First things first: the food here is top. Outstanding misir wot, probably my favorite version that I’ve had. Fragrant, mildly spicy, and with a real dreamy light texture. The injera is good too, but I certainly won’t be dreaming about it like that misir wot. The restaurant is attached to a small grocery of the same name(where the restrooms are) and when I dined, the one guy running the front of the restaurant was also running the store, and yet the service was still caring and attentive. And even better, after I dropped my credit card they picked it up and had it ready for me when I came back for it. The hand washing stall in the dining room is pretty neat too. Great place. Definitely worth a stop if you’re in Hillman City, and worth a trip if you dream of really *great* lentils.

It takes a LOT to get 5 stars out of me, we’re talking fine dining. This is not far behind. People and ambiance are nice, mellow, casual, comfortable. Food was spicy, so glad, sick of bland excuses for ethnic cuisines. I strongly recommend this Shegar’s for those who like Ethiopian foods, for those who don’t, please refrain from reviewing.

I feel pretty lucky to have this place a few blocks from our house. Although I’ve not yet tried any of the meat dishes, the veggie combo is simply delicious & Sheger is quickly becoming my go-to for takeout Ethiopian in Hillman City!

This place is amazing! The food is incredible. The people are super nice and helpful. The ambiance is really hang-out-able. So I guess these guys had the place called«Awash» prior. I know nothing about that place so I won’t entertain you with lies. However, apparently Awash was popular and good. Per the internet. So there. They have a full bar but they don’t know how to make drinks, so you can have fun teaching them how to do that. Much awesomer than your regular bar! Anyways I have a pic so will upload shortly. Peace my fellow Unilocalians!
