Neil Stephens Get Fit

Neil is an excellent personal trainer. He is able to customize a workout tailored to my specific needs and sports injuries. He makes the workouts at just the right intensity level and pace. He also keeps it interesting and I don’t do the same boring stuff every single time. Neil watches me and modifies anything that I might be having trouble with if I need him to do so. Neil is very patient and upbeat and keeps me going. He answers all my questions and explains things to me if I don’t understand what I should be doing. I enjoy my sessions with him and even though I get a great workout, I feel like he is a good friend and is very interested in helping me improve my fitness level and my body.

Neil Stephens is a great personal trainer! I started working with Neil 1 year ago after my second hip replacement at 36 years old. I was expecting to have a trainer screaming at me and humiliating me into weight loss. My experience was so different!
I chose Neil because he has experience with sports medicine and injuries. I also really wanted to learn how to box. He spent the first few months helping me with corrective exercises. I learned how to move correctly, basic things, like walking.
I was happy with my progress. Neil never humiliated me or made me embarrassed. He is inspiring and motivating and always focused on the positive. He pushed me when I needed it and held me back when he knew I wasn’t being safe.
After several months, I was stronger, I had lost a lot of weight. My friends and family started noticing how great I was looking, but mostly that I was more energetic and I was moving so much better. I was on his eating plan, and I started to realize how much I was eating and how much of it was unhealthy.
I was so excited when I got to go shopping! I got to buy the clothes in the regular section instead of the «women’s» section. I went from size 2XL scrubs to medium scrubs.
I am more confident now than ever. I have a long way to go, and I plan to keep working with Neil. I have seen changes I never thought were possible! I have never been able to lose this kind of weight. I never thought my body could do the things it can do. I am proud of myself, but I know Neil Is a big part of my success.

It’s easy to find a trainer; it’s hard to find one who is focused, observant and intelligent. Neil is a remarkably talented trainer.
When I make a mistake in my form, Neil immediately notices and corrects it. What’s great about that is that he communicates very clearly what I’m doing wrong both verbally and by showing me physically how to change the dynamics of the movement. I learned more in my first hour from him than I had in 8 months with other trainers. My form is much better and because he’s really funny, I totally look forward to my time at the gym. That’s a first.
If I had the money, I’d go work out with him every day…

I heard about Neil through my best friend, Adam, who’d been training with Neil (both boxing and lifting) for nearly a year. He was loving it and seeing great results. I’d always wanted to learn how to box; both for self-​defense (god forbid!), as well as the benefit of a new skill and work out routine. I’ve now been boxing with Neil once a week for the past four months, and am loving it. It’s the thing I look forward to the most every week. It pushes me to work harder on my own gym days I’m not with Neil, and gives me more strength, stamina and confidence. Not only have I seen a major improvement phsyically, but I’m challenging my ability to learn again after years of being out of school. He understands and works through my injuries, but pushes me to my absolute limit some days.
I can truly say it is worth every penny and if I could, I’d work with him 5 days a week! I can’t wait to see what improvements he makes in my abilities as we hit Spring and Summer!

I live in SF and was referred to Neil Stephens by a friend in Seattle. I’ve worked with personal trainers before, but Neil is the first one who truly customized a workout to fit my needs safely and address the areas I wanted to strengthen and tone. He showed me modifications on some of the training machines that had been difficult for me to use previously, along with several floor exercises I can do at home when I don’t have time to make it to the gym. Neil is tough but very encouraging, and he gave me the confidence and techniques I need to continue working toward my goals. I visit Seattle several times a year and plan to keep training with Neil every time I’m up – I just wish I could work with him every week! Oh, and he has an awesome accent…

After having several years of doing very little exercise I decided that it was time that I changed that. A friend recommended Neil Stephens to me so I went along to see him. It was the best thing I could have done. He worked out a training régime for me and soon had me working very hard but I was actually enjoying the work outs something that had not happened before. I felt so much better in and about myself. He is a pleasure to work with and I would recommend him to anyone who really wants to get into shape.
