I took this class in October 2015 (with Doug P!) and it taught me many things, one of which was that I had a MUCH longer road of studying before me than I thought I did.
Location:
The Marriott was a great location for this class. The parking was free, there is a café inside the lobby, and the room was comfortable.
Content:
I passed the test on the first try, so that tells you something! The resources PMA offers are phenomenal. The online videos were an amazing help for me to structure my studying. The content of the class made everything MUCH more understandable and relatable than it would have been if I had just tried to use books available. PMA was able to cram a ton of information in 4 days, and magically, in a way that sticks!

Gregg Richie was SUCH a great instructor! He was very approachable during and after the class when I had questions, and he explained everything in terms I could easily digest. I heard his voice in my head when I was taking the test, for sure.
I highly recommend this class if you want to set yourself up to succeed for the test.

I took the 4 day bootcamp in October 2015 and was very impressed by how thorough and engaging the course (and instructor) were. The study material PMA was incredibly helpful in preparing for the exam, which I passed on my first attempt with no problems. Between the practice tests and the various study guides and online tools they provide, I had plenty of material to use in the weeks leading up to my test. My instructor (Gregg Richie) did a great job of using practical examples and reiterating information throughout the course to ensure that students understood and absorbed information. He also made the course engaging by encouraging student input and interaction, which made it fun despite how long the courses were.

I can’t say enough good things about Project Management Academy, Gregg Richie and the customer service staff at PMA. I took Gregg’s class in April 2014 and well. .. life is life and I wasn’t able to sit for the exam until December 2015. The class was fantastic, the training materials are great, the test taking tips and tricks are insanely helpful and the online modules which I desperately needed after 16 months were great for getting me back up to speed. PMA takes their task seriously and gives you everything you need to succeed. Thank you!

I have had the goal of becoming a PMP for about three years now and instructor Gregg Richie helped me make that a reality! The tools and information the Project Management Academy presented me were 1. A binder filled with power point slides 2. The PMBOK guide 3. a USB with practice test 4. the most useful study sheets ever 5. the best instructor who has personally written books about and completed projects and instructs with ease and simplicity, breaking it down like a drill sergeant to a private in bootcamp! Four days online class is tough but absolutely necessary to pass!

I took the PMP Boot camp course with Gregg Richie as my instructor. The class is fast paced and full of information. The structure of the class is well laid out and terrifically taught by Gregg. His knowledge of the PMBOK book, by chapter and verse is awe inspiring, only shadowed by his candid teaching style and obvious love of topic.
On a personal note I find Gregg to be very genuine in is desire to teach and help you on our journey to passing and success of career.

I took the PMP course in October 2015. I thought the course was well laid out and found the class informative and interesting because of the course and the instructor, Gregg Richie. He is very knowledgeable of the material and the difference between what you need to know for the exam and how you apply it in the real world of project management.
The support after the class was exceptional. They have videos for each part of the class you can review, practice exams, weekly tutorials, the ability to send in a question and an instructor will respond, and many other study aids.
Overall I would recommend Project Management Academy to prepare for the PMP exam.

There is no way that I would have passed the PMP the first time out, without the PMA Bootcamp and Gregg Richie’s expertise. I took the July 2015 Bootcamp in Seattle, and passed the PMP in September 2015.
I had the PMBOK and other study materials prior to the course. But anyone who is considering taking this exam will know that it’s a heck of a lot of materials to cover. The PMA Bootcamp immersed me into the studies and set out a clear study track leading into the exam. Gregg Richie is an excellent instructor with both book smarts, and «street smarts.» (And by the way… the man has the PMBOK memorized! Are you kidding me? Memorized? He’s incredible!)
After the Bootcamp, PMA provided additional online materials, and their practice exams were INVALUABLE in the prep for the real thing. I highly recommend Gregg, and all of PMA’s materials.

For the last 2 – 3 years, it was always a task in my to-​do-​list to sit for the PMP test and somehow being busy at work and then family relocation from one side of the world to another, this never happened! Almost a year ago I got my membership with PMI set and received a copy of PMBOK and thought I can easily do it by reading the book myself and then sit for the test! My oh my! The text book was dry and very very difficult to stay motivated and continue reading it!
Until last week of Apr this year (2015) that again the subject popped in my head and by searching the net and reading reviews, I decided to attend the boot camp of «Project Management Academy» (PMA) in the first week of May 2015 in Seattle! And wow! A fantastic experience! Why? Because of the followings;
1– Fantastic instructor Martin Payne and also we had Gregg Richie as a sitting instructor who was attending the brain storming discussions
2– PMA has a totally different approach towards the text book! PMBOK goes by «Knowledge Area» (which does not make any sense!!” Where as PMA goes by «Process Groups»
3– Excellent materials and summaries
4– Great Mock-​exams available for the students
After the boot camp, i studied for a month (1.5 hours a day max), did 4 mock exams at home in my last week before test and passed the test in my first try!
I can’t thank Martin Payne, Gregg Richie and PMA in general enough! I am checking PMA’s programs for my PDUs too!

I took their 4 day boot camp in Kirkland (their winter location) with Gregg Richie. It was fast paced with lots of great information. Gregg demonstrated a huge amount of information with clear examples and deeper understandings, as well as tips for tricks to watch out for on the exam. Post-​class follow-​up by Gregg as well as the online help and practice tests from PMA really helped me to be fully prepared and confident for the exam which I passed today.

Ensure you take the time to properly prepare for the test, it’s no joke. If you are struggling with grasping the concepts I suggest you go through the online version of the boot camp, which is available through the PMA web site.
The virtual classroom was a great primer to obtaining your PMP certification, and Mr. Ritchie our instructor was great! He was through, honest, succinct, and experienced. His approach ensured my ability to grasp key concepts, terms and processes. Additionally, his method in preparing for the exam was very helpful and provided me with a good starting point in my studding routine.
If you want to increase your chances of passing the PMP certification exam the Project Management Academy is your go-​to choice!

I attended PMP Bootcamp conducted by Project Management Academy. I attended an online course on January 5^th to 8^th lead by Gregg Richie. The online course fit my needs very very well. The systems used and the materials developed are top notch. I passed my exam on the first attempt using the materials provided by PMA.

I made the huge mistake of booking my test directly at the end of my boot camp. Don’t do that unless you really enjoy 24 hour panic attacks and sleepless test question filled nights.
Gregg, our instructor, was fantastic. Through, entertaining, honest and experienced — his method of instructing really helped to get the key themes across as well as some helpful tips to approach the test. I could not have selected a better instructor to help me successfully complete this extensive exam.

The PMA boot camp taught by Gregg Richie was an excellent way to start my studies. Prior to taking the boot camp I had very little exposure to the PMBOK, after the class I felt very confident that a foundation had been laid that I could build on. Following Gregg’s strategy for studying I was able successfully pass my exam in one try! He not only gets you through the material, but provides you with a strategy which you can use going forward to for studying. I definitely recommend taking the boot camp class, it provides a well rounded immersion into the PMBOK and allows students already knowledgeable to ask questions, which Gregg did an excellent job of answering.
