Let me start by saying that I don’t consider myself a food snob. I’m a world traveler and have eaten some pretty questionable foods along the way. That being said, I can honestly say that this may be the worst food I have ever had. My first clue that it wasn’t going to be good was when I was handed my food about a minute and a half after I ordered it. No joke. Then the lady working the front took my credit card and told me to sit at the table and she would ring me up in a minute. Then I watched her walk away from the register with my credit card in hand, walk over to the open to customers counter that has all the condiments and extra spices that customers can grab and sit my card down on the counter and walk away. So I walk over and get my card and sit back down at the table and wait. When the lady went back up to the front where the register is I went back up there and tried to pay again and she ignored me. I stood there for a few minutes while she brought food to some tables and then rang up some dining in customers and finally she told me to sit back down and she would get to me in a minute. 5 minutes later I go back up to the register and tell her I need to leave as I only have a half hour lunch break and if she doesn’t ring me up I will have to leave my food behind and not pay. So this gets her attention and she stops what she’s doing and rings me up. All in all it was 15 minutes after I was handed my food before I was rang up. When I got back to my office and opened the take out container the first thing I noticed was the smell. I got a sauteed beef dish and it smelled like a freshly opened can of cat food. And to be honest, it didn’t look a whole lot different than a freshly opened can of cat food either. The beef was grayish in color and tasted like it came from a giant stock pot of pre-boiled beef. I don’t think anything in my dish was actually sauteed. It was all just mush like it was all pre-made in the morning and then just stored in hot water all day and they just assemble it when you order it. The vegetables could have been swallowed without even chewing them. The sauce was supposed to be a garlic chili sauce but it looked and tasted like a cafeteria style brown gravy. It had almost no flavor and even though I ordered it 3 stars it had no spice whatsoever. Even the rice was bad. It looked like mashed potatoes and had the same mushy consistency as everything else. I paid $ 15 for my dish and had one bite of rice, one bite of beef and one bite of veggies and then it went right into the trash. The only reason I gave them one star is because zero isn’t an option.

Don’t go here durring peak hours(11AM-2PM). They are highly understaffed and service will be horrible durring those times. Do come here durring slow times of the day to have some great pad thai. If they could fix their staffing and service issues, I would give them five stars.

I’d have to say the reviews on here made me very skeptical to even try this place. I expected the food to be gross and greasy, leaving me thinking — my fellow Unilocalers were right, this place is bleh. Surprisingly, my thoughts were nothing near so. Hmm… I ordered to-go Beef Phad Kee Mao(5 stars) and a Thai Iced Tea. Glad to say my lunch was spot on! The noodles were the right texture, color, and flavor. There was a good balance between meat, noodles, and vegetables. And, most importantly, the heat was right on; Exactly how 5 stars should taste; Exactly how Phad Kee Mao should taste. I do plan on going back and hopefully it’s consistent. Maybe I got lucky? Maybe I didn’t. Either way, I have nothing bad to say about my experience here. Belly is satisfied.

I found this place after making a turn down the wrong street one day. I thought it might be a hidden gem, so I made it a point to come back. I was incredibly disappointed. I came in during lunchtime and there were a few people there. The service wasn’t lightning fast, but it wasn’t painfully slow either. I will say that everyone was super friendly, but I don’t know… the food just didn’t taste good. I always get pad see ew with chicken everywhere I go. It had no flavor. It just tasted like spicy, greasy noodles. And, I requested 4 stars. Not sure if it goes any spicier than that, but if I ever came back(which I never will), I’d get more stars. 4 stars was not spicy at all. Comparable to a 1 – 2 at most other places. I also had spring rolls, which were alright, but kind-of salty. Also, I felt like it was pricey, especially for lunch on a weekday. The portions were not very big either. For the spring rolls and the pad see ew, I paid $ 17, not including tip. Seems slightly more than what I’ve paid at other, more flavorful Thai restaurants. I won’t be back.

Wow. On my tour of Seattle Thai restaurants, I was hoping to find a hidden gem in Sodo/Georgetown, but this was not to be. I almost could not eat the Yum Neur. The beef was all chewy fat and gristle; the lime chili dressing was nothing more than lime juice and chilies. Too much mint was unceremoniously tossed in. Even the tomatoes were upset about having to be served in such an awful dish. And while the ladies running the place were very nice, service was slow beyond third-world standards. Will never go back.

Ok, here was my experience. I go inside, I was greeted by a very friendly woman. She sat me down, we chatted briefly about how nice it was outside, she poured me a glass of water. Then I checked out the menu, decided on something, and then I waited… and waited… waited some more…(there was only one other table that had two gentlemen sitting for lunch). Then the lady entered the room again, and she checked in with the other table, and left, and then I waited some more. Then I got up and left. There was no reason for me to be sitting there that long. The place was pretty much empty. I’m giving two stars just cause the lady that greeted me was nice, but I would never go back.

This place is pretty good. I’ve only been there twice, but both times the food was pretty tasty, nothing out of this world, but good. The first time we sat in and ate there for lunch and the service was terrible, I think they forgot about us, we had to go up to the desk to order our food. Definitely a place to call in and take out.

Ordered the Pad see ew — three stars. There scale is mild, medium, hot and very hot(1 – 4 stars). For me three stars was plenty spicy and I do like a little heat in my Thai food. All too often I order dishes«spicy» only to have them be mild or bland — catering to the lowest common denominator. At Thai Delight, three stars is really spicy. That is a point in their favor. I wouldn’t make a special trip here, but if I was passing through the area and was hungry I would definitely eat here again. One glitch, however, is that when I went to pay they told me that I could either pay with cash or they would add a $.50 fee to my bill if I paid with debit. If you only order one item and plan on using your debit to pay, then you will be charged that fee. I’ve never encountered that at other restaurants.

We stopped in as it was nearby one of our errands and we were starving. In hindsight, I wish I had quelled our stomachs long enough and stopped at one of our favorite spots near downtown. The staff/owner was very nice and welcoming. But the phad see euw I ordered was underwhelming. It was heavily peppered(black pepper that is) and it was rather dry for my taste. I can’t say I would never go back but I will say that I won’t ever order the phad see euw again.

I am biassed because I have known the owner for 15 or 20 years. Her name is Glory and she used to take care of my grandma. She would constantly invite us over to her house for Thai food and exclaim«eat! Eat! Eat!» as soon as we entered her house. My experience tonight was fantastic. Glory was cooking and she came out to say hi. She was thrilled to see me. She’s a very warm person and her warmth is genuine. The food was good. I got phad thai, one star, with soft tofu. I agree with the previous Unilocalers that they know how to make it spicy. My «one star» was more like 1.5−2.0 stars at other places. It was perfect in terms of spiciness. It only took a few minutes to receive our food. What a wonderful place. I hope they continue their wonderful business.

The food is average. I had the larb gai and some kind of soup last time i was there. I ruin most of my food with a ton of hot sauce so it doesn’t reallly matter. I will say that the ladies who run that place are really sweet. I stopped by to get a thai tea(probably the best thing they have there) but didn’t have any cash on me. Even though they don’t normally take cards for that amount, she hooked me up by charging me for a meal then giving me the cash back. It took awhile but I appreciated that they went out of their way to help me out.

Authentic or not authentic I wouldn’t have a clue I am neither Thai or have I been to Thailand hower what I do know is I really enjoyed my food! I got a Pad Ku Née or something like that(#31 i think) on recomendation of a friend who’s coworker gets that all the time. I got the chicken version and a «2 star». The 2 was hotter than some that I have had but my tongue seemed to get used to it. I think I liked that it was a very unique wide noodle that I had not had before and the flavor was… well the only word I could think of was«deep.» You got the impression that everything was cooked in an old«seasoned» wok or skillet that had all of the flavors cooked into it. I got the chicken version and the chicken was tender and not dried out at all. I also tried my friends«no star»(what’s the point really?) yellow curry and THAT was delicious. She ordered the«Black Sticky Rice» desert, very unique. I would be reluctant to recomend it since it is so different and I don’t know how many folks would like it. If your like to try new things spend a few bucks and try this. I agree with Alison R. the ladies working their have personalities(didn’t see that coming) one lady felt comfortable enough to give me crap about not eating all of my brocolli, in a fun way.

It’s a little more authentic than most Thai restaurants, but overall the food is just so-so with the exception being their excellent green curry. Their noodle dishes are pretty bland — they are quite conservative when it comes to spiciness and I’d pass on the iced coffee.

Pretty standard Seattle Thai food. Yummy, not too expensive, they are super friendly and they deliver in the neighborhood! A big plus for me! If you order curry they give you fried rice to go with it which is kinda different but good because it’s almost like you get an extra dish for no extra cost! Try ‘em, it’s yummy!

I tend to swing through here for thai food when I’m in the mood. After being exposed to a lot more thai food, it’s a bit average, but the ladies who work here are so nice! Their deep fried tofu is pretty yummy. Last time the lady gave me the standard sauce and 2 more sauces to try the tofu with. I didn’t try the sauces after sniffing them, but the gesture was appreciated. I always get the peanut noodle dish and it always is satisfying. Overall, I’d suggest swinging through here if you’re down in Georgetown and hunting for some thai.

Your average anywhere thai. We called to see when they would be open until and she said if we were ordering take out she’d stay open for us until 8:30. This seemed nice, until we got there and everything said they were open until 9pm. So be careful as it sounds like they may close early if they think it’s a slow night. The food was fine. The yellow curry was specifically missing any sign of potato. The brown rice seemed odd, but was a nice touch over your standard white/jasmine at most places. The menu says free delivery, didn’t ask about it though.

I am surprised by how many stars this place is getting. My experience here was terrible. I am not particularly picky about food but I couldn’t even finish my meal. From the hard noodles in my phad thai to the vegetable noodle dish having no flavor at all it was hard to continue to swallow this food. The only thing I could eat was the fried tofu. I will never step foot in this place again.

Thai Delight is a lunchtime mainstay for my workmates and I when we require the hot stuff. This restaurant has several things going for it. Take-out is speedy in the lunchtime rush. The dishes are humble but very satisfying. The heat can be adjusted to your liking from mild warmth that pleasantly heats up your mouth to Blow Up Your Mind H.O.T.!! Ask for five stars and some thai chillies in fish sauce and you too can have your facial tissue sliding off your mug! Some good basic dishes to start with are of course the Phad Thai or Red Curry with choice of meat. The curry is soul-full and warming on slate grey and/or rainy Seattle days. *sigh* Try it, you will warm from within. But there are 43 more menu options to satisfy your curiosity in thai cuisine. Rice portions are a little small in the to-go box but there is a rice shortage according to the owner. She is very nice and genuinely appreciates her customers. Bring cash or you’ll have to pay a minor charge to use a card. Hey, it’s expensive to keep that little terminal ringing up the sales and ring up they do. If you stay to eat it does get busy with the lunch rush. Overall this is a nice lunchtime thai fix. Whether dining at one of their tables or slurping the last of the red curry laced coconut nectar from the to-go container at you desk, Thai Delight will tempt your thoughts when your hungry crew asks«Where should we go for lunch today?»

Typical quick lunch stop for Thai food. The food itself was good, spicy, because I asked for 3 stars, on scale from 1 – 4, 4 being the hottest, and well I could feel a bit of the burn. It wouldn’t kill a small animal but I wouldn’t feed it to my kids, if you get my meaning. Staff were nice, they take Credit and Debt cards but you should note they charge an additional fee if your charge is less than $ 15.00! Something about the heavy transaction fees the bank charges them. Anyway, back to the food. A member of our group had the standard Phad Thai, it looked good and the portion was a okay size, but for lunch and a price of $ 6.95 it seemed a little lacking. It came with a really small cabbage salad, that I would have liked to pass on. My dish Pad Se Lew which is basically Chowmein using a wide fat noodle, was okay, nothing to write home about, I ordered it with pork, it might have had about 4 – 5 pieces of «meat» in it! Another member of our group ordered a chicken curry dish, typical watery style curry, it was tasty and looked nice but again the portion was lacking. They charged for rice and that seemed silly since portions were small. They should drop the salad and give you the rice with your meal! 3 stars for service and flavor of the food. Zero stars for serving some of the worst water I have ever had at a restaurant. They need to offer more lunch«specials» that combo the rice and maybe a soup or salad. For that area of town the restaurant offerings are slim and this place was just okay, in my book.
