Office Depot

Standard office depot, but I found the employees to be a bit rude and not too eager to help. We were looking for a new office chair and in order to get someone to help us out we had to track the guy down and interrupt him from inventory because there was literally no one else to be found in the middle of a Saturday afternoon. Also, we looked at 3 different chairs and each was out of stock so our trip was largely a waste of time. Luckily, they offer free 3 day delivery online so we were able to go home and order the chair we liked best.

Office depot for your office supply needs… Need I say more.

Best part of my visit was the employee who made it a point to say that they had the Office Space (film) stapler. I was inches away from buying one before I was pulled away. Maybe next time stapler… maybe next time.

Stay away from this place!!! They do have great employees here, but if you need help in the copying area make sure Cory is not working. I believe he is new because I have not seen him there before. One of the laziest employees. I have been coming here for copies for months and he is the first person who has made me do it all myself. I am bringing my stuff to you so you will do it. That’s why I spend over $ 50 dollars for someone else to do it. He then proceeds to give me my finished laminated copies and it is the laziest work I have ever seen. I know what good work should look like because I’ve had it done before, so please don’t give me some BS story that this is the best you can do. He really didn’t want to fix it after I was so unhappy.
I don’t want to give crappy work to my clients. Needless to say, I will never be back because of him.

TERRIBLE customer service. Employee #1 was friendly yet completely ineffectual; employee #2 was surly, employees #3, 4, and 5 were more interested in talking to each other and dropping (loud) F-​bombs than helping customers… Note I’m up to 5 on staff here at the time and yet getting any help was a real struggle. All I had to do was copy some papers (self-​serve) and ship them. Copier ran out of paper and I had to ask 3 times for someone, anyone to just give me some paper and I’d load it myself. Then shipping (after standing at the counter for some minutes waiting for two guys to conclude their loonnnggg conversation RIGHT in front of me) was a cluster-​you-​know-​what out of an absurdist dystopian satire. I have an account and took over most of the transaction myself just to save time — so they were like, «So you’re not gonna need anything else from us, right?» as they walked away… Then I had to take my package myself to the PO ten blocks away. I know it’s probably not all that fun a place to work, but U Village does a much friendlier (if not very much faster) job of helping. I will make the trip down there from now on because this branch is really, truly awful.

I went to buy a glass desk and the box sounded like a rain stick when it was picked up. The guy «checked» it and assured me it was just screws. My hands are cut and there is broken glass all over my carpet. I’m in disbelief at the blatent negligence to sell broken glass. I don’t even know how I’m going to get this back there. Definetely never going here again.

I recently had a great experience at this Office Depot. I ordered something online to be picked up at the store. When I arrived they had no record of my order but the manager went out of his way to make it right, making sure I got the merchandise I needed and that I was not charged twice. This was only my second trip to this particular Office Depot, but on both occasions I’ve been very impressed with the service.

Our inkjet printer finally gave up the ghost and we needed a printer immediately. We went to the business Costco and were surprised that they only had two in the entire place. Go there if you want restaurant supplies though, they got you covered there. Then a trip to Best Buy which had loads of printers but none that we really liked. My husband looked online at what Office Depot had to sell and within a half hour, we were back home with our new laser printer.
They have an entire parking lot so finding a space was easy. We didn’t have problems finding what we needed so I can’t really comment on the floor staff. The cashier was friendly. I usually buy my office stuff online but if I needed to physically look at something or buy it immediately, I’d come here with no question.

Office Depot is generally like what you might call the RadioShack of office supplies. Hopefully the recent merger will help them out.

I often found it was easier just to try and find things in the store myself. associates are usually too much help or not enough help. Or they rush up on ya upon entering.

Apprehension. Then bewilderment and the depths of despair — emotions that accompany me moments before and upon walking into any Office Depot store, or Bubba’s Big Bong World to meet my online date for the first time.
The place is huge and stocked with many lines of products, though they don’t specialize in any one thing (the Office Depot philosophy). This has been my go-​to Office Depot for years, and service here has ranged from friendly and helpful to brain dead to utterly angstful. Think Munch’s character in «The Scream» surrounded by staplers that get stuck and covered with irate Post-​it notes, while drowning in an ocean of multi-​colored rubber bands, thumb tacks and styrafoam balls.
In recent years, Office Depot has tried hard to compete with online retailers, by offering incentive programs, such as membership rewards or $ 10 off if you take an online survey of Yousef, your service rep, who asks you how your days going as he rings up your $ 150.00 purchase. «Expensive,» you say, instead of the usual, «Not bad.»
Things here are more expensive than online retailers, and nowadays most office supplies can be purchased online. But in a pinch, for basic office stuff, the Depot ain’t bad.

if where not for Gabriel, Renne and most of the staff at office depot I would not be able to advertise my business with photo copies, I really liked the customer service and help I get that I seriously not get anywhere else… other places they charge to get files from the computer of fix your files… I love office depot photo copies department because they help you a lot.

I’ve purchased computers, printers, office chairs, the usual office supplies, software, even office snacks like cashews and other knick knacks. The selection is unmatched compared to places like Fred Meyer, although I have noticed they are in cahoots with certain very large computer and electronic companies, ergo, why do they not carry Kodak printers? Why are there no more ink refill kits? I know the reasons, both of which HP and Epson are behind, but I won’t go into that here. I would be a little more leery of the office chairs they put on sale, and definitely won’t be buying any more cheapy-​for-​creepy floor mats that cut like a razor on the bottom (those little spikes) and start to crack and protrude sharp edges after a few months.
I always like the little things like individualized service and free paper with every printer purchase. That’s right. It’s actually cheaper for me to buy a new printer than to refill the ink in my old Officejet 4500 – although, I will probably upgrade to a laser printer next time. I find the Canon printers more affordable, and definitely the ink is more affordable than either Epson or HP, both of which I will not support.
I can usually find a good desktop PC in the $ 250 — $ 400 range, and I usually upgrade every three to five years. The location isn’t too far from home, and it’s nice to be able to run here if I need a new hard drive at 8:52 in the evening or some other non-​Fred Meyer electronic item.

I’m a complete pen whore! Red, blue, black, purple, roller ball, ballpoint, felt tip, you name it, I want it. I’m also a recovering paper addict — card stock, scrapbook, stationary, it all makes me crazy. You would think Office Depot would be a dream come true. Meh, not so much.
The selection is good. However, the staff may not necessarily know where or even what it is. On my last trip there, I asked where the protractors were. The woman who helped me laughed. Literally laughed. AND she had no idea what it was. *sigh*
The sales are the best thing, particularly around September for back-​to-​school shopping. You can find great deals like Sharpies for 99 cents, printer paper for $ 2.99, and crayons for just pennies.
In addition to sale items, the clearance bin is full of great deals. Other than that, the prices are okay, but nothing to write home about.
The staff is friendly enough but they are slow. Slow. The last time I was there I stood in the check-​out line for an inordinate amount of time. It took me 4 minutes to drive there and 11 minutes to check out with 2 customers in front of me, each at a register being checked out, and a handful of things to buy. Slow.
Parking is plentiful and the location is convenient, right on Aurora Avenue.
Good for your mainstream, bulk items (they know what pens and paper are) but anything else, no so much.

I went here today in a hurry to purchase some raffle tickets. I was pleasantly surprised by the cleanness of this place — it was very well put together, kept very organized, and was clearly well taken care of. A man helped me find the raffle tickets immediately after we arrived which was very nice of him. Got out of there quickly and easily! Good time.

I enjoy shopping at this Office Depot because the manager is top notch, as well as all the other staff. EVERYONE is always smiling and very helpful … and patient.

Will never return even if I was paid to! Worst customer service I have ever experienced. Ever. I walked in with a return and stood in line for 5 minutes, there were two employees behind the counter not doing a thing. I knew they saw me and did not move. The store was completely empty. There was one customer being helped off to the side. The assistant manager came over and with the most annoyed tone said «can I help you?» So I told him that I had a return and he paused for about 10 seconds, as if deciding to do his job or not, than said «uhm yeah sure go over there» pointing to the counters. So I walked to the counter and put my printer on the counter and handed him the extended warranty paperwork I had purchased. He stared at the paper like it was an alien and than said «uhh what are you wanting me to do? It’s passed the return date» The man I had bought the printer from and the extended warranty explained to me that with the warranty I could return passed the 14 day policy no matter what and that the warranty covered accidental problems with the printer like if I were to spill coffee on it. Which happened to my last. He had a smirk on his face the entire time I was talking to him. he said «yeah, well thats not what you got. You just got a warranty.» So I asked him specifically what was covered with the warranty and he just kept telling me it was a warranty and did not cover anything that was accidental, just if the printer itself broke. So the EXACT same thing the printer itself came with from HP! Instead of giving me the return for a product that had only been taken out of the box and than put back in the box he wouldn’t do anything but give me in store credit. I happen to know it would take 1 button to put the return through and I paid with cash so even easier! I work in sales with an absolute no refund policy and yet, we can still give returns with that button!
I would have understood a no return if the printer had been used in any way, but it was not. It has been in the box for 1 month.

Office Depot is the biggest joke of a store! I cannot believe they are able to sell such bull ****! I will never ever in a million years recommend this place to anybody!

This office depot is awesome! The manager saved my life! I bought a brand new hp printter on clearance, and it happen ed to be defective out of the box. I didn’t have the packaging and brought it to exchange well out of date. They didn’t have one in stock, being clearance, so they sent me to the University District, who refused to do it. I finally decided I would just buy a new one and mentioned the story to the manager while looking at a new nicer model. He was insistent that I should be able to have a working printer right away instead of having to go through hp directly, so he let me exchange the defunct one for the nicer one I really wanted!

This is a review for Office Depot on 4^th and Pike. Excellent attention for my rush job emergency business cards. 1000 times better than Kinkos. Great value: for 200 biz cards: $ 25.

This Office Depot is not my fave. I stopped in here to buy some magnets for my classroom. Now, one would think that magnets would be an item routinely stocked, asked about, sought after item, considering this is an office supply store.
Well, after about 5 minutes of walking around aimlessly, I decided to seek out an employee to help me in my quest. Mind you, no one greeted me or asked me «Do you need any help?» by this point… Also not encouraging. Finally, I tracked down a guy who looked distracted but offered to help.

«Excuse me, do you carry magnets?»
«Uh, yeah, I think…» he replies, radioing on his walkie, asking his fellow co-​workers. After 3 walkie-​talkie attempts and zero reply he shrugs.
I continue to follow him through about 5 aisles unsuccessfully.
Finally he asks another employee who isn’t helping anyone — yet strangely enough did not reply to the walkie-​talkie magnet-​plea. «Oh yeah, over there,» he grumbles without looking up. I am them directed to an adhesive-​magnet station where there is nothing but stick-​on flat magnets. (sigh). Inevitably there is a tiny section, but it was pithy and pathetic. I’ve never been disappointed at an Office Depot until now. Sad to say but I’ll probably never be back here again, when I know better customer service is available elsewhere. I probably should’ve just gone to Staples across the street…

Although I am an office supply nerd, there is no way I would normally write a review of an office supply store. Even I know that much. But my recent trip to Office Depot was so unusual that I felt compelled to share it here.
I’ve been searching far and wide for a shredder for my home, since my credit card company enjoys sending me applications three or four times a week (seriously) with my name and address typed prominently all over them. I didn’t want to pay too much, because, well, I just didn’t, but I did want one that does the diamond-​cut shredding rather than the little strips of paper. Recon missions to Target and Staples proved fruitless, so I had just let it go until I noticed that my stack of to-​shred junk mail was taller than my Xmas tree. Something needed to be done.
I went to Office Depot without very high expectations, never having gotten great service at their stores before. But as soon as I walked in, a friendly greeter asked me if he could help me find anything. I told him I needed a shredder, and he started to walk me over to that aisle (rather than just pointing vaguely at the back of the store), then remembered that they had some on clearance and took me over there first. He knew their prices, shredding capacity, and whether they shredded in cross-​cut or strips. I picked out one that fit my needs, which was only $ 15 on clearance, walked right over to the register, and was out of there in less than five minutes. Amazing.
When you want to shop like a dude — walk straight to the aisle you want, get one thing, and leave — Office Depot totally has your back. Consider Office Depot for all your diamond-​cut shredder needs!
