A small piece of Homeland. Tashkent and Seattle is a — sister cities, as a matter of fact.

Note — this is not a destination park! More so for, as the other reviewer noted, adding a little greenery to a congested neighborhood. It’s basically about 4 – 6 lots, with a bench or two and a sculpture. I’ve never really seen anyone here other than the occasional transient, and the other day there was a guy posing by the statue(tai chi maybe??), or people walking a dog through. I do appreciate it for bringing a little openness and nature into the area!

This park has a nice sculpture in it, some big shady trees and a strange frame over a small brick plaza that looks exactly like a bus stop(but it is not a bus stop.) When I’m walking through the neighborhood I try to walk through just because it gives my ears a grassy break from the echos of streets and sidewalks. Tashkent Park seems like the type of park that exists just to relieve the neighborhood of its density and give old people a place to teeter to and from on their daily walks.
