What a treasure for the neighborhood. I sent my kindergarten daughters into the store with some dollars(while I waited outside with the dog). They came out with some snacks for themselves and the dog(unfortunately they did not bring a snack for me)! They told me how helpful the staff was in helming them select and pay for items. I then left them outside with the dog while I went inside and got a wonderful espresso. Coming back often!

Cute coffee shop in a little market just off Ravenna Blvd. Recently came in on a sunny day and the windows were wide open. Nice place to sit and look out on the neighborehood or grab your coffee to-go and take a stroll through Ravenna park. The apple fritters are delicious!

They were very nice about me using their bathroom when the one at nearby Ravenna park was closed. They were so nice, actually, that I decided to buy something — a mint tea & a yummy cookie. They had 2 different kinds of mint tea & when I opted for the caffeine free version, they warned me that it had an anise flavor to it. The warning was much appreciated! I’d come here again, even if I don’t hafto use the bathroom!

Cool, fun and quirky little business in the Ravenna neighborhood! I love it! SevenCoffee Roasters as their namesake suggests has lots of coffee. You can order various coffee drinks on site if you so choose or you can get their coffee in a bag and take it home to brew there. BTW the coffee is excellent from the bag! They have pastries also available which is a going to be fatal weakness for me. In this case it is worth it. I got their version of a fancy pop-tart which was amazing! I got the grape option out of what looked like three other options which I hope to explore at a later time. The pop-tart had a wonderful, flaky crust which should have been what we know as pop-tarts to actually be! Seven Coffee Roasters is also a small grocery store which carries various basic needs household things with more of an organic flare to it as well as beer six packs and so on. This place is awesome! I look forwards to coming back and getting another one of those pop-tarts and getting a coffee drink there and just relaxing at one of their tables!

Barista was crazy nice and the hazelnut latte was the best I had! From the outside looking in I was afraid there would be no tables to sit and work at, but there were plenty.

Coffee is great! You can even take it home and make it yourself, with fresh beans bursting with personality. Truly a ‘local’ gem. If you like burnt Starbucks, then don’t bother, coffee is a matter of preference. Haven’t tried the pastries, but in Europe you don’t get your coffee where you get your pop tart…

As it’s now been several months of drinking coffee here regularly, I am upgrading the review to 5 stars. The small coffee is now 10 oz(2 oz bigger than most other places!). It’s only a buck! And some of their coffees(like their Ethiopian) are some of the best I have had anywhere. It’s very fruity and earthy and the same time, yet still nice and smooth. Great neighborhood coffee shop!

This. Place. Is. AWESOME! great coffee(and there’s a $ 1 working class priced cup), wonderful atmosphere, friendly staff, and kind clientele. The only reason I can think of that anyone would rate this spot low, would be to keep it the hidden gem that it is. If you go here once, you will come back a lot.

Pastries are consistently bad and the coffee is not as good as what you can get at Starbucks. It’s a great location with friendly service, but do not expect to enjoy what you order. This morning I could not finish the donut or coffee. It’s that(1 star) bad.

About a month ago I move to this part of Seattle, being Seattle born and raised I need good coffee… not the burnt crap that Starbucks calls coffee. I also needed a place that I could walk to and that wouldn’t be extremely crowded! I love when the batista talks to you, takes their time making your coffee perfect, and actually hands it to you. This place has everything I was looking for! Their batistas are very nice, talkative, and great and making a good cup of coffee! Along side all those great qualities this place also happened to be straight up adorable! It had the small coffee shop feel, with places to sit inside and out, it is perfect for reading a good book or working on your computer(freewifi)! They also are a small market, although small, filled with a HUGE variety of items! Gluten free, vegan, and dairy substitutes fill the shelves. In Redmond there is an amazing gluten free and vegan bakery, the Flying Apron… it is next to impossible to find any of their good in seattle, but Seven has them!

This little nugget of deliciousness is tucked away on a gorgeous tree-lined boulevard. They serve the city’s most delicious(and elusive) coffee, and there’s always a bagel breakfast sandwich or a homemade pop tart to eat along with it. Good stuff all around!

Fantastic neighborhood café. All the baristas are super friendly, the drip coffee is amazing AND inexpensive(2 bucks for a 16 oz.), and they have half off food after 5:00PM. Check it out.

While I’m not a fan of coffee, so my opinion wouldn’t be trusted there, I have had their food, iced/hot chai, and milkshakes. The buns they use for breakfast sandwiches are so delicious. It’s not a full kitchen so don’t expect full kitchen meals, but the food I get there is way more than satisfactory. Their milkshakes are made with Sammamish or Full Tilt ice cream and are a great way to start a Summer morning! I also enjoy that they have a really delicious mushroom gravy that goes really well with their biscuit selections.

This is my favorite espresso in the U-district. And it has such a fun, almost«small town» feel to it! It can get busy, but the line is worth the wait if you care about good coffee!

Drip coffee was very flavorful and the iced chai some of the best I’ve had. Prices were reasonable, especially for the quality of product. No corners seemed to be skipped. Great atmosphere for studying or just a slow day in a great neighborhood. Baristas were super friendly and coffee savvy. I can’t wait to go back and try some food!

I’ve been to Seven twice now in as many days and the coffee is great. Service lovely. But as a grocery store everything is very pricey. $ 9 average price for pasta sauce? Yowzer. I recommend stopping in for the coffee, admiring the murals and that’s it.

I just spent $ 8 on 2 very old little chocolate bars and a stale biscuit. Needless to say, I am unimpressed. I had a hankering for some chocolate… these are so old that they have turned white and crumbly. The biscuit is passable but also unimpressive. Kinda hard and chewy. Biscuits are supposed to be light and flaky. And milk chocolate is supposed to be brown.

Really wonderful spot for coffee and a quick bite(sandwiches, pastries, salads). They are a coffee roaster and small market with indoor and outdoor seating. Local art is showcased on the walls and they serve beer and wine and have weekly tastings. Really close to Ravenna Park and the 30 bus route.

Even though I spend a lot of time in the U District, this place has somehow flown under my radar for the two years it’s been open. There’s been a neighborhood market here since 1922 — Boulevard Grocery — but I did not know that it had been taken over by the owner of Ballard’s Seven Coffee, and turned into an actual coffee shop. The groceries are still here — a small selection of pantry essentials, milk, bread, and a few locally made sandwiches and biscuits and such. Some wine and beer. One or two stray pieces of fruit. But they’ve squeezed in a few tables and a full espresso bar, along with a bunch of pastries and such to go with your coffee. My shot of espresso was pretty nice. Medium volume, a little on the acidic side, but quite sweet. Unusually, it came to less than two bucks, including tax; it’s not unusual to pay closer to $ 3 for a double espresso these days. They also had some alcoholic options — a couple of craft beers on tap(and cold brewed coffee!), and a sign advertising a wine tasting that evening.(Being a grocery as well as a café, it stays open a couple of hours later than many coffee shops.) This area has a lot of good coffee places(Herkimer, Cowen Park, Sound, Zoka), but I think Seven deserves a spot in the rotation. Particularly as the weather gets warmer, I’ll have to come back to try that cold brew.
