Still has fast and steady service. Very very reasonably priced. Nice staff that always treats my daughter kindly. The phở is standard therefore the reason for only 4 stars. The function and purpose of this place is fast reliable consistent and reasonably priced.

What happened to the portions! I ordered a small #9 to go, and when I got home, I was disappointed to see my order was half the size from my previous visit last month.

Didn’t like the interior, phở was just ok, definitely had better phở.

Phở was ok. Person who answered the phone spoke very poor English, I couldn’t even order what I was trying to pick up. Eventually someone came to the phone who did speak English and successfully placed my order. This was very frustrating since I was in a rush with limited time for lunch!

This place is Not kids friendly! They do not have any proper booster seats and my 1 year old was crying which we did try to calm her down, but one of the workers there said Shut up loudly and the F*** word to us. We will never return there! Not only that but the service was not great either because we had to ask them several times to get small cups of water for the kids(we had 3 other young children). I can understand Vietnamese and the guy there continues to swear the F*** word none stop out in the customer eating area.

At first I was a fan, but I think it was only because the Ballard Than Brothers was my first phở experience ever. And then when I found out they were expanding to West Seattle, I was delighted. But honestly, at least for the WS location, the broth doesn’t have the complexity and depth you expect from a good phở place, the veggie option is simply a bunch of tofu and canned mushrooms, and the cleanliness of the place leaves a whole bunch left to be desired. Skip this place and go to New Leaf Bistro in the Admiral District instead.

«Out» of broccoli for the third time. Three out of three times. Seems suspect. Perhaps they reduce their prices and remove it from the menu if it’s not something they plan to buy. Seems like REALLY poor ordering or not being honest, in any case their Phở is mediocre at best anyhow.

I walk by this restaurant nearly every day with my dog and all I can think is, would it kill them to clean the place up a bit? The windows are filthy, the décor abysmal, so unappetizing. I wouldn’t eat there. There are many more appealing places in West Seattle.

The husband and I get takeout from here once or twice a month. Not sure why there are so many bad reviews on here. It’s pretty consistent and you always know what you’re going to get. And you get a cream puff for dessert!

Had the phở bac #1 Pros: speed, taste Cons: interior, recent price increase I’ve been about 5 times and enjoy it every time. Very consistent

I was a regular here but have been there less frequently over past year. The soup is always delicious but side plate — sprouts, lime, basil — is not always very fresh looking. It was so off-putting at one lunch that my co-diner stopped coming here completely. The price is very reasonable, but quality is erratic.

The phở here is quite flavorful and I love the quick service. Every time I come to this place, I order and my bowl of noodle is on the table in the next few minutes. Out of all the PHOTHANBROTHERS locations, I prefer this one. It’s a little farther for me, but the broth flavoring and portions haven’t changed. The Broadway location doesn’t have as flavorful broth to me. Maybe b/c it’s in a different area they want to cater to different taste buds? This is not a super fancy restaurant, so don’t have high expectations with the interior. Anyway, great place to have a bowl of phở.

I always like Than Brothers Phở. We usually stop by here for hot bowl of phở at least once a month. Highly recommended!

Best phở — and more specifically phở broth — in Seattle. Forget about ambiance, an extensive menu or over the top service. They have new tables/chairs, but the décor has generally been the same for 20+ years & the there’s literally 1 thing on the menu: Phở. You go to Phở Than Brothers for excellent noodle soup. If great phở is what you’re looking for, then you’ll walk out happy & you’ll keep coming back.

This is the WORST phở in the world. The broth tastes like it’s made from some sort of artificial soup base. I had a good experience with Phở Than Brothers in University District but Phở Than Brothers in West Seattle is absolutely horrible.

I eat here several times a week. The food is consistent, the people are friendly, the cream puff is a nice touch, what’s not to like. I regularly order a medium #14. In and out for less than $ 8. The place is a bit dirty, but it’s phở… What else do you expect. All these places are a bit gritty.

Phở done right is the best thing ever and for some of my friends, the best hangover cure possible! As another reviewer said: «It gets the job done.» Ditto! They also give a free complimentary cream puff, which is nice(though the best cream puff was just okay). Though Phở Than Brothers in West Seattle was a little lackluster and not my favorite phở experience, the customer service was generally good and the broth wasn’t bad. However, the broth wasn’t very flavorful or anywhere near the best I’ve had in Seattle. It’s an okay fix if you’re stuck in West Seattle and your phở options are very limited. I’ve been to Saigon, so truthfully, the broth doesn’t even compare. The restaurant and décor is a bit older, and the wear on the place shows. I don’t mind eating at sketchy places(that’s usually my jam), but Phở Than Brothers could really use a revamp of the décor and bathrooms. You can still have a little sketchiness in you but with charm. I’m still open to trying them out again in the future to see if my opinion changes though. I like family owned businesses, which this seemed like it was. However, if they stepped up their game a little, I think they’d get more consistent ratings. My overall thoughts: –Food/Drinks: 2.5 –Customer Service: 3 stars –Atmosphere: 2 stars –Cost: 3 stars Overall: 2.5 stars

This is quite possibly the dirtiest restaurant I’ve ever been in(well, 2nd to Meanders). It even smells GROSS when you walk in. Then the service: oh dear lord, please learn how to treat customers DININGOUT: absolutely lame and/or inexperienced. The Food: the broth looked and tasted like dirty dish water. The noodles were HARD, the meat was skimpy, smelled off, and was probably the ass end of a dog at one time. Quite honestly the lack of cleanliness speaks volumes about their dedication. Everything about this place says LAZY, DIRTY, SICKENING

I moved to the East Coast a couple years ago and just about the only thing I miss in Seattle is a good bowl of Than Brothers phở. I’m in NYC and still trying to find a phở place that compares. The dining area is roomy, no frills, and has less ambiance than a Walmart — granted. If you are coming for a fine dining atmosphere, prepare to leave disappointed. BUT if you are coming for a fine selection of meats, quality ingredients, and an addictive bowl of phở… this is your place. And the serving size and price are hard to beat.

I thought the Phở was excellent here! Dunno what the bad reviews are about??? This place was reviewed by experts as one of the top Phở places in Seattle which is why I went… And was not disappointed! Low on ambience factor but who cares when the soup is that good?! I like that they have a smaller portion for me too. Many thumbs up!
