Neko Case @ Bumbershoot 2015

I like alternative country like Wilco and later Counting Crows, however, for some reason I can’t get into Neko Case. I feel that every time I admit this out loud a hipster dies, I saw 20 minutes of her set to make enough of a constructive analysis. She has an amazing voice, her band is tight but as an actual person I find it hard to connect with her. Her stage banter was stiff and she struggled to make a connection with the rest of the audience. Her lyrics are just awful. The combination of the two makes me the black sheep of the indie world. The audience were really into it but weren’t rocking out.
