Thai curry simple is a great place. The pad Thai here is delicious. The service is prompt and the atmosphere is friendly. Highly recommended.

Just ordered Thai Simple through a Peach order at the office! I chose the MEAT option: Chicken Panang Curry. Best red curry I’ve had in a while, packed full of chicken and with extremely great satisfying flavor! Also very reasonable pricing for Seattle: $ 9.95 + Tax. Planning on paying a visit to the actual restaurant some time!

Nothing special, the pad see ew and the pad thai were both okay, nothing too great or bad to say about it… only open for lunch during the week and you have to go through the kitchen to get to the bathroom. pretty cheap and filling though.

Not super impressed. Maybe they just forgot to put sauce on mine but the pad ke mow was pretty bland. No parking if your getting it to go. They get you in and out fast though.

My favorite lunch restaurant in the ID. Prices are good, ambiance is friendly, menu is simple but everything on it is exceptional. The owners(Mark and Picha) are truly wonderful people and they’ll take time out of their busy day to chat with you. They donated to a dessert dash for a nonprofit I work at, and they regularly do pop up fundraising events for the community. If you like Thai Curry Simple, be sure to check out Wann Yen in the U District. It’s Picha’s newest adventure. Unique and delicious :)

So good! It doesn’t look like much from the outside but the food was great and the owner was incredibly friendly. Pop by for lunch if you’re in the mood for some great Thai.

This place is really awesome but is also really small so not good for big groups but the food was extremely good. They also have a really cool ambience with some reggae music playing and the staff were overly nice I would recommend it to anyone.

I’ve been eating at Thai Curry Simple as a regular for the last 5 years and love this place. I try to make it at least once a week and still can’t get enough of their food. Not only is everything on the menu great, but if you are lucky enough to be there when they have a special, that’s also a treat. In addition to the food, the owners and employees are always friendly and eager to make your experience at the restaurant awesome. I highly recommend this place.

Total find on the edge of the ID. Simple, no-frills delicious food. TCS is a regular on my lunch rotation. Pad Kee Mao, Pad See Ew and the dessert rotis are the standout dishes that I can’t recommend enough. Not a place for dates, but definitely a place foodies seek out. I’m always super tempted to buy one of the bird houses hanging from the ceiling, but I might be the only one as they are there week after week. Always ask if they have a special. Some of their most delightful dishes haven’t been listed on the menu.

A little disappointed in the flavor of the phad see ew. This was the dish the young lady behind the register said was her favorite. The sauce was extremely sweet. I mix it in with my own papaya salad, and it was much better. No lime given after 3 requests. I could not tell what kind of green vegetable was in the noodles. Small space, but cute. General store as well. I did not see it.

Had the green curry. Good, not too spicy. Then I tried the Ro Ti. Oh wow! Flaky pastry made w/sugar and condensed milk. One of the best desserts I have ever tasted. Could have eaten another serving…

Best pad thai I’ve had that I can remember. Perfect portion sizes, reasonable prices and delicious iced tea to wash it down. Can’t go wrong here.

I’ve been twice and the noodles are okay. There are other restaurants nearby that I would rather go to. Note: the thai iced tea can keep you up late a night!

Update. It was inevitable prices would go up. Given the pricepoint in my initial review of $ 5 for curry, it is understandable given the higher cost of living in Seattle now. Still, the prices for curry is reasonable at $ 7.95. Their noodle dishes like pad kee mao are a dollar more. And I believe the most expensive dish tops out at $ 10.95 so it is still an affordable spot to go for Thai. They also have daily specials that are different from the usual fare that most Thai restaurants offer. Stopped by again for some green curry($ 7.95) to go. The size of the dish seems consistent with my previous visit. It is right sized for a lunch meal, rather than overly massive. And the curry came out quickly as I was in and out of the restaurant in 5 minutes. I did notice that the dish didn’t have a whole lot of chicken and eggplant though, as it was full of bamboo shoots. The curry is also a bit spicy. So if you are not a fan of bamboo and/or can’t take the heat, I would advise choosing a different curry If you are looking for reasonably priced Thai curry in a hurry in the I-D or near/around downtown Seattle during weekday lunch hours, Thai Curry is a good spot.

Don’t let the outside of this unassuming joint near Union Station fool you; inside the décor is as bright and cheerful as the staff. Appearances aside, they have some of the best Pad Thai and Pad See Ew in Seattle, and my dining companions raved about their curries as well. Definitely a hidden gem of a lunch spot!

I came here during my lunch and ordered the chicken pad see ew. I would have ordered beef but the cashier told me they don’t have beef which is very surprising to me. This place is small… so I had to to go my food. It was around $ 9 which is very expensive considering it that it was lunch, not dinner. I think I waited 10 minutes for my food to come out. I was actually surprised to see a white cook giving me my food. The cashiers in front of the restaurant obviously looked and spoke Thai. Took me off guard but whatevs, can’t discriminate. All long as the food is good, I don’t care who cooks it. Butttttttttttt. the food was not good… It didn’t even taste like the pad see ew I’ve had in the past. It was bland and greasy. to the point where I couldn’t finish it AND I ALWAYSFINISHMYFOOD. I had to douse it with Sriracha… Yeah, for $ 9. I would expect the dish to have more than one type of vegetable instead of the tough parts of Chinese broccoli. Maybe I’ll come back if I’m desperate for thai food.

This is a great little place to get a simple Thai dish lunch. Although it’s cash only, you can also order online on their website to pick up, and pay with paypal. You’re going to get a piping hot and pretty spicy bowl of something tasty. I ordered the green curry with chicken, and was pleasantly surprised for the quality for the price!

This is the place to get yummy Thai food quickly! They are so fast! Conveniently next to King St. Station, I was able to get my lunch and Thai Tea and still and the train. Cute, cozy atmosphere with a little bit of seating. The food was great, will come back again to try some more!

I love this place! If you are in need of some DELICIOUS Thai food, this is the spot! Yes, there are so many great Thai restaurants in the Greater Seattle Area but Thai Curry Simple, [simply] stands out: 1) TCS offers a smaller menu than most Thai restaurants but this can very well be appreciated as it allows them to focus on and perfect the dishes they know well. 2) TCS offers popular items, such as Phad See Ew, Phad Thai, and Chicken Satay. However, their CURRY is the game winner here.(Obviously, they are called Thai Curry Simple.) A couple of years ago, I had just returned from a month long trip to Thailand and was on a hunt for some thai curry that could match what I had back in the homeland. The best curry I had was somewhere on the streets in Bangkok… and then I tried TCS’s panang curry. THEBESTCURRY I’VEEVERHAD. Everything about it was perfect.(I also recommend their green and red curry; hell, I recommend every curry!) 2) TCS offers a daily special everyday. If you are a thai food fanatic, this is something you want to keep your eye on as a lot of the times, they serve items that are hard to find in the area. Their most popular appears to be the all traditional khao mun gai(poached chicken over ginger rice with garlic dipping sauce and winter melon soup) which is served on Mondays. If anyone is on a hunt for some good khao mun gai in Seattle, TCS is the spot. I’ve yet to find another place in the area that makes khao mun gai as good or even at all! 3) TCS makes their own curry paste! So no, none of that canned stuff. While various places are looking to cater to the American taste buds or looking to produce quick-and-easy curry fixes, TCS appears to embrace the traditional ways of Thai cooking, even if it means getting special ingredients that aren’t found in the US shipped directly from TH. They sell their curry pastes and a variety of other pastes and sauces(tom yum, som tum, etc) in packets, some even in bulk size. My boyfriend absolutely loves these and refuses to make curry with any other curry. The curry pastes are full of flavor already so very little seasoning is needed, if any. 4) Lastly, I must mention the owners — Mark and Picha, the sweetest couple. Their love for food is obvious but their generosity and passion for sharing good and authentic Thai food with the community shines through. They take care of their customers and never hesitate to send you home with a little something extra ;) Thank you TCS for offering honest and authentic Thai food in the Seattle area. I highly recommend this place to any and everyone! P. S. They have an awesome drink menu, as well :)

My fav restaurant to pick up food to go! They are quick and I like their boxes(no curry leaks) and most importantly the food is yummmm! I am a vegetarian, so it is really simple for me to order. They have in their menu, a «tofu curry of the day». So I always order that and it s really good. So each day it is tofu with a different curry and a different vegetable. I know it is potato on Tuesday. It is served with brown/white rice. They have now renovated the place and the food is yummier and they also accept credit cards. Yay!

Awesome little curry spot. We stopped here for lunch based off the good reviews. The restaurant is very quaint and has a cool feel to it. All of the menu and«rules» of the place are written on a chalkboard. They base their food off of quick fast-food curry you could find on any corner in Bangkok. And when they say fast food, they mean it. We had our whole order within two minutes. Not sure if it was the owner or manager, but a gentleman stopped by our table twice to say hello and make sure everything was good. Great quick and cheap lunch. We will definitely be back.
