Very Clean with New Front Loading Washers & Dryers!
I have been to this laundromat on various infrequent occasions, when I needed to use an extra large capacity washer or when my personal laundry equipment is waiting for the repairman. It was always fine-​no complaints, but nothing that I would have rated with five stars. I was so surprised when I went there last evening to wash a King size fiberfill comforter! Things had really changed for the better. The place was very clean, neat and even fairly recently painted. All of the machines are new. The dryers are «Electrolux» brand and the large capacity washers are «Washomats». The single load capacity machines, also front loaders, were a European sounding brand name that I was not familiar with, but they’re very nice. All of the machines display clearly on a screen, everything you’d want to know like cost, cycle & temperature, time remaining etc, making them very easy to use. In the entire place I only saw one machine that had an «out of order» sign on it. There was a newer two slot change machine that took 1, 5, 10 or 20 dollar bills and gave you quarters. There were also nice vending machines for soda pop, snacks, detergents and even laundry bags and they all worked too. The people that run this place have certainly upgraded it and made it a much more pleasant experience if you have to use a laundromat. It is a little hidden behind a 76 gas station, near where Des Moines Memorial Drive & Ambaum Blvd cross, a few blocks east of First Ave S.
