First things first: the only reason I am giving four stars rather than five is due to the seating. There are tons of chairs, but the place is always so busy that it can be difficult to sit down. After having been here way more than my bank account can probably handle, it’s become one of my favorite places to get work done. The line is quick, staff are friendly but efficient, and I can sit inside or out depending on my hearts desires. A few check-ins ago I was ordering during a rush of customers and ended up getting my drink slightly slower than usual. The batista made sure it was still hot and gave me a coupon for a free drink on my next visit. I was impressed. I expected the drink to be great, of course, but the service was greater than the drink. I’ve had nothing but great experiences at this location, and best part is… there’s 3 more starbucks in U Village in case you don’t enjoy this one!

Its nice here! But there’s just nowhere to sit and the hours are so short. I suggest that if you’re going to Uvilliage this might be a good place to pick up some coffee but if you want to study for a bit. Try the big one :)

A good Starbucks. Y’all pretty much know what to expect. When I was schlepping my daughter to and from work in U-Village during the time period employees can’t park in the garage(2 weeks before Christmas until 1 week after) she and I would stop in here before her early shifts(like 5:30 am). I usually looked like a transient but everyone was nice and they got our coffees and sandwiches ready promptly. This is the better of the Starbucks in U-Vill in my opinion. They are fast!

Great central place to meet up with folks in the University District. Whenever I get to meet up with my mentees from the university, we often meet over here(or at Blue C Sushi). There’s another Starbucks that just opened up by the future Din Tai Fung that’s worth checking out — especially because it has a completely new earthy thoughtful feel to it. I like Starbucks — the company, the products, the service. Can’t complain, ever.

This is my favorite Starbucks ever. Amazing, quick, friendly service. Go here over the big one in UV!

I’m excited about these new reusable cups that they have at Starbucks stores now. What a cool idea! I come to this location every time that I’m in U-Village…I much prefer the bigger store with the Clover machine but this store is nice because it’s a little less hectic than the other location and much quicker to get coffee. While it was a bummer that the oven in this store was broken when I came in, I was impressed by how quickly the employees here were able to move people in and out while still being personable. They look like they don’t have much to move on their end behind the bar which made it even more impressive. There aren’t a ton of places to sit but it looks like during the summer, they have a bunch of tables that they set up outside. All in all, consistent, quick, and friendly service.

One of the busiest Starbucks’ around. My go to spot for late night studying and coffee. Customer service and atmosphere are always top notch. The reason for the ding? Too small and usually packed, and albeit the drinks are always great… they’re not made the same every single time. What can you expect though? Will always be a customer!

This is one BUSY store… but they get through the lines pretty quickly. The cashier was able to make small talk… and did a great job. But I do believe he may have had like 12 shots of espresso. LOL He was pretty buzzed with the speed of his speech. :)

I wanted just a plain decaf drip coffee and was told that they didn’t have any. If I wanted a decaf coffee I was told I would have to get an(more expensive) americano. Instead of being like every other Starbucks that would make a pour over, they said to just deal. Bad service.

These guys handled heavy traffic wonderfully! They got orders correct and worked like a well oiled machine, this might be the biggest Starbucks I’ve ever been in! Lots of seats. Really considering how many people were in there, we got moved along and received our drinks pretty darn fast!

Chill Time with the Sister-in-the-Law SITREP This is only a few blocks away from where my brother and his wife live in the U.District. My brother and I prefer the other location in the U. District, but this is where Sarah, my brother’s wife, likes to hang out and so this is where we will go so she can enjoy our shared chill time. [And THESETUP I think — to be perfectly blunt & honest — there is a younger, very attractive crowd of students at the OTHER Starbucks U. District location, whereas here it is quieter and more of a professional vibe — as much as one can be acquired in anywhere in the U.District. THEMENU What can go wrong here? The coffee menu items are standard and enjoyable. THELOWDOWN An excellent location and fun vibe for a Starbucks and in my hometown hood.

Not nearly as busy as the Flagship store near the center of the village. The staff here knows me and my drink of choice, and I love that!

This location is way too small and crowded. With other coffee competition in the same block, they still get really busy. If you want a place to sit, there is the Barnes and Noble’s in U Village that you can actually sit and enjoy your beverage. Verdict: OK for«to go» coffee, not so good for a «sit down» as it is loud and busy.

Do people even know that this Starbucks exists? There are 2 Starbuck locations in the U-Village. I am not counting the ones located inside QFC and Barnes & Noble. If you count those, that is 4 locations within the same shopping center offering Starbucks which sounds pretty ridiculous. Even more insane is that there are more places at U-Village to get caffeinated. Jamba Juice sells coffee drinks for goodness sakes! Getting to the point, if you are looking for some peace and quiet place to unwind or looking to get your java more quickly, I would suggest trying this location. This Starbucks is located next to Crate & Barrel. Most people tend to frequent the one near Barnes & Noble which always seems quite busy. While this location is smaller, the lines are better. You may not even have to wait! There is considerably less seating here and the location is not great. Not bad if can get a seat here, but the ambiance is a little lacking if you want to study or use wi-fi for a while. However, if you want your drink fast and ready to go, I would suggest going here instead. That is unless your drink selection is fussy and complicated. In that case, the other Starbucks would be the more ideal choice.

I don’t really care for Starbucks. The whole notion of the ‘corporate coffee shop’ is an oxymoron to me. They all have the same feel, same taste and same people working in every Starbucks around the country– and that’s not a good thing. Maybe there are some people in the world who vacation to Paris only to eat at Applebee’s, but I’m not one of them… and I think they should be put to death. All this said though, I do like the Pike’s Place Roast from Starbucks. What’s really great about it is that the Pike’s Place Roast has the date and signature of the employee who scooped your bag. I’m picky, so I don’t let just any ol’ Joe scoop my fucking bag of Starbucks coffee! I only get the bags scooped by Jermaine, cuz he knows how to scoop a bag of coffee! He doesn’t just mindlessly dip his scooper in from the large bag of coffee and pour it into the small bag of coffee, NO! He takes the greatest of pains to make sure that each bean in his scoop is the best fucking bean he’s every seen! Carefully pouring it into the smaller individual bags so as not to disturb the bean too much and thus disrupting its delicate flavor! Seriously folks! This shit is too much! Who cares who poured the goddamn bag of coffee! I wanna know who picked the goddamn bean! I mean, that’s what matters, right? Any ol’ jackass can scoop a bag from one sack to the next– a machine can do it for all I care! But, what I wanna know is who the expert was that picked the bean! Does he know the difference between a good bean and a bad one? I mean, that’s why I only get Granny Smith Apples! Cuz Granny Smith is out there with her walker every morning picking only the finest fucking apples you’ve ever tasted! She doesn’t just shake the tree; she pulls each apple down with care and grades them on a 30 point scale– boom! So thanks Starbucks, for creating another false sense of importance over something that most certainly has no fucking significance whatsoever! The Pike Place Roast is still good though.

Is it no longer cool to study at the library or the residence hall? Good luck finding a seat here as it seems to be the place UW students come to spread out. Books, computers and paper galore, there’s not actually much studying going on with the constant chatter and commotion. That aside, this is your typical Starbucks. The staff is friendly, the menu the same. The bonus is that this location stays open ’til 2 p.m.

you will always find me here at the U-Village. on my laptop, sipping on a Green Tea Lemonade or Chai… hanging w/friends or in a business meeting. i love it here. as chaotic, loud, and busy it gets. i’m always sitting outside or near the entrance…
