I am not sure why this place isn’t more highly rated, because I found it to be delicious and authentic. I had the red curry with tofu and jasmine rice. For less than $ 10 I got more than I could possibly eat. They tailored the spiciness to my liking. The infused vinegars(jalapeño and scallion) on the counter did not add too much additional spice, but did add a nice tangy flavor. It was a really nice meal for a cold Seattle day!

Took too long, needs a better system with a high volume traffic. The pad thai wasn’t that good, I’ve had better.

Would leave a zero if possible. «I’m sorry she’s too stressed out»…after canceling our order an hour later and charging our card. Thanks. Bye.

For a food court place, this place is good. Average prices for thai in the Seattle area. This place is located inside Uwajimaya food court. They have already cooked food items you can just order from and is a lot faster but I got the pud see ew that they make when you order it. I think I waited less than 10 mins and the food was ready. The food court is super packed and busy during lunch time so I usually take it togo and eat it at my work. This place is cheaper than Thai Curry simple place down the street and they give you more food. My only complaint is that the pud see ew can be a little greasy but it was still good. Wish it came with rice. But for a food court resturant, this place gets 2 thumbs up from me!

This is my go to place for Thai in the International District and favorite vendor in the Uwajimaya food court. Fast, friendly and yummy! The pre-made Lunch combo is $ 7.26+tax(one item) and $ 8.22+tax(two items). Full menu is freshly cooked and available anytime.

I wasn’t expecting much from a restaurant in a food court, but I got the pud ba mee(stir-fried egg noodles and vegetables), and it was delicious. The noodles were firm, but not undercooked. I don’t like carrots, broccoli, or celery, so I just didn’t eat those. But I loved the bean sprouts, onions(white and green), and mushrooms. I don’t like spicy food, so I ordered it with«no spice.» The sauce had just enough flavor without being overpowering. I second what other reviewers say about getting something that’s not in the warming trays, though. The food in the trays looked pretty unappetizing.

I always get the pad thai here when I am in Seattle. I really like it. It’s spicy, sweet and savory. Plus, it’s very reasonably priced!

I had the wonton soup here. It’s a good sized bowl with shrimp wonton, noodles, bok choi, cilantro, carrot slivers, garluc and chives. Tasty. Simple, good, quick lunch option.

I had their lunch combination to go yesterday and it was not bad for American taste. I had red curry and it came with phad Thai and rice. It had the Thai essence, but some elements were missing to give it that genuine Thai taste. Perhaps I will try a different entrée next time. Overall it was an OK experience.

The royal sweet and sour chicken was good but the spring rolls tasted absolutely disgusting

Love this place although it can be very busy it’s very delicious and i love the portions. I had a poor experience elsewhere with my severe allergy and it made going out to thai sketchy for me but I can always trust they make my food right. Definitely recommend going there if you happen to be at uwajimaya.

Delicious… price reasonable. Get the items on the menu where they have to use the grill. I prefer fresh as possible. This is located next to several other eateries inside Uwajimaya. I had #11.

well… not the best. i am weird and dont like veggies(dont judge me!) but am also obsessed with pad thai. so i always get the chicken pad thai without veggies at every thai place i try for the first time. i feel like its pretty simple to make. anyway, i told the lady taking orders specifically which ingredients not to put on the pad thai and got a bunch of them anyway. not her fault – they were on the receipt, the cook just skipped over them. the food was definitely bland. service was decent and they were nice, but the food has to follow up and be great, but it wasnt. wont be going back.

I’ve seen this place in passing quite frequently, but always hesitated to give it a try. I’ve been spoiled by some pretty amazing Thai food(Fremont, Cap Hill), but I was really hungry and the price seemed right. It ended up being roughly the same cost of ordering something from a nice sit-down thai restaurant. Which isn’t necessarily a bad thing, except that the food just wasn’t good. Service was prompt and polite. I ordered Cashew Chicken and Fried Rice to go. I’m also glad I opted to have it put in a bag, because by the time I got home(roughly 5 minutes), sauce had leaked out of the container and filled the plastic bag. The sauce all came from the Cashew Chicken, which was really just overcooked cabbage, some carrots and undercooked onions drowned in a dark, sweet viscus sauce(that wasn’t noticeable when I was ordering until a few scoops were taken out of the tray). There were a few tiny nuggets of chicken present but not a single cashew. I found the fried rice way too sweet to be appetizing and the rice itself was overcooked and soggy. It was unlike any Thai fried rice I’ve ever eaten — in a bad way. If I really wanted thai food and this was my only option, I’d just not eat thai food. …1 star for making me sick the rest of the day. :|

So it was about closing time and I was really hungry because I worked from 9 – 7 without a single hot meal. In a rush, I ordered Thai food here because we were already shopping in ID. I am super picky about my food, I like four stars phad Thai with no onions or peanuts, and with broccoli added. In the past two weeks, two restaurants with greater ratings and reviews weren’t capable of doing that for me. I ordered here, in hopes of it being just the way I wanted. And it was! I was super happy about it and honestly I think my happy mood helped the girl at the register be in a great mood because she looked stressed before my order and then afterwards I got her to cheer up a bit. English wasn’t her first language obviously but she tried and she made my order right and tasty! I didn’t stay to eat long and most places in ID can be dirty or lax about requirements so I don’t expect anything epic.

There are 2 staffers at this location that have great people skills, friendly and courteous; a young gentleman, and a the young lady that cashiers on most days. This is the only good news about this place. 1. The food flavor and taste is inconsistent: Sometimes the Curry is very runny, somtimes there are no cashews to speak of in the Cashew Chicken. Some steam tray items are dried out, or soggy. To run out of rice is ridiculous for a Thai Restaurant at any level. 2. The older looking worker that serves items from the steam table seems to posses major issues when it comes to serving the public— I have never seen a server count the green beans, or pieces of chicken she places in a container for a customer(she really counts), instead of just serving a consisten portion to all customers. It was like watching«paint dry» as she counted; my first thought was to walk away and I should have. And if this were not bad enough, a gentleman came behind me, and she did no counting at all on what he ordered from the steam table. I cannot wait until my company moves its’ 400 employees away from the I.D., and maybe this Food Spot will better appreciate the hard working folks that supported them. Treat your customers with consideration, and respect or get out of the food business.

This is my first time eating in Uwajimaya, and when I came in with my friend, we each tried food from somewhere different. I was hoping to go for the orange chicken, pad thai, spring roll combo, but unfortunately spring rolls are not allowed to be part of the two-entrée combo, so I had garlic chicken instead. It was a lot of chicken, I assure you! I actually had enough in my portion to have another meal’s worth, and enjoyed it as cold leftovers a few days later. The food was obviously better warm, and was crispy and covered in sauce. The pad thai was good, authentic but obviously made en masse and as a ‘street food.‘ I would certainly consider coming back, because the portion size was huge for the price, and I had no problems with my order. Good enough for me for a quick lunch!

I hate this place so much. Not only did they give my order away to another customer without checking the receipt/ticket number but they didn’t bother to cook another one. Even the gal who was giving out free samples couldn’t communicate with them. The two females at the front counter kept telling me they were cooking it in the back but they were so disorganized and failed at communication they left me angry and frustrated. I tried to ask for a refund but they couldn’t understand me or maybe they didn’t understand the concept of what a refund was. It was such a waste of time and energy. They’re immensely rude and they don’t appreciate your business. Just for kicks I decided to go on the King County Restaurant Inspection site and pulled the following information: Routine Inspection/Field Review date 4÷19÷13. Result was Unsatisfactory. Docked for not having adequate handwashing facilities, not having food workers cards current, not having wiping clothes properly used and stored, and for not having non-food contact surfaces maintained and cleaned. I hope they get their business license revoked somehow.

Man, I hate writing bad reviews, but these guys have earned it. I don’t know about the ‘cooked to order’ stuff, but avoid the steam table fare like the plague. I had the ‘2 items + phad thai & rice’ combo. Had to explain to the server who was piling on the rice, ‘don’t I get some phad thai with that?’. She shoveled the rice back into the bin and piled on the phad thai. For my two choices, I had the orange chicken and the garlic chicken. The orange chicken was actually pretty good, in a ‘guilty-pleasure-like-panda-express-tangy-sweet-glop’ kind of way. The garlic chicken, though, was awful, with some weird off tastes. My suspicions were confirmed when I spent the following night making frequent trips to the ‘throne room’, if you get my drift. Service was nothing to write home about either; brusque and borderline rude. I’m really surprised these guys are still in business. I guess I was lulled into a false sense of security by how good Shilla was(a couple of stalls down), I simply assumed Uwajimaya made sure everyone who did business under their roof was a class act. In the case of Thai Place, not so much :(

I begin this review by saying that I don’t eat the food at Uwayjimaya’s food court very often(excluding sweet treats like cream puffs and crepes). I eat at Thai Place because they make a dish called pud ba me and I like the way it is typically prepared. You’ll note that I said«typically» prepared. The dish is inconsistently cooked. One day, there can be tons of veggies; another day, completely full of noodles. One day, two stars is just hot enough; another day two stars will set my mouth on fire. I stopped eating the other food there because it’s simply not good. The service also varies. Depending on who is working the counter, you can get friendly, efficient service, but that is also inconsistent at best. Once, I ordered a dish, got all the way back to my office in the business district and found it was the wrong thing. I was so infuriated that I actually went back there. I didn’t get an apology. I didn’t get my money back. I didn’t get any offer of anything to compensate me for the 25 minute round trip to bring the incorrect dish back. It simply didn’t occur to them to do any of those things. Nice. Suffice to say that I eat there less and less as time goes by. I’m searching for a place that makes pud ba me to my liking so that I may permanently replace this spot.
