20 mins later… still waiting for my to go order… may be 8 ppl in the restaurant total(already served). This happens all the time… dont know why I subject myself to this frustration. Mexi fries aren’t worth it. Wudve been faster to drive to the Aurora location then to come here.

I just came to have dinner with my family but found the quality of the food to not be proper and right as compared with the local Aurora Taco Time. The order was wrong and the quantity of the food was terrible. The location has no heating, it’s freezing inside. This is one of the worst experiences I have had at this location. I’m never coming back, I’ll go to a different location. I’d put zero stars on this place, if I could.

Another epic fail! 15 minutes seems to be their normal wait time in their drive-thru. Sad. Really.

I love Taco Time but this is the worst TT food I’ve ever had! The fried food was all reheated in the fryer for 2 maybe 3 times. super overcooked and gross! The rice was hard, food was cold. Best part of our meal were the condiments and our drinks. When I pay over $ 20 bucks for a meal for 2 people I expect it to be good and fresh. This definitely was not.

I don’t usually Unilocal, however, this was the worst taco time experience I’ve ever had. My mom and I love TT so we were happy to have one down the street, finally. Tonight we went down there to bring some food home. None of the 3 burritos we ordered were correct, the guy taking the orders did not let me finish my order before sending me through to the window, we paid for a side of sour cream and never got it, plus, once he knew he was wrong, he wouldn’t come back to the window. Even had someone else give us the bag of food. I am in the service industry so I understand the occasional rough night, busy through the holidays, etc. But that should never take away from having and trying to put a smile on everyone’s face. Merry Christmas, lake city TT, I hope you get better at life next year. End rant.

This location is essentially run by high school students who spend more time talking and hanging out instead of working. We waited at the drive thru window and watched them not wrap our tacos… Jonathan, the cashier, and the employees working there left out items in our order because of their lack of attention and care for their job.

Don’t bother. I was excited to see this store going in So close to our house. We’ve tried 4 – 5 times to eat here giving this place a fair chance to keep us as customers. There hasn’t been one time that something wasn’t wrong with the order or with the food. Cold food is my least favorite. What a disappointment. I won’t be going back.

Oct 30, around 9 pm got hot mexi fries in my meal, fresh and nicely rolled soft tacos, and an amazing pinto bean tostato salad. I see some rough reviews on this location, but it seems that they have fixed the problems.

I love T-Time. I thought all my dreams had come true when there was a new one opening in my neighborhood. But sadly, this one has some work to do. I have been a here a few times and every single time, it takes forever to get through the Drive-Thru. Of the times I have come, my mexi nuggets are pretty disappointing but everything else is still ok. I hope over time they make improvements because they could do so much better!

I like Taco Time. I really do. Having said that this location SUCKS! I don’t know if it’s their training location or what but everything is just awful. The service is terrible, and the drive through is so slow it’s basically a non-option. If you do use it you can expect your food to be cold by the time you get it. Worst of all there seems to be an honesty problem with a few employees. The last two times I’ve been there they tried to shortchange me.

I wish that I could select no stars because our first experience here was horrible. We got dinner here on Friday, the flavors were all off on our orders.(There was 5 of us) I ate 25% of my food while everyone else finished theirs. We all got sick and felt food poisoned right after. Do yourself a favor and avoid going here unless you’re asking for a death wish. I would never wish this kind of pain on my enemies…

It wasn’t until I went to a different taco time when I realized how sub-par the lake city taco time really is. The tater tots are barely warm and soggy. The tacos that I pay $ 6 for has barely any meat and the ingredients are not well distributed so each bite is a surprise… mostly tortilla or a mouth full of just lettuce. The employees aren’t much better. While a order taker furiously works there are at least 3 others standing around not doing anything but talking about things not work related. They need to step it up. Crispier tots that are hot-tacos that are well made and employees that are able to work well together to create a more pleasant experience.

This was my third time here and, like many of the other reviewers here, I expected that they would be past the awkward«we just opened and we’re all new stage.» I was sorely disappointed. I’ve done my tour in fast food and spent a decade or so in retail… so I’m completely sympathetic to the stress and challenges a new guy fresh behind the counter can face. THATBEINGSAID… He was grossly undertrained and had not one clue about what was on their menu. He told me they didn’t offer chocolate milk(for my kids’ meals) in spite of the fact that I was looking right at the chocolate milk on their reader board and I’ve ordered it before. They had chocolate milk, he just couldn’t find it on his till. He should’ve asked for help. The ordering ordeal took far too long and the order was wrong. I had ordered it to-go(he asked me twice) and it was handed to me for dine-in. The order was wrong, I got the wrong tacos. And *sigh* the mexi fries were cold. Rest assured… I don’t like complaining. I enjoy writing positive reviews. But this place is in bad shape which is sad for a new restaurant.

You have to give Taco Time huge props just for building such a nice location being it is in a not so great part of town– this is one step to making Lake City Way a more friendly place to visit. The store is clean, staff was friendly and food was prepared quickly and correctly. It is nice to be able to get a somewhat healthy meal with grilled chicken and veggies served for a competitive price in a quick and friendly fashion. The hot sauce is great here and is self service so you can enjoy all you can handle. A wonderful new location in terms of building design and décor and a well run Taco Time.

Such sadness… I was so excited about a Taco Time going in on LCW close to home, and finally went to grab a coke and Mexi Fries. Waiting in the drive thru I started to read the reviews and saw a few about cold food and messed up orders. Since my order was super simple it was hard to mess up, but my Mexi nuggets were cold! Usually they are so hot you have to wait a few mins before tucking in, but these were barley warm. Hoping the owner and restaurant manager are checking reviews to help fix the problem!

So I’ve given them time to get over their«just opened» issues and have been back a few more times despite my coworkers constant complaints of messed up orders and my own experiences with how poorly they fulfill the orders. Today was my last trip to this Taco Time. My 2 beef soft tacos were served at colder than room temperature… I don’t mean to say that they were not hot… I mean you could have picked up anything else that had been sitting in the building for 10 minutes and it would have been warmer to the touch than my food was. Sadly, I didn’t discover this till my food was back across the street to my office. I bit into my beef soft tacos(after I microwaved them) to discover not only were they NOT beef tacos but there were huge chunks of tomato in them. This kid is allergic to tomatoes so you can see how this is an issue. I could have forgiven one mess up on this order but two fairly substantial screw-ups gets them a 1-star review and the lack of my business forever. I wouldn’t recommend this location to anyone. Not a fan.

I got the crisp chicken habenero burrito was pretty good, it is more like a deep fried flauta. The mexi fries are just tatortots but they were good cause they were not super oily. I like that they are green and use local products.

This marks my very first Unilocal review. Like many long time«lurkers» or Unilocal users I often find myself post dining experience saying things along the lines of «wow that was such an outstanding experience I’m going to write my first Unilocal review, that’s how much I loved this place» or «gee whiz that server was so rude, I’m going to write a Unilocal thing» but inevitably my laziness sets in and I fail to post a review. However, today’s dining experience with Taco Time changed everything. It was that bad. The bad was so bad it has inspired my hungover self to write this review. First and foremost, Taco Time? don’t put the highest 19 year old kid anyone has ever met in front of the register. This young weed child wished me a happy Tuesday. It’s Sunday. Also, had to triple check my order because he couldn’t spell chicken and confused rice for«a side of spicy ranch» 7 times. Moving on. It took the«cooks» close to 30 minutes to prepare my order to go, with no explanation from the staff. In their defense«order 99» can often times because confused with«order 66». All in the all the food was horrendous, the service resembled the worst part of renewing your license at the DMV on a hot sweaty day with no AC. Not impressed. You should quit, but thanks for finally inspiring me to write a review.

I’ve been to this branch(Lake City Way) 3 times already — the first time being just 5 days after opening. I’m ecstatic about having a Taco Time so close to home! And I’m probably going there later today. This place has a small fountain out front, lots of parking, a drive-through, a double-sided television in the seating area, and one of those carbonated beverage dispensers that serves up way more flavors than you could ever want! Plus, there is a small park just next door. I esp. like the Southwest Chop Salad. I was happy to see that this was available with not only beef or chicken, but also beans. But unless you ask, you will get refried beans.(I understand that if you request it, you can get whole beans.) Yes, on my first visit(not long after they opened this branch), the Mexi-Fries were not as crunchy as I like, but since then, there has not been a problem. Just like the other reviewer who said that Taco Time is in-between a fast-food place and a sit-down restaurant, I feel the same about it. There is always a good amount of staff, orders are taken with a smile, and are brought to your table. The place(including the restroom) is very clean

A Taco Time just minutes from my apartment? Dangerous. But dang, how could you resist? As far as the food goes – it’s Taco Time. If you’ve had it, you know how good it is. I consider it somewhere in between fast food and a sitdown Mexican restaurant without the hipstery-ness of its cousin Chipotle. Easily better than the Taco Bell down the street, because – hello – tater tots. This is a really nice Taco TIme. They even have a television! Although it was showing some weird kid’s show, so I wasn’t paying it much attention – but still – nice touch. As usual, the staff is very friendly and will bring the food to your table. They were even walking by another table, noticed they were low on salsa, and brought them a new cup-full! Good stuff as usual, Taco Time.
