OMG. This was the best gyro I have ever had! Saw this place a few weeks ago and have been meaning to try it and ended up grabbing dinner here last night real quick. Location: located across the street from Bartell’s on the main street of Magnolia where all the shops are. I parked on the street. I ordered: — gyro wrap(had beef and lamb, feta, lettuce, the yogurt sauce, and I think onions? Can’t remember but I do remember it being delicious!) I think around $ 6 — zucchini fries Lots of outdoor seating, and plenty of seating indoors as well. You order at the counter, they give you a number and they bring your food out to you. Water is self serve to the right of the cashier. Ok, now to the food. The meat was hot and looked like it had been seared on the grill, it was amazing! Veggies were fresh, and just enough sauce on the wrap to make it delicious. I feel like this place is as authentic as it gets with real Greek background. Any who, if you are around the area give this place a try! Really good prices too:)

The best Greek food in the city, hands down. Must trys are roasted lamb gyro, and the Greek fries. Get your hands on a bottle of their secret sauce! I put it on salads and sandwiches!

I love this place, makes you feel like you are in Greece. Try the retsina(Greek wine), it’s excellent!

Three stars because Niko’s is inconsistent. We’ve been regulars for the past six years, rotating mostly between the Kalamari dinner, traditional gyros, avgolemono soup and keftedes(Greek Meatballs). With the exception of the gyros(and these are why I give 3 stars and not 2), all the other dishes have varied from visit to visit and not always in a good way. The avgolemono soup we had at lunch today was the last straw. It was watered down with zero seasoning and absolutely no lemon flavor. On previous visits, it’s always been thick with a pronounced lemon tang. Regarding the other dishes: the kalamari have ranged from perfectly cooked to rubbery mess. The first couple of times I ordered the keftedes the interior was slightly pink and the meatball deliciously juicy. On subsequent visits they ranged from just ok to overcooked and dry. One final note: I see there are varied opinions about consistency. If all you order is gyros, you may never experience this issue.

There aren’t very many good Greek places that I’ve found in the Seattle area but this place is fantastic. It was recommended to me by a friend and definitely worth a trip to magnolia for. The café is small with quite a few tables both inside and outside. It’s clean and busy. The menu on the board is clear and the staff expects you to order fast and move on to the next person. There are no fountain drinks, grab from the cooler or grab a pitcher of water nearby. The food is fantastic. It’s served quickly from the kitchen you can see. It’s fresh tasting and delicious. I had a traditional gyro which is lamb and beef. The pita is soft and the feta fresh. We also ordered fries with feta and they were waffle fries which are arguably the best type of fry. Because I love Greek food I had to try the spanakopita. Delicious! I will definitely go back when I’m in the neighborhood. Worth a trip for sure!!!

A constant favorite for for nearly six years! Nikos always has tasty Greek fare in Seattle’s Magnolia neighborhood. Today it was so worth the drive from work in Lynnwood for a late Saturday lunch. Highly recommend the gyros, avgolemeno, souvlaki, spanakopita… actually you could pick just about anything and it will be delicious and satisfying.

I’ve been coming here for I think about 10 years and it is consistently good Greek food. Owned/run by a local family who cares about their community and shows it through the care they put into their dishes. It’s a welcoming place where you feel like you’re eating with friends. My kids typically get the Gyros but I try to order off the Specials Board for something unique. And don’t forget the baklava for dessert — often overlooked, they do it very well! I gave 5 stars but the atmosphere could use a freshen up. I actually don’t care but trying to make sure Unilocal’ers have a clear pic.

So delcious. Came during the lunch rush and the atmosphere was calming. I personally didn’t feel rushed.(: Their menu is extensive and even without the table service(you order at the bar and they give you a number to place at your table), it still has class. Will defiantly come back from gyros. :3

Wonderful family owned Greek restaurant. My meals at Niko’s over the years have consistently been fresh, flavorful, and generously portioned. The food is excellent, reasonably priced, and the staff treats you like family. Well worth the trip even if you arent in the Magnolia area.

OMGOMGOMG!!! Best Greek food! My family is obsessed with this place, especially my son who recently turned 5 years old. Every year he requests Nikkos for his birthday lunch(well he actually requests to eat here several times a week, but that’s another issue) He gets his usual side of gyro meat and pitta bread with tzatziki sauce … We pop some candles in that pitta bread, sing happy birthday and we have one super happy kiddo! I personally love the lamb souvlaki Greek salad and the classic Gyro — it’s really all good tho and the price point is awesome. Really amazing value for such top notch food. Oh and how could I forget about the lovely family that runs it — Nikko, Alex, and the uncle(whose name I will not even attempt to spell !) are all the best — so so kind… We love them all

This small, family run restaurant is the hidden gem of Magnolia. Great food at excellent prices, for eat in or take out. The staff are wonderful and friendly, and the atmosphere is homey. Beyond the typical(but super great!) gyros and souvlaki with which I’m familiar in Greek cuisine, I highly recommend the avgolemono soup. This magical combination of chicken, rice, and lemon makes for a perfect meal when you’re not feeling well(or really anytime — I always get it). Wine, beer, and other non-alcoholic beverages are available for your take-out purchase, which is an added bonus.

Niko’s reminds me of the little hole in the wall Greek places you find in NYC and along the northeast corridor: family pictures on the wall, lots of greek pride, small kitchen right up front, family owned and very reasonably priced. The falafel with added feta was delicious– just the right amount of sauce so I wasn’t spilling it all over the plate, but enough to make the falafel nice and moist. And not too heavy on the onions. Basically, perfect. My boyfriend loved the lamb shank. The meat peels right off the bone and looked delicious. Pretty sure I got a good 15 minutes of dead silence from him while he devoured it. This place seems popular with families, so if you aren’t a big fan of kids, probably best to get it to go.

Delicious. This family-run restaurant is great for both dine in and take out. You order at the counter, and they have quite the extensive menu! Some family faves are the gyros, the greek salad with lamb souvlaki, the avgolemono soup, and the greek fries with feta. Yum!

Great Gyro and fries for a great price. Local family owned(I think) also gives it a good feel.

This place has great Greek food!!! I wish I came here more often. I love their Greek fries and their gyros! It makes me happy just thinking about this cute restaurant! My Personal Restaurant Rating Key One star: the food was bad and I had a negative experience. Two star: I had a more negative experience and would not come here again but the food was good so I may. Three store: Everything is good except one thing. Example-the food is good, the price is more reasonable but the atmosphere is lacking class. Or the food is good, the atmosphere is good, but they over charged us. These three stars are actually my favorite types of restaurants to go eat at if the reason is due to the atmosphere because they are usually delicious and reasonably priced. Four stars: Everything is great, food and experience. However the price is definitely on the upper end. I would not recommend this first to Obama unless he didn’t like my five stars. These are restaurants you can take your boss or your mother-in-laws to impress them, however they still don’t fit into the five star category. A bit fancier than my three stars, hence I don’t often eat here unless there is an occasion for it or there is a groupon that gives me a bit of a discount! Five stars: I would recommend this to Obama. The price may be on the upper end but the experience and the taste is so exquisite, it is actually worth every nickel and dime.

Awesome food. Real food. Meats aren’t sodium loaded and you can tell the quality is high. You’re not biting through chewiness but rather the Gyro just melts in your mouth. I’ve ate at other Gyro places like Mr. Gyros and Aladdins in UDist but this one is my go to. The portion may look modest but I will tell you it is very filling when the quality is high and the meat is dense but not chewy. I’ve eaten the Gyro sandwich here, the rice pudding, the dolmades, the chicken charbroiled pesto plate, the gyro plate, and I keep coming back for more. I also recommend Sunset Gyro in Renton if you’re ever down there, that’s how I found out about Niko’s here. Thanks Alex!

Great to see Niko at the helm yesterday, as always, and run into Alex bussing tables furiously during the busy lunch hour… terrific lunch with my brother and wife visiting from Ormond Beach, Florida. See you soon, y’all!!!

Cute little local joint, homey and inviting. I am a huge fan. Delicious food, funny friendly owner. I highly recommend the chicken gyro. It’s just as delicious as my favorite local gyro shop. Having never been to Greece, I would not be able to say whether it’s one of the best in the world, but I would definitely say one of the best on the west coast. Great food, great experience, highly recommended.
