We used STS for putting parts of our basement bedroom and bath back together after we had to tear everything out to put in a boundary drainage system. We also had to install waterproofing material behind the walls. We used them to do the initial demolition– tearing out drywall, carpet, trim, tile, vanity etc. And then to put it all back together again. We had a great experience with them. It took a while to set up an appointment to get someone in for a quote and that was the only downside. It also took some time for them to respond to emails, but even if they didn’t reply, they seem to have taken note of my concerns/questions and addressed them. This is probably because they are usually in the field and might not check emails that often. Once we had them in for a quote– they gave us a very reasonable price, sent us the contract and made sure to fit into the schedule for the drainage folks(Permadry), Abe Rivas and another very nice guy came in for the demolition. They took samples of the carpet, tile and paint before they started. Every piece of trim was labeled, so were the mirror, vanity, heater etc while they took them off. They did an excellent job salvaging whatever insulation could be reused. They were in and out in 4 hours and left the place really clean, put plastic covers over the carpet and other items to keep them safe. We didn’t have to empty all the basement rooms, they worked around the furniture in the areas which weren’t being worked on(family room). Abe worked with us to find a perfect carpet match after we turned down the first few samples and that was much appreciated. Once we had our drain put in, multiple crew members came in to put up the drywall, sand drywall, paint, tile, re install the appliances, put in carpet. I met most of them and each one was polite, easy to talk to, comfortable with answering questions and did a fantastic job. We were done in 8 days. They were on time and on budget. I was worried seeing the previous review, but we had a really good experience and meeting the crew and seeing the work they did, i feel comfortable recommending them to others. Note — we didn’t do any remodeling/redesign — we had them restore our basement to the way it was before the demolition for the drain.

They didn’t actually work on the building I live in but I do live next door to a building they have been working on for almost a year. This company wraps buildings very poorly and with filthy wrap material(ripped and trashy looking). The plastic wrap that is supposed to be heat shrunk to fit snug on the top of the scaffolding was loose and blew around all winter. Incredibly loud flapping noises all winter long — fun. All of their construction debris gets pushed to the bottom of their scaffolding and stays there until it gets blown into neighboring house and building property for others to clean up. Not to mention that they took up our street for close to a year now with their«office» trailer — essentially a glorified break room. Given we have limited parking in our neighborhood, it was certainly inconvenient, especially since they didn’t really need to take up that much space. Employees arrive an hour before they can start work at 8am and pace in front of our building smoking and talking on their phones. They wrap up work by 4pm but hang out longer smoking and essentially loitering about. If they spent that time working perhaps they would be done with this project and out of our neighborhood by now. Their banner claims they are a condominium division of STS Remodeling but this is basically a small company doing a junk job but trying to look like a big, professional outfit.
