Never had any issues at this store like some of the previous reveiws. Just friendly service and tasty coffee. I reccommend the cold brew if you haven’t tried it, so smooth and refreshing.

I am a very frequent Starbucks customer and I felt very compelled to write this review based on my experience today. I usually go to the same Starbucks(Uvillage) every time I need to get some studying done(which is quite often), but today I decided to change it up a bit and try somewhere new to get a change of environment. I frequently drive past this Starbucks on my commute to and from home, and from the outside it looked really cute and quaint, so I decided to finally give it a try since its closer to home than Uvillage. At first I had trouble finding the parking lot, since the entrance is a small hidden driveway that is easy to miss located on a busy street. The tiny parking lot shares parking with Key bank and a pharmacy, so spots are quite limited and very narrow. I squeezed into a tiny stall, and debated aborting this location and just sticking with going to Uvillage where parking is not a problem at all in their new parking garage. But in the interest of time and the need to get some serious studying done, I just toughed it out and slithered my way out of my car as to avoid hitting the car next to me with my door. I walk in and I notice that the location is very small and the seating is scant. Luckily I didn’t need an outlet today so I didn’t have to worry about that issue. As I was trying to decide on a sandwich, I noticed that some of them had expiration dates of today, so I definitely avoided picking those. After sifting through the selection, I finally found one that had an expiration date of tomorrow. So I went with that. I was there at 12 noon and I was surprised at what little selections they had for food at that time. My usual drink tasted normal, and the barista who rang me up was just friendly enough. As I was getting ready to leave, I got a refill for my coffee and the barista who rang me up did not greet me, just grabbed the cup from my hand and placed it on the counter next to him along with all the other orders for the other barista to work on. It was very strange. I waited for my drink at the other end of the counter, and while waiting, I heard the most disturbing comments from who I believe was one of the managers of the store. She was a taller middle aged lady with shorter dirty blonde hair. She was speaking quite loudly and reprimanding a fellow barista about something that I’m not quite sure, but what I did hear was this: «wow. you really can’t do a job that requires ZERO education? It’s actually sad that you work here since you have a bachelors degree.» I couldn’t believe my ears. How could someone say something like that?! She wasn’t saying it as a joke either. She was dead serious. I was surprised she was saying this amongst a handful of customers waiting for their drinks. This was the cherry on top of my experience at this Starbucks. Because of this I will definitely not be returning to this particular location. It’s really a shame I didn’t catch this on video. You can’t make up stuff like this! Terrible!

I really like the workers at this location. It does have its drawbacks — the AC isn’t as effective if you’re adjacent to a window because almost ¾ of the walls are glass, and they just don’t insulate well enough. The seating is also very, very limited. I feel like a vulture trying to find a spot that’s cool enough and has an outlet nearby when I’m working there in the summer months, lol. This issue almost convinced me to not write a review, but… that’s also not really fair to the store, esp because they do make lovely drinks. :) I do love this store — esp their free refills for gold members — despite the tiny size of this particular store and the variable AC(and outlet availability) factor, depending on where you’re sitting. But I feel like a loyal customer now and am happy to be a regular. :) PS — try their new foldovers, they’re quite good! But, do NOT waste your precious $ 7(w/tax) on the new chicken artichoke panini… even the barista agreed with me on how inedible that one is…

I am not quite sure what is up with the rave reviews of this location. It’s been quite inconsistent with service standards each time I’ve visited. Sometimes fast and friendly… today extremely busy with the partners moving with no sense of urgency. No eye contact, no thank you, nothing. The barista at primary beverage production looked like she hated her life. Register barista was quite friendly!

I go to this particular Starbucks every morning. The staff is very friendly and efficient. Their coffee, tea, paninis are all delicious. I really like the coziness of this Starbucks. Plus, it’s right in my neighborhood.

This location always has very helpful and friendly staff working. You can be in and out within just a few minutes. There is a nice ambiance to the place. I love sitting next to the fireplace when it’s cold out and sitting in the outdoor area when it’s hot. Solid choice for good coffee.

This is my regular Starbucks and though they may all seem the same, this particular store is different. I love the people that work there. Always wonderful, fast, and generally on it.

There was apparently a change in the store’s manager and several newer and younger staff that started this past summer. The result so far hasn’t been great and the quality seems to have gone down hill(opening late several times this summer after years of only being late in opening if it snowed, drinks being messed up regularly if they are busy). The baristas who have been there a long time(Stephanie comes to mind) are still amazing and spot on with everything that they do. But the newbies just aren’t seeming to be stepping up to the standards the old-timers set.

This location is A-Ok. Clean, friendly service. I ordered the standby of a caramel machiatto in a for-here cup. Most Starbucks take 10 cents off, but not this place. It’s ok but a little slow. Nothing wrong with my drink, made the same as usual.

LOVINGTHISSTARBUCKS… Do you want great coffee with Great customer service? This is the spot! The location is ALWAYS clean, Marco and the others ALWAYS greet with a huge smile and know you by name. There is ONE taller guy with a stinky attitude but isn’t there always one??? lol They are more than happy to always accommodate to you and more than helpful. The seating is ALWAYS great! Stock is wonderful. There is an indoor/outdoor fireplace. There is also shaded seating outside for those wonderful sunny days. There is easy on street parking or easy accessible parking behind the building. THEONLYISSUE I HAVEISWITHTHEMALEEMPLOYEETHERE but NOONE is perfect and is any one business? This starbucks is by far the best in Seattle. I feel like whenever i am there I am at CHEERS(minus the alcohol and random drama lol)… «where everybody knows your name.» lol

Nice Starbucks, and near Top Pot! Guy forgot to share my friend’s order with the barista, barista quickly rectified(with an upsize!) and presented a free drink coupon. I don’t care what none of y’all say, I love the Bucks.

I had to change my review because this location has really stepped up. The baristas are very cordial and upbeat. Conversations with them are great and my drink is very good on top of that. They tend to be ever so slightly slow when it’s rush hour, but they do it with a smile. I’m glad they are just up the block from me and I’m happy to stop by when I can. Great job!

This is one of the few Starbucks’ that doesn’t use an automated machine, and I can tell the difference in taste(assuming good espresso is served). It’s a pretty small, neighborhood store, so it’s typically families and older folks from the Wedgwood area. Service is pretty good from everyone, but there are a few that I’ve never heard a «thank you» from. Lines usually move pretty quickly but parking can be difficult to find during peak hours.

It’s Starbucks! What can I say? This location did stand out a little for having pretty good customer service. And there is parking in the back, which is always good.

Always friendly and willing to be patient with complex orders. The staff at this Starbucks is what gets 5 stars. The coffee is meh.

I like the long table in the middle with the heavy high chairs. The fireplace is nice, too. The employees seemed older than the average Starbucks and coincidentally or not I think the customer service is also better than the average Starbucks. I will definitely come in again!

Starbucks is pretty mainstream, so I’ll try to be concise. The drip coffee at Starbucks is good(my favorite is the Pike Place Roast). I like the espresso better, though. It is more expensive than most other ‘local’ coffee joints for drip coffee, but the Wedgwood location is really convenient for me. I like that the food at Starbucks is always changing(except for when they took away the Piadinis – I thought those went so well with coffee). A new favorite is the Turkey Pesto Cranberry sandwich thingamajig and the Turkey Bacon Breakfast Sandwich. These will definitely make your morning coffee much more expensive, though. Coffee + Food at Starbucks in general gets 3 stars, but the friendly service at this location easily adds the fourth star for me.

After moving to the new neighborhood of Wedgwood… I was quite excited to see a few shops within walking distance of my new abode — this Starbucks being one of them. Normally I would stick to my civil duty and visit this store as I like, with little thought as to throwing a review up on Unilocal. But this store is different. Two words: Nuova Simonelli. This location is fortunate enough to be endowed with a semi-automatic espresso machine not that unlike the La Marzocco beast found at the original Pike Place Market store. A machine that — when under the hands of a compitent barista — produces a much higher quality shot than that of the the fully autmatic machines found at nearly every other Starbucks on the planet. Now with the different machine it does take a tiny bit longer to pull shots and complete beverages, so that must be taken into account if you are the I’m-late-to-my-yoga-class type of impatient being and require your java in less than one minute. Certainly not a machine that work best in a drive-thru location. I’ve had a pleasant time sitting by the fire, reading with a nice latte and absolutely love that it is less than a minute’s walk from my front door. Here’s hoping this machine catches on…

It seems like I’m constantly updating these coffee-shop reviews, doesn’t it? Anyways, I felt that a higher rating was in order for this place, not because I think anything different about Starbucks as a business/corporation, but because I’ve been coming here semi-regularly for almost 3 years now, and I’ve gotten to know the folks that work here. See, I’m a people person, and if I like you, you could probably serve me a cup of alligator-puke, and I’d choke it down with a smile… «What, seconds? No thanks, I’m full.» Not to say that they’re serving up vomit in here,(really, they’re not) but I wanted to justify the 2-star to 5-star rating jump. The baristas are great. They make this place my preferred Wedgwood coffee-shop.

One of my friends had some gift cards she had to use up, otherwise we totally would have gone to Top Pot or the Grateful Bread… but anyway, I’m not anti-Starbucks or anything radical like that, but jesus christ, they gave me the real«seattle» coffee experience the other day: me: Yeah I’d like… um…(trying to decide) a… barista: condescending blank stare me: [thinking] … a café mocha barista: a café mocha?(disgusted wrinkle face) me: yes barista: a café mocha?(intensified disgusted wrinkle face) me: A CAFEMOCHA barista: what… size… me: 12 oz. barista: whipped… cream… me: noooooooooo… barista: OKKKKKKKKKKK… They weren’t busy or anything, so I fail to see the stress that I was apparently causing this poor barista. Anyway, it was a weird experience and I won’t go back.
