This place doesn’t deserve even a star. I walked in this morning to order some marijuana. Without even asking if I had a medical card the guys behind the counter say«this is a medical card only dispensary.» I tried explaining to them that I do in fact have my card and without letting me finish the man walks out from behind the counter and grabbed me by my two arms from behind and forces me into the next room where there was a list of recreational dispensaries. Obviously I wouldn’t have walked into your shop if I wasn’t a card holder don’t ever put your hands on a woman you don’t know! It was completely uncalled for.

First things first… the PDA Lounge in Seattle(in my humble opinion) should be used as the format/template for all the marijuana dispensaries in the entire country. A bold statement that goes well beyond the usual«Great» rating — and I’ll back it up: I’m a retired U.S. Navy Chief… I mention that not because it’s the greatest title in the world, but to stress this point: I’ve sailed a few seas(some deep some shallow) and pulled into a couple of ports(some great… some well, less than great). As a young Petty Officer, at the behest of a salty first class, I even went on a search to find the last«Dog and Pony show»(glad I didn’t find it once I discovered what is was… WTF!). I figured out a few important lessons along the way, and being how I’m a sharing person I will do just that. · Don’t matter who you pray to or who you sleep with… if you’re at my side when the«stuff» hits the fan you are my Sister/Brother. · If it tastes good… don’t drink too much of it — you might not be able to get back up.(reference: the tasty beverage named Mojo sold in the Philippines, I might have had a glass or two in 1988/89/99/…etc) · Never trust a big butt and a smile(that bit of advice goes out to the ladies too… I know ya’ll ladies be checking out the goods!) · Most medicine is drugs — but most drugs is NOT medicine. Now let me expound on my last point… it is after all, the reason for this Unilocal. As a medicine marijuana can help with: · Control of epileptic seizures · Relieves arthritis discomfort · Reverse the carcinogenic effects of tobacco and improve lung health · Decreases anxiety · Keeps you skinny by helping your metabolism (Reference internet article: «23 Health Benefits of Marijuana» written by Jennifer Welsh & Kevin Loria 20 April 2014). The friendly and knowledgeable staff at PDA addresses the average customer’s information requirements enabling them to enjoy marijuana in a recreational capacity but more importantly… they know enough about the product and its effects to suggest how the«medicine» can best tackle each customer’s specific medical needs. They know the growers by name which means they know the medicine is safe and will do what it’s supposed to, kind of like a good cook going to the farmers market to make sure the fish isn’t bad. My theory on why/how the PDA Lounge bats 1000 is — all the staff there are creative artists. There’s Ernesto the painter. FYI — the painting of Frida Kahlo that hangs in the Lounge is his creation; Keirn the fashion designer. FYI — some of his gear is sold right in the store, and I’m proud to say I’ve «rocked» my PDA lounge gear all around the country; OC Notes the house DJ who’s music repertoire, love of good-tunes and experimental style will have him headlining in Las Vegas and Ibiza soon — Yo OC I still owe you for that missed gig… Holla!; Benito who had a hand in revolutionizing the Hip-Hop and Beat Boy history of Seattle and played a significant part in exposing Hip-Hop to the world And of course the Marijuana Guru himself Brother Nick — holla at em the cat will blow your mind with the knowledge he has on the plant and its effects(FYI he is a grower also!). With all those creative juices flowing at the PDA Lounge one can’t help but get doused with the awesome outstanding-ness of the super-sweet-sticky-icky that they sell as soon as they pass the threshold. And their product selection(in my humble opinion) is the best I’ve seen in Seattle! So don’t walk… run(unless you’re already tilted… then by all means crawl) and don’t be a What-Day-Do(They smile in your face — always trying to take your place), toke/tip well and tell them Mordeaci sent you and maybe they will give you a discount… don’t count on it but they might if you can pronounce my name correctly. FYI — the PDA Lounge is a medical dispensary accordingly, they only dispense medicine to individuals over the age of 21 who have(in their possession — that means bring it with you!) a valid marijuana license from the state of Washington — absolutely no exceptions so don’t even ask! Holla!

the prices are a bit steep. I am not entirely sure where the tax money they collect goes, as medical is not taxed in this state.

I’m not from Seattle and thought I would check out this spot because it was close. Went in and found out it’s for medical only. Wish it was posted on the mobile site. Went in a was basically kicked out in a rude way. Didn’t make me too happy. Asked where to go and got vague answers. Guess they don’t like foreigners.

Everytime I’m in the area I make sure that I stop by here and get medicated and get my head right. Always pleasant care and good strains. Make sure that you support the culture.

Terrible dispensary, I wouldn’t recommend. They had bad smelling flowers, cheap sandwich bags to hold them and the prerolls have me a nasty after effect in my throat/nose. Not only that, another time I went to smoke in the lounge and the gal working there was very rude to me right from the beginning, she was much more interested in her phone.
