this is a retrospect as well since i visited this lovely place back in December 2010 and i really wanted to remember this place. i bought my purse here and i love my purse with a passion and am complimented on it all the time. it’s my only purse. the incense is awesome too. my friend bought me a beautiful piece (a good luck hanging thing, mandala perhaps?) that is in my car and brings me peace of mind.

I had no idea there was a store like this in Seattle. It is a beautiful store, welcoming and cheery as soon as you walk in. They carry handmade treasures by true, talented artisans, books, jewelry, etc. I highly suggest checking it out for gifts!
The other fantastic thing about this place is the owner. I had the pleasure of chatting with Rigdzin today about Tibet and India. With a big smile and warm heart, he is someone i’m thankful to have run into.

One of my hobbies is to visit stores and restaurants with four to five star Unilocal ratings. That’s what brought me to Pema Kharpo.
One of the downsides of this shop (for me) is the concentrated presence of incense. Some incense and perfumes irritate my lungs and nose. The incense is heavily saturated in this store. I browsed the shop for 5 – 10 minutes before leaving.
The scent aside, I found the shop to be clean, attractive, and cozy. The price range seems to coincide with similar shops.
The store caters to a specific audience. Meaning, you won’t find much variety in the items available for sell. However, if your focus is Tibetan style meditation, then you need to visit this store.

I am so glad that Pema Kharpo and Rigdzin are here. He is a kind soul. After I bought some lovely-​smelling incense and a beautiful holder, I pushed my sleeping baby in the stroller, crossing 85th. I had completely forgotten the items I just bought! Rigdzin had run all the way, even crossing the street, to bring them to me. Thank you – I greatly appreciate it!
Six months after I gave a dear friend a fertility charm that I bought at this shop, she had become pregnant with twins. Science might have been involved, but it seems that spirituality helped, too.

The owner has such good energy, and he was very helpful when I asked him the meaning of a lot of the buddhist art. Stop by! Genuine spiritual shops like this are rare.

We love this place. The owner is the nicest person and has such a wonderful energy about him. There is so much to look at and very hard to choose what to buy. We had to give ourselves a limit of money to spend because there was so much we wanted. It is one of our favorite stores and a great place to buy someone a personal gift. I wear my bracelet I bought there everyday. It holds a special meaning because of where I got it.

Amazingly helpful and blessed little store. You can smell it down the block. Rigdzin is a wonderful person and led me to some lovely treasures. i adore the handmade mantras he has that go towards building resources in Tibet, i will always treasure mine :) They have almost everything you could need for creating good energy in your life, and many wise suggestions to help you on this path.

My little treasure house. Half of my tibetan collection of things is from here. My man even knows that he can’t go wrong shopping here for me. From music for massage, to books, to prayer flags, to incense and herb sticks, to hangings to posters…
Plus the owner is very kind & knowledgable. He even gave me a string that was blessed by His Holiness because I told him I loved the Dalai Lama.
Really quaint, but so many things are crammed into this place and I could spend hours in there. This is one of my monthly ritual destinations.

A great selection of Tibetan & subcontinental imports including prayer flags, incense, statuary, wall hangings & fabric arts, clothing, hand-​carved boxes, books, candles, jewelry &c.
They stock a very good selection of books dealing with Buddhist, historical, and spiritual subjects.
They also stock Buddhas of all shapes and sizes (well, no larger than 1′ tall anyway), and in a variety of materials.
The staff is very friendly, knowledgeable about their stock, and always happy to accommodate special orders. As Alex V. pointed out in a previous review «you’ll leave in a better mood.» You really will, too. Funny how smiling, happy people can be contagious.

This store is amazing! There is so many varieties of books, candles, incense and much more. The owner was patient and explained all I wanted to know. Birthday, Christmas, and any holiday that involves gifts… I will be stopping by Tibetan Treasures!

Pema Kharmpo is a very special little treasure chest right in the heart of Greenwood. The owner, Rigdzin, is incredibly friendly. His products often come straight from Nepal, India, or Tibet. The price is sometimes a little high, but it is usually worth it (great materials, handmade items, supporting a local business). I love to come here for holiday presents. I am definitely a knick-​knack collector, and there are plenty of those here! He carries a small selection of books, religious items (statues, malas, thangkas), incense, and more. All in all it is a very unique and wonderful little place.

The best Himalayan/​Tibetan boutique I’ve seen. The atmosphere is quiet and tasteful, with beautiful paintings and carpets. The owner is very well-​informed and friendly, and has a great selection of Buddhist and other books (and seems to have read most of them!).

Walking down Greenwood near 85th, my nasal passages were suddenly assaulted by the scent of incense that was so heavenly, I had to follow my nose to this little gem of a store. Handmade gifts from Tibet, religious icons, books, cards, etc, etc kept my interest for a good 30 minutes (and that’s a lot!). The blank page journal I bought had hand-​pressed paper that was too pretty to write on and it took me a while to put a mark on that paper.
The owner/​manager was very nice and very helpful in answering my questions and I will return for some of the unusual gift items I saw there.
