Awesome fish and chips. Some of the best I’ve had. Good fish, delicious crispy batter, all the necessary trimmings(malt vinegar, house-made tartar sauce). Chips/fries were top notch. Dipped them in some of their ketchup which appeared to be made in-house as well. Mushy peas added a nice balance to the meal, and kept me from feeling yucky after eating so much fried stuff. I had no idea what they would taste like, and I have no idea what they SHOULD taste like, but they were cold(I expected them to be warm), super fresh-tasting, and a bit minty.

The best fish and chips I’ve ever had! This place is amazing. They have awesome tartar sauce… And I normally don’t care for tartar sauce. So delicious. Eat it whenever I hit up the Fremont farmers market.

Came here on a wet Saturday. No line up which was really nice! The service seemed a little distracted when they were taking our order, maybe because they hadn’t been so busy(on account of the rain). Anyways we ordered the deep fried rabbit with a side of fries. The fries were amazing! super crispy, and lots of sea salt. The rabbit itself was fried up pretty well and a generous portion. The flavour itself wasn’t anything special. The batter was salty which was what I expected, the meat tender, and with the fries it was a tasty combination

Their food truck is always a treat for me. Been going for about a year now. Best Fish and Chips in Seattle. Everything is good, down to the fries and ketchup.

I randomly came across Nosh while lurking on Unilocal one day and filed it away for a later trip — but checked out their menu and found that they would be at the Fremont Sunday Market that week along with a bunch of other food trucks. I’m a huge fan of food trucks(back when I lived in Chicago, I visited them at least 4 – 5 times a week for lunch) and haven’t been to one in a while, so I was super excited to try the food here. We showed up around 2:15(they were scheduled to be there 10am-4pm that day) and it was pretty busy, but the line moved quickly. After ordering, we waited maybe 10 – 15 minutes for our food. I overheard the guy in the truck saying that they were close to selling out of some items at that point, so try to show up early, lest your entrée of choice be sold out! I had to try the fish and chips because everyone raves about them, and my boyfriend went with the fried rabbit. The fish and chips was amazing — huge piece of fish, perfectly battered and fried, and the tartar sauce was a hit. I thought the peas were interesting and pretty tasty, but my boyfriend wasn’t a fan. He also thought the rabbit was too dry, which is the main reason I’m going with four stars instead of five here. The fish and chips, IMO, is definitely worth five.

My experience with Nosh was great. The guys at the truck were super friendly as well! Definitely a plus. We got the rabbit and the fish & chips. The fish and chips were great! The fish was fried really well with the perfect amount of batter(not always the case with fish and chips, of course). Did not skimp on the amount of actual fish meat used. The fries were okay. I enjoyed the peas that came with it — definitely fresh and light — a good contrast to the heaviness of the other components. The rabbit was interesting! First time eating rabbit meat. However, it was a bit dry, so we both liked the fish and chips better. Perhaps that’s just what rabbit meat is like. A bit expensive, but definitely worth a try!

this is the BEST fish and chips i have had. i have never had the mushy peas, but i am now a fan, it comes with 1 large piece of fish, side of mushy peas, and chips. The fish is battered and fried to perfection. My mouth is watering just thinking about it.

Best fish and chips ever! I had NOSH today for the first time and I was impressed. The fish was so fresh and the fries were so good. Definitely going to stalk NOSH from now on!

I first discovered Nosh Food Truck serving outside of Hellbent Brewing in Lake City. My friend and I chatted with the guys working for a while while we 1) decided upon what to eat(we opted to branch out and try their fried rabbit– SOTASTY– and their bone marrow– DOUBLYSOTASTY except that there wasn’t enough– and then came back later to try their fish & chips) and 2) waited for our food. The staff is so nice, they’re lovely and wonderful and give fantastic recommendations. If you want to try authentic British fish & chips, then look no further than tracking down Nosh. You need to order these. I miss fish & chips, after having them in England a few years ago, and Nosh gave me what I was missing. The mashed peas, the crispiness of the fish, the chips. Everything. All the time. Get it. Seriously. But, if fish & chips aren’t your thing you will not regret trying the rabbit. I loved it. It was crispy, and the meat was tender. The cabbage was so excellent with the rabbit. If you want to really step out and try something new, try the bone marrow. The crustini, the slaw, so good! I told my friend that now I really understand why dogs like chewing on bones, bone marrow? Super tasty, fyi. But really, if you want to do Nosh properly, you should really just order everything. Really. You can’t go wrong with their menu.

Oh.My.God. Ran across your truck the other day and thought I’d give the fish & chips a try after reading all the rave reviews. Boy am I glad I did! PERFECTION. I now hunt down your truck and stalk you regularly. Thank you for being.

BESTFISH&CHIPS! FOOD: I’ve only had their fish and chips but after 1 bite… You will be hooked!!! You’ll have to try it for yourself. I love fish and chips and had plenty from different places and this one wins it all! SERVICE: People are friendly and appreciate their customers. They get to know their regulars. PRESENTATION: I love that they use the newspaper print. The color of the truck is great and works well. LOCATION: Since it is a food truck it moves around but their website is very informative of where there are. They post for the week so you can plan days before! Would I come back? Of course. ADVICE: Fish and Chips!!!

Okay, so I’ve never had fish and chips in England, but I can tell you this — this is, by far, my favorite fish and chips I’ve ever had! I can’t think of any fish and chips that I’ve had before that is comparable to Nosh’s. Not only do you get a fish filet that is not too breaded yet is perfectly seasoned, you get extra crispy handcut fries with sea salt and mashed peas that taste similar to a chutney. It’s easy to share since the portion is large, but you won’t want to. They even have their own homemade tartar sauce, which of course, just completes the meal. And, it’s only 10 bucks, which is well worth more.

First time I laid eyes on the Nosh truck was at the Ballard seafood festival. I’ve been on a pretty solid fish and chips kick over the summer so was very excited to see they had it. Initially, I was disappointed that for $ 10+tip you only get one strip of fish, and hardly any fries. Granted, it’s a relatively big strip. but my strip was still smaller than what my friend got right after me. so I was feeling a little sour on that as well. The food itself tasted pretty damn good tho. I personally prefer this style of batter for fish and chips, and the fish was tender and delicious. The six fries that I got were good, nothing mind blowing put perfectly fine. They are the softer, limp and greasy fries if you are into that. Thicker cut than Dick’s fries and not quite as limp. The mushy peas were a nice surprise. I normally don’t like peas at all, but these worked. I ate them all. Tartar sauce was good, I don’t like the sweet tartar and this was not sweet. Overall the food experience was solid, however the portion sizes were a little bit of a let down. I would definitely eat the fish and chips again though, and next time I’m trying the rabbit for sure(I was so laser focused on fish and chips the first time I didn’t even consider the possibility of any other food item) Glad to hear they are now going to be at Hellbent regularly

I love fish & chips. I don’t eat it too often — but when I do I usually want the English style batter(if I want breaded fish — I love Totem). Around the sound so many places have moved to panko coating on their fish. I am not a fan. The panko becomes TOO crisp and it can be like eating shards of glass. So I have been trying to find some good battered fish. So I was looking forward to trying the Nosh truck. The hubby and I were at the Fremont Farmers market and I gave it a try. The fish is 5STARS. More like 6STARS! Fantastic. Crisp batter. Moist fish. Big portion. Wonderful tartar sauce. Unfortunately I did not care for the fries. They were limp and not fully cooked. They needed another minute or two in the fryer. And the peas were too minty for me. But the fish will keep me coming back!

I had the fried rabbits when the truck was parked at the Olympic Sculpture Park during Summer at the SAM. I was rather disappointed. Perhaps the weather was simply too hot to warrant fried food that day but I didn’t particularly enjoyed the fried rabbit. Maybe rabbit is too lean to be fried? The pickled purple cabbage was nice but when served with fries, the whole order just seems like too much fried food. I wonder if I would have enjoyed it more if the rabbit was serviced over the pickled cabbage and a bed of arugula salad? Perhaps even a potato salad would have been a better side to the fried rabbit? Or candied yam? It’s sad because I have wanted to try Nosh for a while now. But the fried rabbit was a let down. I packed half of it home and ate it later without much thought. The more food trucks that I have eaten at, the more convinced I am that food trucks are not free from the principles of what makes a good entrée. Unless it’s an item like fish and chips with is rooted in tradition and everything the sides that are served with the item still has to harmonize and make the main protein shine. In the case of the fried rabbit, with a fried item over another fried item just seem boring when you already have fish and chips on the menu.

If you get one thing to try from Nosh, let it be their infamous fish ‘n’ chips. It stands out as one of the best in the city — and it’s coming from a food truck! Fresh out of the fryer, the piece of cod is given a light and crispy exterior, while the fish itself soft and buttery. The batter isn’t excessively oily and doesn’t overpower the freshness of the fish. As for their french fries — they are unlike anything I’ve encountered before! The inside of each fry mimics a smooth mashed potato filling. Pair the fish ‘n’ chips together with Nosh’s homemade tartar, and you’ve got a match made in heaven. I wasn’t quite a fan of the mushy peas; a little too far on the minty side, and an interesting texture. Regardless, Nosh is worth every ounce of buzz.

The quality of the fish and chips was outstanding. Although you technically get one fish strip I am happy they do not advertise this as the size is equal to at least 3 elsewhere. The flavor is incredible, very fresh and great portion of fish with lighter breading. The fries are enjoyable and serve the purpose. The tartar was freshly made and full of true flavor. The line was huge at Gasworks but was an acceptable wait for the huge crowds being served. What was a major let down though is on the menu they very clearly say all credit cards accepted. When I went to pay with an American Express the cashier was clearly upset. She asked if I had any other cars to pay with and I checked and said no. She said are you sure and I showed her my phone case where I keep my cards. I specifically stood in line because the menu said all cards. The cashier said she would go ahead and take the card and acted like I was stealing from her or did something wrong. If you do not want to accepted Amex that is your right but do not say you accept it– which you do– and then embarrass a client paying you for having this card. I watched the cashier while I waited for my food and the first thing she does is studies the brand of every card very closely. No other Amexs were used so I do not know her reaction to them. The payment experience left a bad impression of how they treat people and for that I would not return again even despite the incredible food.

If you like your fish and chips very crispy and light, then Nosh has just what you’re looking for. I had been looking for the aforementioned fish and chips in Seattle for years. Most places have batter that is too thick. Finally, I tried Nosh at the Fremont Sunday Market and it was exactly what I had been looking for. BEST fish and chips ever! The tartar sauce was also amazing. Did not care much for the peas(too minty) but who cares, it’s all about the fish and chips!!!

Fish n chips were SOOOOODELICIOUS! Didn’t care too much for the peas. Actually, I didn’t like how it tasted but not a deal breaker. The fish tho, it’s HUGE! I’m sad they won’t be coming to downtown anymore. I still want to try the fried rabbit!

Nosh hits the spot with the best Fish and Chips I’ve ever had. Seriously. Who ever is working their fryer is a serious wizard. Nosh’s Fries are some magic combination of crisp and soft that doesn’t belong in either category but crosses the borders into Fry Nirvana. The Fish was perfect, crisp, light and buttery. I’m sure the peas are traditional but I wouldn’t miss them if they weren’t there. The Fried Rabbit is a interesting delicacy. But I think they should have a Bone in disclaimer. The Caprese Sandwich replaced Bone Marrow for me since they were out of the Marrow. And boy were we lucky. This is one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had! Sweet tomato, salty prosciutto, basil aioli, all on perfectly and I mean perfectly toasted Macrina Bread. My only comment is that I wish the ingredients were closer to room temperature than fridge temperature. Combine all of this with a cute easy to read menu and very reasonable prices and you get the Best Food Truck I’ve ever tired!
