Sun Shine Cleaners

Hana and her husband are truly the best. Not only are they the best dry cleaners my family has found in the city in 20 years, but they are the nicest people. Extremely fair prices for top notch work. Hana works hard to make every garment look its best. There is a spot reserved for the customers convenience in the side lot, but if taken there is ample street parking. We love Sun Shine, and we love Hana!

A sweet couple, but poor service. I’ve used them for a while and often they do an adequate job, but too many times getting things wrong.
]They consistently try to schedule pick up for 4, 5 or a week later, when every other dry cleaner I’ve ever used offers to return clothing within a day or two;
Twice I’ve been told my laundry would be ready on a certain day (3 – 4 days after drop off), then been told when I stopped by the morning of the day they told me the order would be ready… that what they REALLY meant was the evening of that day… both times it took about 5 – 7 minutes while they rummaged around in the back of their shop looking for my order, apparently before discovering that it hadn’t been washed yet.
Once this occurred and they claimed that it had been washed… but not pressed, so that I had to wait approximately 10 minutes while they found my clothing and pressed it.
Another time same story — rummaging around in back for 5 minutes, a quick «It’ll be ready in a moment» and my order — in this case a single pair of slacks — was returned, appearing to be UNwashed and poorly pressed (wrinkles in the creases of both the crotch and crease of the knees were evident — showing that it had been unwashed).
Done. I’ll use a dry cleaner that actually has my order ready on the actual day they tell me it will be ready, that actually washes my laundry and that can actually return clothing within a few days when needed.

They are extremely friendly and the prices are reasonable. I would recommend it to anybody.

My first ever dry cleaning experience! & what did get to dry clean? My wedding dress, of course. I first got my super long veil & dress steamed for my wedding, which my friend took in for me. I didn’t have a steamer… plus I didn’t want to ruin my dress for the worst. I think total for both items were about $ 20 – 25.
I came here for the first time two weeks later after my wedding with my dress & my husband’s tux. I was afraid for the worst. (Had some gross spilled, then stained puke? right in the front of the dress…& yep, I waited so long to get it cleaned, I don’t know what I was thinking!). The owner gave me a estimated week to come back for pickup. Total for both items was about $ 90 including tax. (Tux about $ 15, dress can also depend on the complexity of it.) You also have the choice to have your dress be hanged or put into a cardboard box to preserve. The owner is a super cute, friendly lady & definitely will make sure your item (s) is well taken care of. The business itself is very much like any dry cleaners that you would see driving by. Small space filled with overflowing dry cleaned clothes.
I came back a week later and she apologetically said that I would have to come back another week, since the stain was still visible, and that they were going to have it be cleaned for another cycle. (I admired that, since it showed appreciation & customer satisfaction — I wouldn’t want to have them lie and tell me that the stain was permanent). Anyway, I came back a week later again, & all was good! They even pressed down the top of my dress which I had pinned down during the wedding, because of a off stitching error. (I wished I had caught that error earlier before my big day).
Definitely will come back to get my winter coats/​jackets cleaned & pants to alter!

This place is amazing. I took a cocktail dress that had been trashed after a recent wedding. It was white and had red wine spilled all over it. They prepared me that it would be a challenge to get out and likely wouldn’t return to its original state, but when I came back three days later, there was no evidence of wine stain anywhere! I paid $ 18.00. Not bad at all. Sun Shine Cleaners takes pride in their work, always greets with a smile, and offer excellent customer service. I recommend them wholeheartedly!

This is the only cleaners I go to now. They are super friendly, remember me by name, do great work and are very accommodating. If I am running late to pick up work shirts, they have even re-​opened so I can get my clothes for the next day. Now thats what I call customer service. They also do good alterations. Gave her some one of a kind hawaiian shirts to alter them down a full size, and they fit perfect.

I’m surprised this doesn’t have more reviews. I love Sun Shine because the service is always really friendly and they do a great job dry-​cleaning and repairing clothes. They cleaned a really dirty dry-​clean only vest I had from Paris and just recently they replaced a broken zipper on a pair of jeans and they work like new!

They are always so nice and remember my name every time I go in. They do a great job getting out tough stains and their prices don’t seem too high.

I can’t believe no one has written a review on this place. THEY ARE FREAKING WONDERFUL!!! I have never had a problem with any of the pressing, dry cleaning or hemming items they have done for me. AND they have always accommodated any rush jobs that I have needed to have.
This is really one of the jewels on 35^th Ave. My only question is why haven’t YOU gone there yet?
