I have a soft spot in my heart for the Wallingford center (maybe I just like window-​shopping inside and out of the rain), and I especially like this bookstore, which is cozy and has an interesting selection. Their prices rarely dip below retail, so Second Place is more appropriate for browsing than bargain hunting.

I don’t know what the deal is with this shop. How do they stay in business? Like other places in the Wallingford Center, I find it odd. New? Old? Used? What’s the deal. Neither gal (can you believe two were working in there?) knew how to quickly find the book I was looking for. Didn’t have it and it’s going to take 2 weeks to get it? How can they be in business? Anyways, check for yourself but I’m stumped.

This little book shop is indeed little, but it has this wonderful table of new books outside that will have you satisfied before you even enter. They also have a small but diverse selection of magazines. It is located within the Wallingford center (which most people don’t even know exists) so there are lots of shops to wander through afterwards.
