Salty’s averages between $ 31-$ 70 bucks a plate. Let’s be real, this place is spendy. Unlike other spendy places, this place is a higher end dining facility without the dress code. That is right, you can wear t-shirs and shorts! Salty’s is a local chain and this particular location doesn’t really feel like a beach. It feels more like a harbor. If you want to go to more of a beach feel, go to the location at South Seattle. Although it isn’t a beach type feel, you get an amazing view of the city. On a bright clear day, this view is PRICELESS. So yes, you are paying a little for the view, but the food here tastes like a $ 48 meal. It’s the Pacific NorthWest so you need to take advantage of the seafood here. The Salmon will flake off and just make you fall in love. I felt like I got every penny’s worth of my meal… even if it was a $ 48 salmon.

The brunch is expensive($ 57 per person after tax) The different type of crab legs were heaven. There are so many different dishes it’s hard to try everything before you get full.

The brunch here is by far… the best brunch buffet I’ve ever had! Every dish is freakin’ incredible. You honestly feel like you died and went to heaven. It’s pretty pricey so save up, and don’t forget to plan on working out the next day. You’ll feel like you gained 5 pounds… which you probably will have… Tip: Make the first reservation. If you get there first, you can be sure they don’t run out of crab and the crème brûlée is still intact:) Plus it gives you longer to stay there and eat as many plates as you can!

Delicious Live dungenous crab which goes at market price value(we paid $ 70) It is a pricier restaurant than some of the other restaurants nearby but i guess you are paying $ 15 extra for the view too. King salmon was also deliciious. Slightly overpriced, but more in line with other restaurants(ie. Seastar). Waitresses were extremely friendly and came around just enough. We moved from outside to inside and they were super nice about it. Great service. 5 stars. View is beautiful.

It’s pretty interesting there seems to be a touch of haterade in some reviews(from what could be Seattleites?) about this place. Not to tell them their business, but from a visitor, the view alone is probably worth +2. That’s a tribute to the extraordinary beauty of the city. Salty’s could serve you a plastic bucket of garbage and you’d still enjoy the experience. But the food is good — specializing in Seattle’s specialty, another no brainer to push up the score. To me, this is a place to take us outsiders and a good time will be had by all. The wait staff was full of pretty Seattle girls too, which is nice.

Chilly day at Salty’s but the view is stunning. Food is very good… Our group enjoyed: Fish and chips Truffle fries Hana sushi roll Grilled fish tacos Taylor shellfish Manila clams Clam chowder Smoked scallops Grilled octopus Calamari Everything I tasted was very good. I enjoyed the fish taco most. I did not have any of the fish&chips, chowder or calamari. One of our party sent back to the calamari as she found it to be too greasy; it looked like good battering to me, but I do agree, I could see the oil glistening. I would love to go another time when the weather is warmer or I am bundled up more.

2.5 stars. We’ve been here a couple times now and each time the service is a bit different. The food remains consistently mediocre. Salty’s main thing is the brunch/lunch buffet. It’s definitely quantity over quality. It’s not bad — some stuff is quite decent. But majority of the stuff is just OK. The value for me is in getting the prime rib or crab — I loaded up on those. A full star is for the amazing views. Right on Alki. Unbeatable if you can get a table near the windows. One more star for the drinks. I had the peach ginger martini and really enjoyed it. Refreshing, flavorful, generous amount of alcohol. Half a star for the waiting area/lobby snacks(those scones OMG!) and the little coffee/water bar. It’s a nice touch… But you know what this means! You guessed it, very long waits. Even if you have a reservation! I think the lobby snacks and drinks are definitely to appease these long, sometimes frustrating, wait times. I’ll focus on our most recent trip here — it’s the most salient to me. Our reservation, which was made 1 month in advance, was for 1pm. We arrived early around 12:45ish. Unfortunately, we were seated at 1:45pm!!! YES — 45 minutes AFTER our reservation time. I had called earlier in the week to confirm our reservation too! It was ridiculous. They never checked-in with us either, it was the other way around — we had to go up to the hostess stand a couple times to check-in again. This was very annoying. They obviously knew we were there and we firmly but politely expressed our frustration. We were told the reason for the delay was because the people who were sitting at our table were not leaving. Is it not customary for a long-standing restaurant to plan ahead and block off a table about 30 minutes in-between reservations? I hiiiighly doubt the people before us were walk-ins. Brunch/lunch on a sunny Saturday? I don’t think so. Or, can’t we block off another table and sit there? Our group size wasn’t that big(6 people). I understand you can’t really push people out but everything just came off as poor planning and management to me. Super disappointing. Anyway, despite these frustrations, because it was a special occasion, we didn’t give up. We just waited and waited and tried to make the most of it. FINALLY once we were seated, it was near this big group of very loud people. I can still hear the reverb ringing in my ears! Haha. Thankfully, they left shortly after we were seated. But beware, this is a family-friendly place so it will often get loud and feel very crowded. Our server was great. She tried her best to make up for our ridiculous delay. She gave us a small discount on our bill, was attentive, and prompt. She was super bubbly, talkative, jokey, and out-going…I imagine this could feel overwhelming for some. But I didn’t mind. At least she was trying. I do not plan on coming back here.

Was ein Ausblick, wirklich phänomenal. Ein wunderschöner Abend, kulinarisch grosse Klasse — da einfach und kein Chichi — vor sagenhafter Kulisse. Das Leben kann so schön sein.

Salty’s on Alki has one of the best views in Seattle! Absolutely gorgeous view of the downtown skyline at sunset! They have delicious seafood and a a nice wine list. We had the Dungeness Crab — so amazing, which came with mushroom risotto and cheese! We also had the special of the day, halibut with cous cous with a tasty homemade salsa on top. The view, the company, the food, the wine, and the great waitress made it a great night!

Great view, great service, and the majority of the food was good. The price was a little higher than I’d like to see for what we had but the overall experience was pretty good even if our waitress did forget a few items. She made up for it with a free desert without us prompting and it was delicious! I highly recommend the warm seafood salad, it was spectacular!

A brunch spot that requires a map to fully explain and navigate Prepare to deviate from your normal brunch routine. Salty’s is a quintessential Seattle style brunch with a view of the skyline. The immense quantity of food and views makes this place one of the most popular Sunday brunch spots around town. I highly recommend calling in for reservations as this is an absolute hotspot. Upon arrival we were provided a plate of various house made donuts, a menu of specialty cocktails, and a map explaining the types of foods available in each section. Yes, you read that right… A map. I quickly reviewed the food items and ventured out to explore the buffet. The amount of options and presentation was simply overwhelming. Eggs Benedict, hash browns, various types of cakes, muffins, chocolate fountain with an assortment of fruits and pound cakes, omelet bar, and many more. There were more items by the corner window. Raw oysters on a half shell were displayed on a make shift ice shelf. Large quantities of cocktail shrimps, snow crab legs, quartered Dungeness crabs, and even prime rib. There was even a waffle bar. The offerings seems endless. As I made my way back to my table I noticed a «Make Your Own Bloody Mary» Bar with numerous options for condiments. The service was fantastic and our server Samantha was on point. Water glasses filled and dirty plates were cleared before we even returned. The saying goes,“you get what you paid for.” Though the price maybe slightly higher than what many are used to, the offerings are quite extensive and is a great value.

I’ve been going to Salty’s for quite a while now. It was one of our favorite local hangouts and we’ve been there many times, so we’ve given the owner a lot of money over the years. Well he’s not getting another dime from me, and here’s why… My family planned a lunch to celebrate a birthday. I got out of my car and was immediately confronted by a rude and disrespectful man harassing me and asking me if I «belonged» there. I assumed this blatant harassment was because I have tattoo sleeves. He did not introduce himself at that point. It was not a misunderstanding. It was harassment. I asked him what business it was of his at which point he said he owned the property. He asked if I was eating at the restaurant then accused me of parking in his parking lot to go wander around the beach. He was angry that his parking lot is often«abused by tourists and locals alike». There were only about 10 cars in the parking lot, so I doubt the parking lot had much to do with our interaction. It seemed more about whether I «belonged». I asked him to follow me into the restaurant so I could prove I was eating there, which he did. Really? This person is shameless, crude, and not a deserving business owner. He did not apologize for his bad manners when inside the restaurant, with my family(as we essentially put money into his pocket). For that reason, I won’t be going back.

Seattle restaurant week had a long list of different restaurants including some I had been wanting to try for a long time. There is only so many places you can go within two weeks and we were torn between different choices. But can you find a place with a better view of Seattle’s skyline than Alki beach? and Salty’s sits in the heart of Alki beach like a gem waiting to be explored. I assumed such a good location is worth trying. As soon as I walked in, I was immediately underwhelmed and disappointed by the inside décor. The interior looks like a movie from the 70’s; Most of the furniture were worn down. The place was too dark and the color combination of the carpet and the chairs were not impressive at all. we were seated by the window with the most amazing view of the city. It is amazing how beautiful Seattle looks at night and we spent a few minutes in admiration of our lovely Seattle. Our server arrived shortly to explain the restaurant week menu and he told us the portions were smaller but definitely worth trying. I ordered the corn chowder as the appetizer, the cod as the main and the chocolate mousse cake for dessert. The appetizer was definitely the most appetizing part of the whole experience. The portions small, but the taste was really good. Not too much overpowering or buttery, I really liked the taste. The main dish unfortunately fell really short of my expectations. The cods was soaked in butter and the amazing fresh cod was ruined by the way it was cooked. The dish was in fact so greasy that I could not finish one third of it. The dessert has to be my least favorite. A chocolate mousse cake which was nothing more than a pound cake with a white chocolate frosting. Could have been a cake bought from a grocery store and plated with some frosting(which was supposed to be the mousse, I assume) on top. Overall, I was not impressed by Salty’s at all. The food was unappetizing, the service was below average and the venue was outdated. I took a look at the normal menu and I feel like this place is overpriced. Although I wish I had tried some other restaurants on the restaurant week, I am glad I did not pay more for a dish I did not like at all.

The hotel that we were staying at in Seattle, recommended Salty’s for Easter Brunch. I did some research, and it had some decent reviews. Pricey at $ 70, but not crazy for Easter Sunday. The selection was very good. Large selection of breakfast food and a lot of stuff with a Northwest spin on it, «Smoked Salmon Eggs Benedict.» The Seafood area, was excellent. The carving station was, so, so. A lot of the meats were lacking flavor. Not sure if I would go back. The selection was great, seafood was great, the view was great, everything else was average. Oh yeah, and there were no drinks included. All the beverages were extra.

This place is terrible! Seattle is one of my favorite American cities! For decades, every visit to Seattle was planned around a jaunt to Tillicum Village. I always made time to take the boat over to Blake Island and sat through the lengthy American Indian presentation just to eat the best salmon in America! It is so flawless! So I took a good buddy of mine to Seattle. We didn’t have time to make it out to Tillicum Village this time, so I Googled«best salmon in Seattle.» It seemed that Salty’s was quite popular and highly rated. Could it be even better than Tillicum Village? Let’s make reservations and see what all the hubbub is about! A $ 40 salmon tasted worse than a Gorton’s frozen salmon straight out of the microwave. You practically can’t mess up salmon in Seattle because they’re so plentiful in this part of the country they’re practically jumping out of the ocean onto your plate, as fresh as it gets. My salmon was flavorless and disgusting. My friend was quite disappointed, furious that we didn’t just go to Blake Island. I’m a huge fan of oysters, and they were of very poor quality here! Fool my once, shame on you!

First off the restaurant had a spectacular view, it’s especially nice in the evening. I went to this location for a friends birthday and they were very accommodating for our large party. We were stuck more towards the kitchen, which wasn’t bad cause we still had a nice view. Our waiter was pleasant. They offered bread with butter and lava salt, which was nice. The drinks weren’t all that great. I ordered the pina kalakala, it was sour and watered down. My friend had the Mai tai, that would be a drink I recommend. Appetizer: Chilled tasters(all) I wouldn’t recommend getting all of them, they were ok, but not worth the money. The smoked scallops with red onion would be comparable to cough medicine. The taste of the scallop was good until you get to the red onion. Entrée: Steelhead This dish was very good!!! The fish was cooked to perfection on top of wild mushroom risotto. I absolutely love this dish and recommend this to anyone. Overall, this isn’t a bad spot for an intimate dinner with a significant other. I’d come back again. Hopefully I’ll have better luck next time.

My experience here was incredible. The waitress and kitchen staff were very accommodating to my needs, which is hard to find everywhere considering I’m a vegetarian AND allergic to garlic — not the easiest combo. My boyfriend and I started with moscow mules, truffle frites, and freshly baked bread with black lava salt butter. For main courses, I had the vegetable pasta and he had the King Salmon. We ended with the white chocolate mouse cake. First impressions were wonderful — the drinks were delicious, the frites were shoestring thin(my favorite), and the bread was still warm and made fresh by their in-house baker. When our main course came, I doubted I was going to be able to finish it because of our starters, but the vegetable pasta was so good that I was easily able to scarf it down. Across the table, my boyfriend kept saying«I wish I could have this everyday» about his salmon. After stuffing our faces

Came to Salty’s for Valentine’s Day dinner. It was great. They offered complimentary valet parking which was nice for how busy they were. We walked in and were seated right away which was nice. The view from our table was amazing, stunning views of downtown Seattle in its entirety. Our waiter was very nice. We brought a bottle of wine and he went above and beyond to make sure it was chilled and ready for us. For dinner they offered a select Valentine’s Day menu which was cool, but would have been nice to have a little bit more options. We got the antipasto to start, kale salad, and steak and crab for two. Everything was great. Crab tasted amazing, I just wish we had a little bit more. For desert we got the chocolate and peanut butter sphere which was really cool. The waiter poured hot chocolate over the sphere and it cracked to reveal ice cold vanilla ice cream under it all. I almost died! I recommend trying this place out if you haven’t already.

I don’t even know where to begin with what went wrong with the dinner so I will jus throw it all out: 1. I had informed the hostess it was my wife’s birthday and requested for a good window seat. 2. Made reservation for EARLY dinner hoping to get a glimpse of the sunset and increase chance of not having to wait, but was informed our table was being set and we were being seated. Uhhhh, no we’re not? I’m still standing here. 3. 30 minutes later, still waiting 4. If we are a group of 6 and you bring us a basket of bread which contained barely enough for all of us, don’t be surprised that I ask for more. 5. This would be a FIRST for me, EVER! I told the waitress the chicken looked a little pink at the center and could she send it back to the kitchen and have them cook it more. Rather then doing that she decided to investigate herself by pulling out her phone and turned on the camera and said«See! It’s not pink. It’s just the lighting.» Wow. I was literally floored by her comment. I’ve NEVER in my entire life had a «waitress» deny my request. Oh wait, sorry she did offer to send the chicken back into the oven after spending 5 minutes explaining to me it wasn’t raw. My brother seemed a little displeased by her comment and just went with it. 6. After we were done with our meal the waitress came by and dropped 5 dessert menu right in front of ME! Sure? It’s back to school now where I have to pass a menu down and around to everyone. 7. The table behind us was a couple that was waving and playing peek a boo with my daughter also had the same waitress. HOWEVER, it was like NIGHTANDDAY! Holy smokes! She was so upbeat and cheery talking to this table, but why was she so rude to us? I really don’t know why. 8. We declined on all desserts. Paid. I didn’t even want to leave a single dollar for tip, but the wife left some anyway. To summarize my experience, the chowder and bisque was decent, cod lack of flavor, «medium» cooked steak still came out medium rare. We still finished most of the meal. I would say food at best is a 3 star and –10 if possible for our server. We won’t be coming back.

This really was an amazing brunch with amazing views. I visited from out of town and I have to say, that I’d have given it 5 stars if they did not charge separately for beverages — I’ve never heard of that. Also, I’m used to bottomless champagne and/or mimosas at this price point. Lastly, I know this is a popular spot, but I kinda felt harried when the bill was presented early on in the meal, and the server seemed to stop coming by as often as if to discourage you asking for anything else. Then when the manager came by to provide«idle» chit chat, you knew they wanted you to leave. My brunching experience is few and far between, but I like to dine leisurely — pace myself, so I can enjoy all the offerings I’d like without wolfing everything down altogether in an hour.

Salty’s doesn’t live up to the hype. Went to Salty’s with my family for brunch today and left disappointed. I’m all about quality vs. quantity and the quality of the breakfast buffet was not worth the hefty price tag. At beast this place compares to a brunch at Red Robbins. The food wasn’t very warm. I ordered a $ 4 glass of OJ and got a glass full of ice with juice that looks like it came from a can. We paid about $ 60 per person(with tip) for coffee and a subpar buffet. There are a LOT better options for brunch in Seattle that cost half the price. Do your self a favor and pick a place that values the quality of their food.

Extremely over-priced. The food is «OK» but not great. I can understand the allure to tourists who don’t know better, but would not suggest it to any Seattleites. It has a nice view of the city, but so does Marination, and they are 1⁄3 of the price.

My family comes here every Christmas. The brunch is great, seafood is fresh, and definitely your money’s worth. Love the atmosphere; whether it’s your server or the cook in the pasta section, the staff is always pleasant and more than accommodating. If you get seated by the window, take advantage of the gorgeous view. Definitely make a reservation!

This place is always fun. The view, the staff, the ease of parking– what’s not to like? It is slightly pricey, but I do feel like I always get a great meal. The food is fresh, the offer gluten free items and flavors are pretty good. They have a great happy hour menu as well– in the summer you can sit out on deck! Most recently, I was here for the Saturday Brunch Buffet and it was insanely delish. The cost is $ 47(not including drinks). There was a LIVE piano player(uh what? that’s pretty cool). The variety of food options is out of the this world– everything is prepared perfectly and is surprisingly good for buffet style. There are multiple stations to choose from(make an omelette, make your own pasta, carving station, desserts, breakfast options) the list goes on and on– all great. The seafood is definitely the star of the show, crab, prawns, oysters, cooked fish– it is all there. I would attempt to call out everything I ate, but you just get bored– basically– go here. Try the buffet at least once. Be sure to make a reservation, arrive hungry and plan on not moving the remainder of the day.

Recommended to us for the view, which you’ll pay a little extra for, the food matched our nice vantage point, and we enjoyed lunch at Salty’s on a early Tuesday afternoon. We originally had a reservation for 11:30 with a request for a window seat, but seeing on the website that window seats were first come first serve, we came at opening at 11 to see what we could get. Remembering my days in college working and having to occasionally open a restaurant, we were the dummies that showed up at 10 til pulling on the locked door to see if they were open yet, resulting in some head shakes from the employees inside. Once we did get in, we had no problem getting a window seat, but I would recommend coming in early to get the seat because by 11:30 the restaurant was at capacity. I don’t recommend yanking on a locked door though. Service was excellent from Patrick. You could tell he was one of those seasoned veterans that was well versed in the menu and also efficient at handling multiple tables, which he had to be because his entire section was practically sat once. We started with 6 upper tier oysters($ 3.75/oyster), Shikogu Pacific, and 6 lower tier oysters($ 2.75/oyster), Dabob Bay, accompanied with a Guinness and a glass of Moscato. The freshly shucked Pacific oysters along with bread and two cups of seafood chowder($ 7.50) were an excellent start. This was the first time we had ever slurped down a Shikogu and we were pleased with the sweet flavor. For entrees, I had one of the fresh catch specials for the day which was steelhead($ 29) served over white rice topped with a beurre blanc, frisee, and lemon vinaigrette. This was a balanced dish as the rich fish was cooked perfectly accompanied with al dente rice, acidity from the vinaigrette, and some texture and freshness from the frisee. My wife had the crispy Rockfish ‘wich($ 15) with her choice of side being the Mediterranean pasta salad. For dessert, we finished with the recommended creamy and sweet butterscotch pudding($ 10), the portion being about 4 or 5 spoonfuls, didn’t justify the price tag. If you’ve never had a clear view of the Seattle skyline and if you enjoy fresh seafood, Salty’s is the place to be

Beautiful ocean views, complimentary valet parking, and all you can eat brunch. Yes please! I also appreciate what I’ll call the staging area, where they offer free Fisher fair scones, hot chocolate, macaroons, coffee, tea, and ice water. Stay classy, Salty’s! The price is steep for a regular brunch, but if you think of it as a special occasion treat, then it doesn’t quite hurt the wallet in the same way. We normally meet out of town friends here for after Christmas/New Year’s brunch as our once a year treat. I keep planning to fill up on just crab legs, but that never goes as planned.

Brunch is worthwhile if you eat a LOT of seafood and you do so on a sunny day. The view is worth paying for if the weather cooperates. The brunch is extensive — made to order omelettes, made to order pastas, flat bread, a huge spread of salads, pastries, flatbreads, desserts, typical brunch and lunch fare plus crab legs, oysters, smaller cocktail shrimp, seafood gumbo, mussels, etc. but the preparation is standard fare, nothing that makes your palette sing. If you are super hungry, have a high capacity for food and the weather is beautiful out, it’s definitely worth a try.

Salty’s is a place for special occasions — I was asked this 3x during my visit. I can see why considering it’s enviable location on the water, wall to wall windows and helium balloons everywhere. I went with the family on a Saturday late morning for brunch. We had a reservation but still had a 10 – 15 min wait. They’ve got you covered though. Not only is there ample seating but they’ve also got coffee, hot chocolate, and even some food sitting buffet style. I’m a sucker for seafood, so I made a beeline for the Dungeness crab legs, prawns and oysters. They have a shucker standing there constantly shucking oysters. Fresh and tasty. The crab was good and they have a huge cauldron of melted butter. Sadly, the prawns didn’t taste as good as I would have hoped, slightly frozen tasting. They have a made to order omelette station, pasta station, but I didn’t try them. There’s almost too much food for you to try so you have to be choosy. Some of the hot items were overly battered, sitting in the trays too long or a little too greasy. The dessert table was hit and miss. Some desserts like the cookies were rock hard, and others like the cinnamon bun had sickeningly sweet icing. I did enjoy being able to use the chocolate fountain on the fresh strawberries and pretzel sticks. Two thumbs up for the peanut butter rice crispy squares, but how could you have any doubt on that combo?! All in all, Salty’s was good, not great. You leave feeling so stuffed but the quality for what you pay for is not quite up to par. Pro-tip: complimentary valet parking!

We have been to this location for 4 times totally for the brunch buffet. It is the best around Seattle area. Too bad they don’t have dinner buffet option. My mom wasn’t into much because she likes Asian food better but this place is 100% American buffet. Anyways, make sure you RSVP and come early before 11am because after that, the dessert area is pretty much empty, especially during holiday week like Thanksgiving.

I realize that many of the negative reviews here talk about sit-down dinner experiences, and I’ve never been to Salty’s for those, so I don’t know. I can only speak of the brunch. It’s a damn good brunch, worth every dollar you pay if you are a big seafood eater. For $ 50, adults get an overwhelmingly huge array of breakfast items, fresh shellfish, pasta dishes, rice dishes, meats, fruits, and pastries(seniors and kids pay a lower rate). I’ve been here a few times and each time I walk into the buffet area, I still find myself lost and confused about what to do first. I’ve never been disappointed about the overall quality of the food — I mean there are a few items I’ve found to be mediocre, like a variation of jerk chicken they had one time I went, for instance — but these items certainly do not outweigh the good stuff they’ve got going on there. I love shellfish, and there is no limit to the number of raw oysters or crab legs I can eat here. And what a view! Service has always been fast and friendly. Plenty of parking in the parking lot, even though it does get very, very busy, and there have been days when we had to either park outside or valet it. Salty’s will always be a prime brunch destination. Granted, the brunch menu almost never changes, so you get the same thing every time. Hence, I only go maybe twice or three times a year and call it good.

Simply amazing. I’m sad I didn’t come here sooner. Our first time here was for Sunday brunch, and I just loved it. I think that they had something for everyone. It was pricey at around 50 person from what I recall, but I think it was most definitely worth it. We had outdoor seating on the patio and had an amazing view of downtown Seattle outlined by Elliot bay. Beautiful! The staff there was also very attentive and courteous. Although we did I have a specific server, I noticed that any staff walking by would still check in with us to cross cover. I really loved the atmosphere. I strongly suggest have a reservation. Even with a reservation, it did take about 15 minutes prior to seating. I overheard the family ahead of us without a reservation that it would be over an hour wait. Fortunately, for those that have to wait, the front wait area had free coffee and scones. I’d recommend this place and especially for their Sunday brunch. We plan to be back very soon.

A bit pricey for a brunch buffet at around $ 45 for adults and $ 24 for kids, on weekends with certain drinks included: Crablegs 3 stars — the crab legs were small, cold and watery, so wasn’t to my taste. hot items — 4 stars — lots of choices, including ham, and the pasta station had pretty good pesto seafood pasta. prime rib — 3 stars — was a little on the dry chewy side. dessert — 3 stars — I think the crème Brule was the only thing I liked. Otherwise, I didn’t care for the rest. They also had a chocolate fountain station to dip all sorts of fruits, pretzels and marshmallows in. Salad station — 4 stars — there was an assortment of different salads. Oyster station — 4 stars — they will shell a little at a time so you get a freshly shelled raw oyster. Service — 5 stars — at first they were seating us in the sun, but we couldn’t stand it being noon, and requested to sit inside, so they offered a booth which we were able to relax and take our time way after closing. the restaurant is near the lake so we had a nice view of the lake and city across it.

I like Salty’s, but last night wasn’t the greatest experience. Our waiter did not meet the Salty’s standards. Before he even took our orders he came to us several times and said to not switch around seats so it can be easier for him. I understand if he said that to us after he took our order, but he said that before, which doesn’t make any sense to me. We only had water, he didn’t even take our drink orders yet. Well after our order the waiter came around asking what we ordered so we can get our check, he took forever. I was kinda irritated with him already, because he stressed so much for us not to move chairs so it can be easy for him, and in the end he didn’t even remember what we ordered when it was time to get our check. Like I feel sorry for the guy because we were a large group, he at least needed an extra person to help out. I can also tell he was irritated with us as well. In the end we were standing around because it took him so long to get our checks, and instead of him bringing the check to me after I gave him my card, my brother had to get it for me. Not cool. I expect more for a place where I pay more. And this wasn’t the case. The food was tasty though, I had the soup and the komato salad, don’t eat too late, so decided to order something light. The hubby ordered the Salmon Coho, which I tried and it was delish, I think I would have enjoyed it more if we didn’t have the customer service we experienced.

Come for the abundant buffet but stay for the incredible views. Food is ok, value isn’t spectacular but there are a lot of diverse options. I know I’m the only person to ever say this — but I wish they had more vegetables and healthy options. Staff are incredibly friendly and the ambiance is really cool.
