I absolutely ADORE Pat and have referred him to countless friends both buying and selling homes — I hope I never have to buy or sell without him! We had a short buying window, as we were renters who had to either buy our home or move. Since we had no plans of buying when we were give that option, we were forced to go from renters to learners to homeowners in barely over a month. Where would we have been without Pat?! He helped us navigate the entire home buying process, figure out what we needed to look for in our home (as prospective buyers rather than as renters), compare our current home to about 30 others (so we wouldn’t buy our own rental house without doing a fair comparison of the market) — all within a month (!).
Pat is someone you can trust. He did a lot more market comparative work for us than we even knew needed to be done, but he wanted to make sure that we had all the information we would need to make an informed buying decision. Most important for me was that he was ALWAYS willing to answer my many, many questions, and did so in a way that made me comfortable asking as many more as needed. He was super knowledgeable about our local market, and provided the calm voice of reason and experience that I very much needed during what was otherwise a hectic whirlwind of a home buying experience.

I’ve worked with Pat on four real-​estate transactions over the last few years: buying a first home, selling that home, buying a bigger house, and separately selling a condo. The circumstances have been different but I’ve consistently appreciated his experience, counsel, and reliability in each case.
Pat’s experience and standing in the realtor community is evident. He is professional, calm and thorough in his approach but maintains and shares a candid perspective on the human element that plays a role in these large transactions. He seems well known and well regarded in the local realtor community; for example, other realtors at open houses would quickly recognize his name and ‘back off’ from a hard sell or trying to secure us as new clients. His experience in construction felt like it made each house tour feel like a mini-​inspection (which was appreciated), his estimates of repair/​work costs were proved accurate when we subsequently invited bids, and we’ve been pleased with the work done by the people to whom he has referred us (mortgage broker, roofer.)
A few years ago my wife and I were thinking about purchasing a specific cabin near Stevens Pass. Despite being some 70 miles out of Seattle and well outside of his typical area, and Pat happily met us out there, gave us his commentary, and did the background research that helped us make the decision to pass on that property — a decision on which we have no regrets.

When searching for our first home back in 2005, we were fortunate enough to be referred to Pat by some family friends. His knowledge of the Wedgwood/​Ravenna/​NE Seattle neighborhood was impressively thorough, especially given that I’d lived in that area my whole life. Amidst the craziness of the market we were somehow able to find a home that was in our price range and that matched our needs. We were so grateful to have had an agent like Pat on our side during that first home-​buying process — he was patient with our questions, took the time to explain the paperwork to us (very important), and was endlessly energetic in showing us over 50 homes and explaining the pros and cons of each.
Fast forward several years and two kids later, and we needed a new space to fit our growing family. To save money, we decided to go with Redfin to sell our home. This ended up being an extremely frustrating and disappointing decision. To me, the savings were not worth the headache. I was more than relieved that we decided to go with Pat again to find a new home.
Again, through this process, we were impressed with Pat’s professionalism and market knowledge. His construction/​building experience was more in evidence this time around and as mundane as that might seem to some, to us it only contributed to what makes Pat stand out amongst other agents. He is also the type of agent who will walk through every room in a potential home with you to point things out or answer questions — unlike others who just unlock the door and wait there while you cluelessly wander about.
One of the other important things I want to mention is that Pat is really on your side — he is invested in you and your family, your needs and wants, and takes it all into account — but is realistic at the same time. He’s also a good advisor — he listens, makes sure that you understand things, and guides you in the right direction — yet doesn’t make the decision for you. I would highly, highly recommend him to anyone looking to buy or sell a home. There is no one else I would rather have in my corner.

Pat is a fantastic agent and helped us sell a home and buy our current home. He is the consummate professional, with very strong ethics, and is an ideal representative both for a buyer and seller. Pat has an encyclopedic knowledge of the market (particularly in Seattle) and knows construction styles and things to watch for when buying a home. He is thorough when researching homes to show and was careful when doing an assessment of our house for sale.
