Finding the Palisades restaurant was incredible for my wife and I. Great ambience and the food was incredible. The Palisades is now our favorite restaurant. You will not find a better restaurant in southwest Virginia — period.

BF& I met with my Uncle & Aunt for dinner. It’s a great place to celebrate special occasions. This place seems to fill up during the weekends so make sure to book ahead of time. We went on the day of prom night. Ambiance: make sure to book ahead of time and request to sit by the window. You’ll get to see the sunset and the boats/yachts parked by the Marina. The server was extremely attentive and accommodating. Food: Appetizers: –Mussels –½ dozen oysters –Signature PuPu tower Entrée: I got the Halibut. BF got the Palisade Surf y Turf. My Uncle got the Copper River Salmon. My Aunt got the HI red snapper. Everything was so fresh. Suggest to not overdo it on the appetizer, in which we did. By the time we got to our main dishes, we were almost full. Yes, definitely go with an empty stomach. Parking: valet is complimentary. You can also park at the lot but look out for permit parking as they’re reserved for pple who live in their boats.

Beautiful view of both downtown Seattle and the harbor while enjoying a lovely seafood dinner. Ordered the oysters for appetizer and were happily surprised with the unique presentation. Our waiter and all the staff were extremely thoughtful and went above and beyond to make our dinner one we will always remember as amazing from start to finish. Food and drink and service excellent.

Sunday, June 12th, 2016, was a celebratory UW graduation dinner. I am so sorry to say that the Halibut was very dried out, overcooked, and a very small piece for the amont charged. The Ceasar salad had minimal dressing and the banana ice cream desert was way to large for the dinner desert. There was a celebratory cake ordered which the waiter did not bring, and the whole dinner came to 600.00. It was disappointing. I would not recommend this restaurant ever!

ENTRY The first thing we noticed when driving up was the stunning view and then the two nice gentlemen who welcomed us in with both doors open. This is a cool location and beautiful interior design, similar to Arnies in Edmonds. We had a reservation and were seated after just a short wait. However, as I was admiring the water display in the entry, I noticed two fish in the pond/stream floating belly up — not a pleasant sight right before my seafood dinner! SEATING/AMBIANCE Upon squeezing into a too-tight space for two and looking a bit displeased, the hostess asked if we wanted her to look for another table. It didn’t seem so bad after the guy whose chair was backed up against my date’s scooted in a bit and we didn’t want to cause any trouble. Later, upon looking around the room it did feel as thought they cram way more people in the restaurant than other classy seafood restaurants with a view. We could hear the entire conversation of the people at both the next table over and the one on the other side of them! Sadly, the hand-blown glass baubles on the glass on chandeliers were pretty but looked like they could use a dusting. And the self-playing piano was a nice touch but the way it was positioned didn’t make use of the acoustics in the beautiful room — you couldn’t really hear it with the number of people in the room having dinner conversations. DININGEXPERIENCE Dinner was good but the timing was way off. Our server even asked us if we wanted the salads and appetizer out before the seafood platter. Being that the table for two was so small and the plates so large, I don’t think we could have feasibly fit the dinner platter along with the app and salad plates! But the other person who brought out the food didn’t seem to notice and brought the dinner platter out about two bites into our app/salad course. He asked us quizzically if we were ready for the dinner platter and we had to shake our heads no since we had just taken literally our second bites of the first course! He attempted one more delivery of the main course before we finished our app/salads. At this point it was awkward. I literally had a pistachio in my chopsticks that I was still eating as the server took the salad plate off the table. I’ve never felt so rushed when eating at a fine dining establishment! FOOD We had the poke appetizer and beet salads, as well as the Seafood trio platter. The poke was probably some of the best I’ve had in Seattle and the beet salad was also very good. The brie with pesto was a nice touch in the arugula mix. The Copper River salmon in the trio dish was fresh and good but nothing to write home about. Scallops were good and fresh but the outsides were wrinkled and a little chewy because they probably sat under a heat lamp for 30 min while the server waited for us to finish our appetizer and salads. The lobster tail was disappointing to say the least. Maybe it’s because I was in Maine a month ago and had the best Atlantic lobster there, but it really seemed like the lobster in this dish was warm water lobster, similar to what I’ve had at major chain restaurants in the middle of the country. FACILITIES Restrooms are really outdated and not up to snuff with the rest of the restaurant. There is drab brown paint in the stalls that look like the originals from the 60s or 70s(with a bad repaint job in darker brown over the top) and there is a great need for better ventilation and/or air fresheners/candles/etc inside the stuffy space. OVERALL It seems like this restaurant has a great reputation and we must have come on a bad night. That, or the restaurant could really use some sprucing up around the edges to regain its past glory. I wanted the experience to be a lot more like Canlis for the prices on the menu and all the hype surrounding it. Unfortunately it is so far out of the way that I probably won’t be back here for a while without some persuading by a friend or date. I can find on-par or better seafood closer to downtown.

I’m super sad to have to give this restaurant two stars because I’ve been here a few times prior & had great experiences. Unfortunately, my recent experience at Palisades will be my last. I came here on a Monday for lunch on a beautiful day. My friend and I grabbed a seat outside to enjoy the sunshine. We were able to catch up while we waited for our food. After a good amount of talking, we realize an hour had passed and we still haven’t gotten our food. Another 15 min passes and our food comes out, finally. I’m eating the seafood Louie and enjoying the seafood until I all of a sudden find a piece of plastic in my mouth. I pull it out thinking it was a shell of a crab but nope. Sure enough, it was a corner of a plastic bag. I tell the waiters, and he sends me another order to-go. Dessert rolls around and my friend ordered the bread pudding. A good 5 min later, he pulls out a piece of plastic that looked like plastic wrap. I’m confused!!! Long story short, the servers/manager were very accommodating & took everything off our bill and offered us drinks but this incident unfortunately ruined it for me.

Great experience. I took my gf here for her birthday and they were excellent. Classic spot that lives up to the reputation. Crab cakes, Copper River salmon, the Seafood Trio… all recommended. The scallops were especially great.

We visited Palisade on Saturday for lunch. We had a big group(16 people), for our wedding rehearsal lunch. We arrived 15 minutes prior to our 12:30pm reservation and was seated right away. For the most part, service was good. However my biggest complaint was the amount of time between courses. Palisade offers a pre-fixe lunch menu and most of us ordered a starter, main course and a dessert — however it took so long between courses. I believe we waited at least 30 minutes between the clearing of our main course plates and the dessert plates to be brought out. We were there for almost 3 hours for lunch. The food itself was pretty good. I myself enjoyed the lobster bisque, seafood louie salad and bread pudding for my meal. I really enjoyed the salad but the bread pudding was a huge portion, but really dry. I would probably go back to Palisade again, but wouldn’t bring suggest it for a large group of over 10 people.

This is at good as it gets. The perfect dining experience. Compliments to the Chef on the amazing meals and the complimentary snapper collars. A most underrated dish and delicacy. The collar meat is rich and fatty in a good way. The chef sent 2 for free our way, no special reason other than to help spread the word that fish collars are so underrated. Please you must… must try! Our reservation was for 4 adults plus 1 child. Our server, Antonio, was spot on, flawless with his service, personality, demeanor and knowledge. Every server should achieve to be at his level. He was perfectly attentive, never intrusive and just polished at his work. In fact, I am taking my parents to Palisade in a month and I will be requesting his section. We started with the Dungeness crab and Lobster bisque. Spot on. Not too salty, not over seasoned. Just perfect. We also had the butternut squash soup as well, again, perfectly seasoned. perfect texture. Excellent! I ordered the wagyu flat iron steak. The lump of actual Dungeness crab meat that came with my steak was like… OMG! WHAAAT? The steak was so tender, and the hollandaise sauce was not super eggy or buttery like most of us expect it to be… sometimes it’s just too rich. Here it was done just right. the side asparagus was perfectly blanched and cooked. The perfect texture, enough bite and crunch but none of that raw asparagus flavor. you should start seeing a pattern here. The food is cooked right and seasoned appropriately. My wife ordered the colossal stuffed shrimp. Whatever the sauce was that they used… OMG! WHAAT? We licked the plate clean. Seriously. I’ve only heard about this restaurant… first time today and I am completely sold. I am a customer for life. Palisade and Antonio… you done good!

Palisade is one of the restaurant that I would return back to whenever I’m visiting Seattle. Service: The service is always superb. From the reservation receptionist to our server… Super helpful and nice! I arrived an hour earlier to the spot and were able to get in earlier with no hassles! Just in time to view the sunset. Ambience: Amazing view! One main reason why I visit this spot. I mentioned that this will be my girlfriend first time in Seattle and they put us at a central spot looking straight at Mt Rainier and Seattle downtown! Food: Delicious food. High quality ingredients. You can definitely taste the freshness from the seafood and the variety of spices they used. I loved that pan seared Sea scallop In short, definitely will be coming back!

Seriously amazing. From the view, to the service, to the view. Definitely worth a trip. To be fair, I went during Restaurant Week. Be sure to check out the pond that runs through the lobby area and the views all the way around the building. I had the most incredible salmon. It was amazing. And dessert was chocolate ganache. The service was excellent, the cocktails delicious, and the food amazing. I’ll definitely be coming back during the next restaurant week. There is complimentary parking but also a big lot you can park in. Ask for a spot by the window and hope that it’s not too gray outside. The views of Seattle and the Sound are incredible.

Great food, amazing views, nice atmosphere and on-point staff. It has been a few years since I have visited Palisades and I really enjoyed their food then. So I was elated that found a Groupon and thought I would check them out for lunch. I actually prefer lunch to dinner for a few reasons. First the views are much better, you can actually see the water and West Seattle, second it is quiet and relaxing not your full-on dinner rush and lastly prices are a bit cheaper and you can get a lot of food for the money. We ended up taking a bag home. This is really some of the best seafood that I have had in Seattle. The restaurant is tucked away in a quiet part of town which definitely makes you feel that you are nowhere near a large, busy city. The interior of Palisade is just about as nice as the views outside. Upon entering you are welcomed with a man-made waterfall and river that adds to the ambiance. The entire restaurant is open-air with some nice glass decorations that looks like they might have came from the Chihuly Garden and there is really no bad seating. The food was very good from the lobster bisque, California roll, to our fish which was the sole and salmon. Everything also had a delightful presentation. Great wine and drink selection added to the experience. Sure you are going to spend a bit for all of this, but it is definitely worth it. Palisades I am not going to stay away as long as I did before. Thankfully I have another Groupon.

4.5 stars. Pricey but delicious. Amazing outside view, amazing inside view(complete with a pond of fish), and amazing food. I’m not from the area so I made a reservation ahead of time. Dress nice or casual, either works– people were celebrating prom and others were in jeans. I loved the food. Prepare to spend $ 40-$ 50 per entrée. I got the seafood trio which included salmon, scallops, prawn, and a cauliflower purée. SO good. The free bread and butter was delicious, and my mojito was tasty as well. Definitely worth a visit. Service was great and my eyes and taste buds were satisfied.

I mean WOW. Okay, it took me years to make it to Palisade, but it was my fault for being judgmental and listening to a friend who said it was overrated. I don’t know where that was coming from. I was here for SRW with six other ladies recently, and everyone had an amazing experience. When I first walked up to the restaurant, there were two attendants up front who opened the door for me. When I got in, I was impressed right away — huge, beautiful, romantic space with gorgeous views of the marina, bustling with energy of servers on the move and guests having a good time. I noticed that guests didn’t really have much of a dress code. Some looked fancy, some looked very casual. We had a 7:45pm reservation, but a few in our party were late, and they didn’t seat us until enough of us were present. I don’t remember our server’s name, but she did a good job, although she seemed rather annoyed with us. We could tell she was forcing herself to be upbeat, but she came off a little rough. Maybe she’d had a long day and didn’t appreciate us being a bit giggly and distracted as she took our orders. I understand how we could’ve been annoying, but we were having a great time. It was a big party of girls who were there to catch up, and we didn’t mean to be impolite. The other staff members were really friendly, though. Food-wise, everything was stellar. I wanted to skip out on dessert, so I had two appetizers — the spicy ahi tartar and the crab and lobster bisque — and then the steelhead for my entrée. The ahi tartar was fresh and silky with a pleasant kick by way of the togarashi, which was balanced out by the coldness and creaminess of the avocado. Delicious! Every bite would melt in your mouth. The crab and lobster bisque was rich but still had that nice shellfish brininess. The steelhead was beautiful. It was served on top of a roasted corn and asparagus risotto. Fish was seasoned nicely, and all the flavors in the dish came together well! They also have an extensive wine menu! I already told my fiancé I’m taking him here for something romantic one day, so I’ll definitely be back.

This is simply a great upscale designed restaurant that provides a stunning marina view and creates delicious dishes that are meticulously prepared and beautifully presented. They even have a trout pond that you cross over as you are seated! This review is for Restaurant Week. I had the Shrimp and Pineapple salad, Ciopinno, and Chocolate Ganache Cake for food, and the Scratch Margarita and Eastside Elderflower for drinks. The salad contained tiny shrimp that are similarly found in the Costco freezer aisle, so it something to be desired. However, the Ciopinno MORE than made up for it! What a classic, scrumptious, and hearty dish. Dessert was quite literally a pan-mold of pure Chocolate Ganache – it was high brow frosting at its best, alongside creamy gelato. THISDESSERTISNOTFORTHEFAINTOFHEART. Lastly, the beverages were delicious. The margarita was what I expected, nothing more, nothing less. The Eastside was truly refreshing, and worthy of another visit – gin, elderflower liquer, crisp cucumber and muddled mint! Overall, the service was excellent, the view was excellent(definitely recommend making a reservation close to sunset!), and the experience was, well, excellent.

After one brunch and a dinner during Seattle restaurant week, I think it is time for a review. Palisade has definitely proved itself as one of the best restaurants in town. I don’t even need to begin talking about the view in this place. The endless mesmerizing beauty of the water, the boats right in front of the restaurant and downtown Seattle on your left are all what you cannot pass on. Big enough for a gathering of friends, romantic enough for a couple’s date night, Palisade can bring everyone together under the same roof. The interior is beautifully decorated. Modern and chic interior, slick design and courteous staff all add to the quality of this place. I have also sat at the bar waiting for my table to get ready and received as good of a service as at my table. On Sundays, there is a brunch buffet. Albeit expensive, it is definitely worth trying at least once. Imagine sitting right by the water, enjoying some very nicely cooked dishes along with bottomless mimosa, Palisade did not leave one tiny bit room for dissatisfaction. Sure enough, the Eggs benedict could have been better, or the dessert options could have been more, but it is a buffet we are talking about and it reminded me of the buffets in Las Vegas. I really enjoyed my time here. Came back a few nights ago for Restaurant week and to celebrate a friend’s birthday. In the middle of the week, the place was packed and although we had a booking, we had to wait for about 30 minutes to be seated. The menu was amazing, I am guessing the expectations are not as high for the restaurant week, but the chef had put together some surf and turf combinations. The menu comprised different variety of dishes and that was a big plus to me. I ordered a lobster bisque and braised short ribs. For dessert, I ordered the chocolate ganache. The lobster bisque was everything I had in mind, rich in flavor and tasty, garnished with some croutons and fish roe, I devoured the whole dish. My partner got the Spicy ahi tartar which was served with some crispy wantons and was just as good. The braids short rib was so well cooked that it would just melted in my mouth. Some of my friends’ dishes were a little bit more salty according to them, but I was lucky to get a good plate. All the flavors were right on. The dessert was almost like the chocolate decadence from molten cakery and was served with a scoop of ice cream, a little bit too rich to be finished by one person, but tasted really good. Our waiter(shout out to Michael) was also nice enough to get us separate checks even though we were a party of 12 and sometimes restaurants are not willing to do that. Overall, I have been really satisfied with the restaurant so far. Will definitely come back for more. Maybe during the next restaurant week.

Went here for SRW and was not impressed. The ambiance was great with amazing views of the water and marina. I had the shrimp salad, braised short ribs, and chocolate ganache. The shrimp salad was excellent and was probably the best shrimp salad I’ve ever had. The rest of the meal went downhill from there. The braised short rib with polenta were OK but nothing worth mentioning. The only thing good about the chocolate ganache was the pistachio ice cream that came with it. The ganache itself was pretty bad and tasted like a rich fudge. My friend had the pork belly, steelhead, and cake. It was better than my meal, but not by much. In summary, Palisade is a place that serves the basics, you won’t find anything too creative on your plate. The food was edible but at that price point, I would expect more. The ambiance and service are what gives this overpriced, mediocre food a 3 star rating.

This restaurant is great for date nights, friends gathering, or a just-because dinner. The restaurant is very spacious, and if you are lucky(or reserve your seats early) you can sit right by the water, overlooking the needle right from where you dine! The service here deserved a five-star. I came here with friends on a Saturday night. They were so popular so we had to wait for a while. When we sat down, our waitress immediately came to greet us. She was very welcoming and she made good recommendations for food and wine. She also recommended some desserts but we were too full. The food, though, was the reason why I gave it only a four-star. The food wasn’t bad. Don’t take me wrong, but don’t expect to get the most bang for your buck at this restaurant because most of your money probably goes toward the service and the interior design. I still enjoyed my dinner here, and next time when I need to show off Seattle’s gorgeous skyline with seafood on the side, I’ll still come here!

This is one of the best places to go for the food, ambience and view. It is right on the marina. Make sure to bring your camera with you if you go. It has its own parking lot as well. I love coming here for happy hour for their food and drinks. I highly recommend the oven roasted crab cakes. Very little filler and lots of crab. The apple jicama slaw adds enough sweetness to balance out the saltiness of the tarragon mustard aioli. Also the warm crab and lobster dip is a nice comfort food since it is thick and creamy with chunks of crab and lobster with a side of macrina bread for dipping. I have also been here for programs and I have to admit, they do their seafood better than their steaks. Love the dessert here. I’ve had the best sorbet here which was a combination of guava and passion fruit.

A place of many memories! This is my goto place for client lunches, friend’s birthdays, my moms birthday, brother’s, even my own birthday! They have their chefs and menu changed over the years but I still enjoy the food. Lunch~ used to love their magnolia lunches. And that view can’t be beat! It’s always peaceful to dine here. Dinner~ I’ve had my 21st birthday here! As well as my 19th birthday !! Both were great. Large group of us had a fantastic time dining. I also had my birthday dinner here last year and it was much quieter but still fun. The crowd changed and it’s so much quieter, slower paced now. Love the seafood platters, seafood and steak. Steak dishes were a ok for me. I like the lunch dishes much more. It’s lighter! Also the peacefulness. The chef even let me tasted some dishes he was trying it out at times! What else can you ask for! My favorite is the chicken! They make great chicken here! The views can’t be beat! And we still come here for family birthdays each year. The service used to be amazing. Now it’s a ok even for birthdays. I guess they get busy! Wouldn’t stop me from coming back anyways! So many memories are made here.
