right amount of sauce. Crispy Garlic Chicken(5spice rating): my boyfriend on the other hand loves spicy food. «Overall the dish was awesome but the 5 was really spicy. Might go for a 4 next time»

The Thai-U-Up truck appears in SLU for lunch on Wednesday and Thursday, which are the only times I’ve eaten it. I pretty much always get the Panang Curry. I think the portion size is good, and it’s a great value(I think with tax, mine comes out to $ 8.75). The truck is pretty fast, although usually when we go in a group, one person’s food takes strangely long. They now accept credit cards, which means I don’t have to worry about carrying cash. The woman taking orders is always really friendly, and the food is always pretty decent. Not the best Thai food in Seattle, but definitely a great food truck offering a good value for a delicious and quick bite.

I got the crispy garlic chicken($ 9.50) and thai tea($ 3.00) — it was pretty standard. Nothing impressive and pricing was okay. Can’t really say much in regards to service as it was nonexistent. Although ill give them the benefit of the doubt — I stood in line during lunch rush and the person at the window was just very eager to scribble food order down and move along to the next customer in line. On a completely different note, I do like the name of their food truck. Thai u up!

There are plenty of Thai options around town so it can be hard for one to stand apart from the crowed but Thai-U-Up definitely does. They menu isn’t extensive, but they’re carrying delicious versions of the usual Thai dishes that you will love, at or better than sit down restaurants. The crispy garlic chicken and volcano chicken are of my favorites here. But the prices here are the big difference. You’re getting great food at a much lower price than other Thai options around. The Roxbury location is very convenient and quick to get in and out of. You can call ahead and pick up in minutes or they can spoil your lazy butt and deliver(wish more trucks did this!) Note that at the time of this writing that its cash only, which is never a «good» thing, and only bad depending on what you have folded up in your wallet.

Even though their truck is conveniently located near Roxbury Lanes in White Cetnter, It’s pretty awesome that they deliver. I definitely think more places should consider because this is totally my lazy sunday self talking xD they’re pretty quick if you go there and order. Any deliver typically takes 45minutes since they need time to find the house and blah blah so no worries there. If you’re a foodie though, consider this: crispy garlic chicken and the phad see ew. Delicious enough for a 100 lbs, 5 foot girl to finish in one sitting hehe phad thai on the other hand, is such a big portion that i can usually eat for dinner and than pack it for 2 lunches which is pretty rad. Would definitely go back! Have to try their currys some time :]

Fast and fresh! Packaging was solid(important when you order curry /soups!) and the folk who took our oder at the truck were super friendly. We ordered Pad Thai and a chicken curry dish. The curry was made at a 3+ on the spicy level, and was indeed pretty spicy. Would have liked a few more veggies in the curry mix, but there were generous portions of chicken and rice. The Pad Thai had lots of noodles, fresh vegetables that had wonderful texture and plenty of peanuts and chicken for protein. It was served with a side of rice which felt odd, but overall the experience was pleasant.

The Pad Thai here is great!!! I’ve gotten both the chicken and tofu options and both are good. Would recommend it — quite delicious. The people here are very nice and the service is pretty fast. Overall, pretty standard Thai food, but I do think the Pad Thai is better than many other restaurants. Price is pretty standard as well ~$ 9 for the Pad Thai.

The Pad See Iew from the food truck is delicious, but be forewarned — the spice game is strong! I normally ask for 4-star spiciness from Thai restaurants, but this one is really kicking my butt! Lots of chicken, and I kind of wish there was more brocccoli. But still really good. Service was polite and fast enough; however, the noodle dishes took longer than the rice dishes. My food came out piping hot!

First time going to this food truck and it was a hit! We ordered chicken pad Thai with #2 spicy and yellow curry same level spicy. The pad Thai was great! Loved the crunchy peanuts and you could definitely taste the fish sauce in this one. I had to cut the fishy taste with the lime but others might really like this flavor! The yellow curry was delish! It had real potatoes with the skin and the perfect amount of carrots and onions. We got tofu with the curry and I loved the soft texture of the tofu, as apposed to the over cooked texture of most dishes you find elsewhere. Next time I would like to try the crispy garlic chicken, the owner told me it’s a favorite by far. They only accept cash or check so come prepared! Staff is really nice and even ran our order out to us into car so we didn’t have to wait by the food truck window.

Decent Thai Truck with quick service. I never understood the numbering systems of spicyness that go to 10. Can they really refine the spicyness to that level? One time, my husband got a 1 and it was as spicy as my 7. I did have the Pad Thai here and the portions are very decent. My coworkers who have had it seem to like it amongst the other thai food trucks available. You can find this truck lurking around South Lake Union during the week in lunch hour.

You can find the Thai-U-Up food truck at South Lake Union during lunch hour during the week. Have been here for lunch a few times. What works — the food is good, the service is quick and efficient. What does not work — they accept only cash, they are a little too generous with their sauce. My go to here is the pad see eww and the kee mao. I order a spicy 5 and do not break a sweat so my guess is they have a very liberal spice meter. If you like spicy food go for a 4 or 5 spice level.

I’ve been waiting to try this truck for some time. It’s usually in West Seattle. I caught up to it recently at the Mobile Food Rodeo. For the Rodeo, I think they planned very well. In addition to regular sized dishes, they did a number of tasting sizes. All trucks are required to have a $ 5 dish but Thai-U-Up had a number of them. I appreciated this because I was able to sample two dishes, instead of one. I’m a sucker for fried chicken of any kind. I tried the volcano chicken and crispy garlic chicken. Of the two, I liked the crispy garlic chicken better. They’re pretty much the same with different sauces. They are CRISPY! I love that. I had rice with my chicken and they cooked it well. That seems like a strange thing but I like my rice a little sticky. Separate grains and I don’t get along. The portions were good. Service was quick and the food came out in decent time. Overall, I’d eat there again and hope to try more of the menu.
