Lawrence Tamkin and his team just finished a remodel for us and we are very happy. We gutted and completely redid our kitchen and office, added a bathroom, and more. We found them conscientious, reliable, skilled and easy to work with through the process. No hesitation calling them again when we do more work.

These guys seem really nice and earnest. But if you’re a no-​show to the initial estimate/​quote meeting, it just doesn’t bode well. Mistakes happen, and if this industry/​trade wasn’t already riddled with unreliable workers, I might be more willing to forgive this mistake and give them a chance. Unfortunately, I’m not up for risking more unreliability down the road, so, for that reason, they were chopped. If a Mt. Baker Remodeler is reading this, my advice would be to have some sort of cloud based schedule system if a software update can blow up your calendar.

Lawrence and team did a variety of work for us on our laundry room, including laying tile, installing molding, patching a wall, fixing the dryer ducting and rewiring and moving a two electrical outlets. The work was done very quickly, and two issues we with had with the tile/​molding were taken care of immediately and without charge. I was very impressed and happy with our experience, and will be going back to Lawrence when we have more work to be done!

Great local soup-​to-​nuts company. They remodeled my small kitchen from the studs out and despite plenty of challenges (the condo was built in 1931), the kitchen looks amazing and I’ve had no problems. Lawrence is great to work with and very responsive. If you’re tired of flaky contractors then give Mount Baker Remodeling a try. They also do small «handyman» type jobs which is a huge plus.
