Real Rehab

I just finished a series of PT with Kerry Ash Mauri at Real Rehab and I have to say she is just as awesome
as my Doctor said. She spends an entire hour hands on working on the issue and keeps
evaluating and making changes based on your progress.
My issue will require getting an injection to heal my pain and possibly more PT. I will go back
to Kerry in a heartbeat. The entire front desk staff are so friendly and helpful. If you are waiting
for a sooner opening they will put you on a «call list «, and they really DO call !

Izette always fixes whatever I’ve got issues with. There’s nothing she hasn’t been able to correct. She’s amazing!

Real Rehab is fantastic across many spectrums of physical therapy, metabolic testing, biomechanics testing, EMG collection, injury prevention and strengthening.
I am the head coach of the Brooks Beasts Track Club. We currently have World medalists, US Champions, US Record Holders (both male and female) on the team and I send my athletes to Real Rehab for their needs. They are one of the best clinics we have worked with in the US, so I am thankful they are down the street from us and we can access them quickly.

I went to G2 at Northgate about 7 – 8 years ago, and had a great experience. When I went back recently it was Real Rehab. It is very confusing as to what the relationship is between G2, now in Sammamish, and Real Rehab. G2’s website shows an office where Real Rehab is, Real Rehab make no reference to G2.
Anyway, my PT at Real Rehab moved to the Sammamish office mid treatment, and I had to start over with someone else. The worse part is the insurance debacle between these two entities, which office is covered by which insurance, etc. I was billed a reasonable amount one month after my treatment, but then something to the tune of 5 times that amount, was billed to me a full 10 months later.
The treatment is fine, even good. But understand the insurance and whose these two companies are to each other, before you move forward.

These folks know what they’re doing. I’m so grateful to have found them. I’ve seen Thi and Tara. Both are extremely knowledgable, observant of all the little details to and able to create a plan to get their clients on their way towards their goals. They know how to teach clients well.
RealRehab offers classes as well. I look forward to the Core class.
I came with IT band issues after seeing other PTs, doctors and health practitioners. I am improving and feeling better every week.

Thank you Alison and Cari for all your help and encouragement on my recovery for my Patellar Tendon Tear surgery. My surgery required a full exposure of my right knee, cut and reattachement of the tendon through holes drilled in the knee cap. According to my surgeon, Dr. Fuchs at Proliance Surgeons, this is a more difficult surgery to recover from than ACL. I had surgery on October 7^th that required immobility of knee for 2 weeks in a locked brace, then gradual progression of increasing range of motion of knee brace over 12 weeks. Alison and Cari did a great job of pushing me just enough to encourage the knee to heal, but not too much to cause harm to the surgery. I am happy to say at 20 weeks I started training 30 minutes a day either swimming, biking or running for an Olympic Triathlon I am going to participate in this summer. The knee is doing great and getting stronger every day! Thanks again Real Rehab!

With their Zero-​G treadmill and physical therapists who sounded like geniuses, I really wanted to like Real Rehab — my doc thought they could handle somebody like me, with the limitations of a chronic illness and an injury. Nope, nope, nope. I had hip bursitis from a fall on top of autoimmune arthritis. My doctor of a few years diagnosed it and high fived me that I had a normal problem for once, one that would be helped by simple physical therapy. Real Rehab pushed me and tried to get me to buy in to an expensive personal trainer program that would’ve cost me my health, along with a chunk of change. People with arthritis have to learn to protect their joints, specifically not push themselves. They clearly just wanted a warm body in their $ 1k a month plus onsite gym plan (run entirely by non-​physical therapists).
The person I met with, Bruk, was smirk-​y and a bit contemptuous of me. He did not think I had bursitis as my doctor did — instead, I was ‘out of shape.’ My hip hurt was because I was ‘sedentary.’. I use a wheelchair 75% of the time, for christ’s sake. I tried to show Bruk the swelling in my left hip, knee and feet that my doctor had seen. His reply? «They’re both big, I can’t tell if one is swollen.» This wasn’t just insulting; it was incompetent. Bruk used most of our hour long meetings to chart on his computer anyway — I decided not to go back. I did indeed have bursitis and got the help I needed in two treatments elsewhere. They’d never done basic stuff in 3 – 4 meetings at Real Rehab.

Hands down one of the best Physical Therapy clinics. Over the course of 25yrs, I have ended up in PT numerous times. I went to Real Rehab to treat Tennis Elbow, but Alison looks for the root cause instead of merely treating the symptoms. It turns out my complete lack of shoulder mobility was a contributing factor, if not the main factor, of causing my Tennis Elbow. She worked on treating both my Tennis Elbow and shoulder mobility. I no longer have any Tennis Elbow and my shoulder mobility is steadily improving. She also recommended I work with another PT, Michelle, to correct my form on CrossFit-​specific movements that were exacerbating my symptoms in order to prevent future injury and reduce the then-​current symptoms. Real Rehab works as a team, listens to what your goals are, they don’t have unrealistic expectations for athletes and will help come up with alternatives with what you can do while injured, and they identify root causes. I haven’t had any issues with billing. Their staff is friendly. My one recommendation is to schedule early. Hey, when they’re that good, word gets out and their schedules fill up. They do have great hours though, especially if you work a typical 9 – 5, you can usually get in after work.

Spectacular. I’m been coming in for about a month and a half to thaw a frozen shoulder, and Alison has been fantastic — a smart problem-​solver, upbeat, motivating, and patient. I am extremely pleased. Kudos to the front desk /​business team, too, who solved a minor billing problem with good humor and a pleasant attitude. For what should be obvious reasons I hope it’s a very long time before I require Real Rehab’s services again, but I recommend them without hesitation.
