Starbucks

it’s a great corner location. not much parking around it. it sits pretty much right in the center of Columbia City. it wasn’t too busy and we were the only ones in line. i got my annual peppermint mocha. this time with whip cream and they put little tiny shavings of chocolate on top. it was quite delicious. i got it later in the day, so i got decaf.
and for the first time ever i was able to ask what the default type of milk they use is. it’s 2%. the rest of the world already knew. i didn’t. and now i know. it doesn’t cost anything extra. but if you want a full bodied, creamy espresso and milk beverage, then you have to ask for it every single time.
after sales tax it’s about a four and a half dollar specialty beverage. which is crazy. and the reason why i only do it once a year.
malcolm gladwell said something about coffee drinkers that i fing to be funny: people supposedly love ‘bold’, ‘strong’, ‘rich’, ‘dark’ coffee. but when you look at what they buy, they drink weak milky coffee.
actions speak louder than words.

Came in for a latte. Not good. Since the coconut milk addition I’ve had some pretty good lattes from Starbucks around Seattle but this place wasn’t good.
They pulled the shot and just let it sit there. It was an iced latte. No ice. Just pull the shot and add milk. Since they let the shot sit it turned bitter. Gross
I thought about going back but the two people working seemed overwhelmed by the one person in line.
Don’t think I’ll be going here again any time soon

Really good! I loved the service and enjoyed being able to write while waiting for the mechanic to be done with my car. It was convenient to take a bus there, eat some breakfast and have a clean bathroom available. There was a car crash right in front of the store and the employees were very concerned and asked clients if everyone was okay. I say this so you can have an idea of how nice they are. I ordered three drinks (I had to wait a long time for the car) and all of them were well done and delicious,

Super rude it was 6:55 and they couldn’t Serve me coffee, I was having a low blood sugar and needed help before closing. All the girls In there had an attitude.

I’ve been getting exceptional service! Got teased at ALWAYS getting the chestnut praline latte by the baristas but I can’t help it, it’s my fav! I am now a regular and proud to be at Starbucks nearly everyday.

I live right up the hill from this Starbucks and I get my daily fix here whenever I need caffeine. In the morning and right before closing, the baristas are always nice and happy to see me. They’re actually so nice and down to earth I made a friend who worked here, got to know him and I was happy that I did! I love that it’s always clean, welcoming, and everything is there and made just the way I want it. One time I ordered an iced espresso and they gave me a hot one and they fixed it right away. Another time my sister got a frappucinno that she didn’t like and they were happy to remake it. I know it’s all Starbuck’s policy but they didn’t complain or look upset like other places I’ve been to!

This place is amazing! The location is awesome, the place is so clean, and the baristas are all wonderful! I feel like I’m at home when I come in!
I came in one day with a friend to do a end of the year project. I stayed till nearly closing time and didn’t even notice! Not once was I asked to leave.
They always make my Mocha Frap just the way I like it and always have all of my favorite foods. =^.^= this starbucks literally makes my life so much easier!

I asked for 4 shots of coffee with 3 pumps of white chocolate but they gave me an ice coffee instead. I paid $ 5 for that ice coffee. Didn’t know 4 shots of coffee would be that hard to make.

Love the feta egg white wrap. But it was served too me partially frozen. Otherwise, it’s Starbucks, who doesn’t like them? Upscale coffee house.

I cannot rave enough about my neighborhood Starbucks. They know their regular patrons, and are welcoming to everyone else.
The gang that works here is very engaged in the community, and I often see them modeling the type of behavior that SBUX HQ would be proud of.
It may take a minute or two in line to place your order, but rest assured, it is because they are giving each customer a bit of personalized attention during their time at the counter.
This place is awesome!

I was staying in Columbia City for a couple of weeks. I was in this store everyday at different hours and was quite pleased with the service. The staff is very friendly and remembered my order after only a few days. The store policy is free drip refills for card members. I could leave the store and return hours later and they would still honor this without receipt or cup — unlike many stores.
I never had a problem finding a power outlet — though it might take a little patience during high volume times, but that’s why my laptop has a battery!
Folks complaining about time waiting need to realize there’s people in front of them with ridiculously complicated orders — «half-​caf, not too hot, extra shot, ounce of blood, and wave a stick over it.» people. That’s the nature of the coffee beast.
I did have a problem with all the Sinatra being played, but headphones remedied that.

My favorite Starbucks to go to when I need to get some work done. The baristas are super nice!

This Starbucks was one of my very favorites when I lived up the street from it on Beacon Hill a couple of years ago. I could always count on their friendly service, clean, cheeful environment, and most important when on my way to work, getting in and out really quickly.
Well, that seems to have changed. The service is still really friendly, but it takes FOREVER to get in and out now, even during non-​rush-​hour times. Both times that I have stopped in recently, I waited in line for at least fifteen minutes to order my drink. Clearly, they need to step up the number of staff that is on duty at any given time!
Other than that, it’s still a great place to hang out and drink coffee in while visiting the Columbia City neighborhood.

I’ve done the ‘sweat’ tour of Columbia City: head to the gym, work my ass off, head up the street to Jus for some fresh squeezed goodness, and then back down the street to Starbucks or Empire, depending on how many squats I just did and how much more I can walk. (On occasion I’ve skipped the juice and coffee and just hit Geraldine’s or one of the other restaurants for some grub, but… that wouldn’t include this Starbucks, then, would it?)
One of the nice things about Starbucks is that, except for their newer remodels that serve alchohol (like the cap hill Olive/​Summit Starbucks), you pretty much know what you’re going to get. In fact, if you’re on the go a lot and just want a little bit of consistency, that’s a real bonus to a Starbucks.
I find the staff here are always friendly and quick. I grab a yogurt parfait thingy on my way to the rail, or a coffee and chocolate covered grahams after a work out (I can’t explain the cravings, you know?).
And, partially thanks to this Starbucks, Columbia City has seen a magnificent transformation. Starbucks was one of the early businesses to put a store in and help revitalize the area. Always worth a bunch of stars for that.

My neighborhood Starbucks! Oh how I’ve missed the smell of strong brewed coffee and the friendly faces that greet me here. The baristas are proud to make your coffee to perfection and set the bar high. If only I could bring the Seattle baristas with me to Texas

argh I hate doing this… we live around 4 different coffee shops but my heart says Starbucks — so we always go here. So slow. I mean nobody would be in line and without fail it on average takes 4 – 5 minutes for an Americano… why?
Least personable Starbucks I have ever been to. But I will keep coming back… cause Starbucks has my heart. *sigh*

I usually don’t review Starbucks. Why? Because I probably average about 3 – 4 Starbucks visits a week and it’s such a natural part of my routine that it doesn’t cross my mind. But I had to review this one.
I’ve been a regular customer at Starbucks since probably 2002. It started out with the white chocolate mocha fraps and has evolved to my vanilla nonfat extra hot latte. Lately I’ve becoming increasingly more disappointed at the lack of customer service I receive. For how eager it wants to create a Third Place Experience most all locations I go to do a really crappy job (especially in Bellevue). But not here. This Starbucks location, to me, is the epitome of what all Starbucks should be like: Friendly baristas, clean lobby space and each drink crafted to perfection. Happy chatter between baristas and patrons. Walking away knowing that you’ve made a connection with another human being.
Only suggestion: more parking spaces please.

Just another Sbux. Just another Sbux chai. Just another chonga bagel and banana walnut bread slice… those sinking cozy chairs never fail, though. I did get a kick out of this perhaps regular that finally found «my first table that doesn’t rock! Hey _​_​_​_​check this out! — -» He was all smiles; dude flipped the table up while resting the top on a chair and probably fixed it himself.

my favorite Starbucks ever! I frequent this spot a lot too. The staff here is fast and efficient. They are super friendly.

I remember the excitement of this location opening, almost 10 years ago now… and the start of gentrification of this area…
My Starbucks order is simple: Venti Iced Drip Coffee w/​splash of non-​fat.
No syrup.
No whole milk.
Simple!
Today, I ended up with a Venti Iced Drip with about 4 inches of whole milk.
No bueno.
