Sylvan Learning of Seattle

I am currently attending an online bachelors program and I chose to take my test at this testing center. Unfortunately three of the four times that I scheduled to take tests the person who is also the owner and supervisor of the facility either showed up 15 minutes late or an hour late. All those times, I had to actually call them to come in from home to get me to my test. This caused a lot of inconvenience and I believe it’s a very unprofessional and poorly run business.

We tried several tutors and a couple of agencies. At Sylvan my high school son was able to work with Nicole and finish his last class (Algebra) so he could graduate. He needed one on one attention and someone with who was supportive and encouraging. The center director was great with scheduling and accommodating our needs. I strongly recommend them!

My daughter has been attending Sylvan for about a month. She nneded some extra help witn her 2^nd grade math. She is already showing improvement in her overall understanding of math concepts and math facts. Her confidence is higher and she is excited and willing to try new things. The instructors and staff are very positive, friendly and encouraging. I think Sylvan will play a huge roll over the next few years, not just to catch her up now but to help her excel in school and go beyond standard expectations.

My daughter has been going to Sylvan in Northgate for three years. The staff there takes a personal approach to her learning needs and have helped her immensely. When she started, she had D’s and F’s in all of her classes. Now, she is an A and B student and has more confidence in general academically. They have helped with identifying and accommodating a learning disability as well. The individualized attention that she gets has been invaluable in helping her to proceed through middle school and high school. They have attended countless meetings with teachers, communicated with me and the teachers regularly, and gone out of their way to give my daughter the help that she needs. I can’t say enough good things about the data-​based approach that Sylvan takes to education. It aligns with state standards and it works! The money I have spent on tutoring through Sylvan is a sacrifice, sure, but I don’t regret a single penny. Don’t delay… go now!

We were at a loss when we signed up for tutoring with Sylvan. My daughter was struggling in math, now she is an A student in math and her confidence is back. We also did a writing section with them that helped as well. We are looking forward to a series of Test Prep classes this summer. They understand our needs and hand pick the programs we need. She is welcome to bring homework in that she needs help on as well. The tutors at this Sylvan make her feel comfortable and make me feel like we are making authentic progress.
