Rainier Copy and Print

I’ve used Rainier Copy and Print for business printing a number of times over the last three years. Pull Up Banners, Cards, Flyers, Sequential Document Merge Printing. I usually deal via email with a few clarification phone calls, if a staff member can’t answer my question they get the owner to call me back super quickly. Quality is always superb and the price is very hard to beat! (I rang around to a lot of places the first time to price compare). I’m always impressed by how quickly they have gotten my jobs completed and they always deliver much faster then they promise. They have helped me out in a couple of last minute emergencies also.

Didn’t give me a receipt and made me wait 10 minutes while he talked on the phone after I asked for my receipt before he started looking for it.

Ensured I would get a poster at a certain deadline and kept pushing it back. Unlike them I actually have deadlines to meet. They also said they would call me back within an hour twice and both times I had to call them in order to keep myself updated. After assuring me it would get done they used our machine is broken as an excuse. You can only use «our machine is broken» as an excuse so many times for being unable to meet your deadlines.

Rainer Print & Copy did a FANTASTIC 5 Star 2 thumbs up job! They were easy to work with, kind, and their pricing is a fraction of the price of my old vendor. They worked efficiently and turned around and shipped my project within the 3 day timeline I required. In my stressful touring and business life, they made this item on my list a breeze and stress free! The print work is superior to any others out there. Man behind the counter was intensely grumpy, doesn’t feel great to be there. Hopefully he was just having a really bad day and feels better now.

I’m a frugal businesses owner. These guys are the cheapest and fastest in town. Great service too. They really try here despite the sometimes crush of business. Ignore the smarmy negative feedback from snot nosed UW students who complain about having to wait for their 10 copies.

I had to print and scan some documents. First of all, the place was dirty, and the guy was not helpful at all. When it was the time to pay, the guy told me «$ 2 plus tax.» I said «So how much?» He said «$ 2 plus tax.» Is it some kind of code among the Seattleites?

I don’t know what their reputation is for printing university course materials and office print jobs, by my experience with them printing my wedding place card name tents was atrocious.
The highlights:
1. They didn’t know what Avery template 5302 was so I had to add manual crop marks for cutting. Whatever. No biggie.
2. I went to pick up my cards and most of them were not cropped /​cut properly, such that the names were not centered. Some were even partially cut off. Why they would give me a product with my print text cut off is beyond me. Turns out they didn’t even use the crop marks. They said they’d reprint.
3. I came back the next day after being told the reprint was «perfect.» As is my nature, I double checked, just in case, given prior history. Good thing I did. I was confused because I noticed there were some duplicate names. I asked why. Khalil said that maybe some cards from the prior printing were retained and added to the current job. This was inconvenient because I was going to count the cards to see if the right amount were there. I then sat in his shop for an hour and had to manually audit the place cards against my list. There were names missing! He then printed just the names that were missing.
This was a no brainer print job and should have been done right the first time.

This place is absolutely worst when it comes to photos. I went here today to get my 2×2 passport photos taken for an application. It costed me a whooping $ 15.5 for 4 copies (it was $ 5.4 for 6 copies at Costco last week). While taking the photo the camera was literally less than 6 inches away from my face. I requested the photographer to retake the picture positioning the camera a little farther and then zooming in, but he didn’t understand what I said. I got the photos in my hand in about 10 minutes and they looked so horrible, mainly because the camera was so close to my face. The camera itself is a basic point and shoot. I know a thing or two about digital cameras and photography, and believe me this person doesn’t know anything about taking photographs. The editing was very bad too! I told him I do not like the photos and if he can retake them. He replied to me that they will look the same again and he already printed these ones. He didn’t offer me any other option. My photographs from Costco taken two weeks looked like real professional ones and costed a fraction of price than what I paid today and the customer service was horrible. I decided to trash these photos (I cannot let even my mom see these photos) even though I paid $ 15 for them and go back to Costco.

Nice and welcoming staff. They ensured that I would get my project done on time and constantly kept me updated. I would highly recommend this place. Especially for students who are needing to print trifold projects.
Excellent customer service, I wasn’t quite happy with the print job so they helped satisfy my needs and got my graphs looking perfect for my presentation.

This place is great! Very professional and he was able to print 200 business cards for me within 1 hour. I was very impressed by his services.

I came here to get Canadian passport photos in October after reading reviews that Rainier Copy and Print could deliver this service. My photos were rejected by Passport Canada due to the editing done to the photos. The guy who did them was nice, but clearly did not know the rules as he said he did.
Do not use these guys for Canada passport photos.

I have never experienced such poor customer service in the entirety of my career. I plan events for a living and so print work is a constant work stream of mine.
The Good:
Rainier Copy and Print was kind enough to offer to do a last minute print job for me at a reasonable price. They let me know that they would charge my card for the amount plus a deposit. Their turnaround time was impressive.
The Bad:
In my initial request I had asked for the work to be delivered to Bellevue. The day before they let me know that I would have to pick it up. My car is not big enough for something of that size so I said I would pay them a large fee to deliver which they agree to.
At the event, the poster was outside and there was some rain. The ink ran. On top of that, the stand that they gave me was broken and so essentially I couldn’t use the poster even when it was dry at the beginning of the event.
For weeks and weeks after the event, I contacted the company. I wanted to know where I should have returned the stand, if I could perhaps have someone pick it up, let them know about the broken stand and poor quality print work, and get them to remove the large deposit from my corporate credit card. For weeks I did not hear back — over a month in fact. I incurred late fees on my corporate card and they refused to return emails or phone calls. I did finally hear back and they let me know where to return the stand and did apologize for the inconvenience. I went to return the stand and then after following up several times, they finally returned my email blaming me for the broken stand and saying that they would not return the deposit, in fact they wanted to charge me more for the delivery that I had agreed to.
I have finally given up and decided to pay the full amount. HOWEVER, I do not have a receipt for this expense. I have emailed them over and over asking for an invoice of any sort so that I can submit this work expense. To date, I have not heard from anyone. I am incredibly frustrated, have incurred $ 75 in late fees that I have had to personally pay, and the charge is still on my card as I wait for the invoice.
Rainier Copy and Print — PLEASE RETURN MY EMAILS AND PHONE CALLS. PLEASE SEND ME MY RECEIPT. This is the most unprofessional service I have ever experienced in my entire career. It has been over two months since the initial charge was put on my card and I am incredibly annoyed.

I’m all for supporting local stores but I had to cave and go to kinkos after my experience here. I was trying to print a slightly formatted document from a flash drive and could not do it because their computers don’t have Microsoft Word. Which quite frankly is pretty unbelievable. Microsoft Works messed up all of the formatting and I ended up leaving and going elsewhere. Can’t say I’d recommend

What do you need to know about this place? They do not post their prices and they think customer service is a joke.
When I went in to print a document the person at the counter printed it for me but unfortunately did not tell me the price even when asked. When he told me the price he said «one dollar plus 50 cent credit fee». I said, «uh, no, that is a rip off, you should’ve told me the price». All he did was smile and give a laugh. Not wanting to leave my document with personal info I paid the outrageous fee. Next time I will be going the few blocks to FedEx where they at least have an inkling of what customer service is.

I came in on 9÷19÷14 to print a book for presentation purposes. I wanted a 41-​page PDF printed double-​sided on heavy, glossy paper. I ended up wanting to print on white card stock, but was told that duplex printing isn’t possible on this type of paper. Despite this, I still wanted double-​sided printing for my book, so we had to print one side at a time.
Bhisma didn’t know the correct orientation for feeding the paper into the printer (to make sure the backsides of the pages weren’t upside-​down). Thus, some paper and ink were wasted. I’m assuming that printing double-​sided on card stock with specific margins isn’t a typical printing job, so I appreciated Bhisma’s positive attitude and desire to make sure that the final product was exactly how I wanted.
Sure, Bhisma had to use trial and error to figure out how to print on both sides of card stock, but he certainly wasn’t as rude as other reviewers have described. I was satisfied by the customer service and the final product, so I wouldn’t mind coming back.

Where to start?
I guess the pertinent information you should know before going in is that you should already be knowledgeable about printing before going and use a flash drive or other USB storage device to give them file rather than any cloud storage. Their customer service and just their interpersonal skills are SERIOUSLY lacking. They don’t have any kind of sample portfolio for you to look at to help decide what type of paper to choose, and they don’t even explain what kinds of options they have. It’s up to you ask all the questions, otherwise they will just assume that you want to print on matte paper.
The first time I went, the girl at the counter didn’t really understand the pricing for the different papers (only glossy or matte apparently) and didn’t seem to have any predictions about whether the resolution I was using would be adequate or not. The prints came out perfectly in the end, and I would rate the overall experience at 3-​stars.
I went back a second time because I wanted to print one of the posters I made at a larger size since ones before had come out so well. When I went in, the man at the counter was very short with me. He didn’t ask me what kind of paper I wanted before he charged me, and then was frustrated with me when I told him that I wanted glossy and he would have to ring me up again. The way he told me that they wouldn’t be ready for at least two days before I could pick it up was said in a way that felt like he was trying to get me to leave rather than just informing me turnaround time. I would have just gone elsewhere at that point, not because of the time to print, but because of his total lack of interest, but I wanted to be sure the new print would match the previous ones. This second experience was definitely 1-​star due to the service.
In the end, I really can’t recommend that anyone go to this business. The prints I made did come out well, but I’m sure you could get the same quality prints along with a much better customer experience at another establishment. Hopefully they’ll change their attitudes about their job or the business will be taken over by new management because the printing itself is actually good.

I showed up at the Yeast Genetics Meeting without a poster and was initially quite worried about finding a place to print it. Fortunately, I needn’t have stressed: amazing Unilocal reviews led me to Rainier Copy and Print. I e-​mailed a PDF of my 31″ x 40″ poster, they asked a single clarification question, and my poster was ready to go in an an hour. Not only do they have a faster turnaround time than any printer I’ve ever heard of, they also have extremely reasonable prices, at least for my print job.
I wish I could pick them up and move them to Denver. They made my life so much easier!

We came in to get some passport photos taken. The guy at the counter was beyond rude. The amount of disrespect he show to everyone in his shop was staggering. I watched him bark at a mother and her child. Throw his hands at a man trying to get a print done and blow off a young woman who wanted a print.
Im honestly SHOCKED and even think that these positive reviews are paid for. Everything about this place reeks of scam!!!
