I want to like this place more, I really do – they’re nice folks and they get cool pop art and are part of the Ballard Art Walk, which is one of my very favorite things – but this space is so tiny and angular that it is just about impossible to really view the art hanging on the walls, in particular large pieces. You need to be able to step back to really fully view a large canvas, and there is no way to do that in this narrow, split-level gallery. It’s like trying to view art in a hallway or a broom closet. Maybe they can somehow score a better space, because the current one is honestly a kiss of death for an art gallery.
