This place was OK — I think there are better places around. Unfortunately, I think others felt the same way I did — I walked by this location last weekend and they closed up shop here after their lease was up. If you really liked their pies, there is another location in Seattle that I believe will deliver to the Fremont hood, so you won’t be completely SOL.

It ain’t cheap but that Greek pizza sure is delicious. Thin crust pizza can kiss my ass — that doughy crust is superb. Place your order online and the pizza will magically appear. I’ve said enough.

I’ve had a variety carry out pizzas from Mad and I think their pizza is delicious. They have a great variety of toppings, which I have always found to taste really fresh. You can choose between the veggie and meaty pizza combo’s they’ve developed or pick your own toppings. You can order half and half in any combination as well. They have combinations that are tomato sauced based and not, but the sauce is full-bodied and flavorful. The sauce tastes like it is prepared fresh with fresh fragrant spices. The crust is, as one reviewer mentioned, doughy, but I thought it was top notch. The price of a large is moderate at $ 25 but worth every penny. This probably isn’t the most gourmet tier of pizza, but is grades above average. For anyone who enjoys the inventive and tasty likes of Pagliacci’s, I strongly recommend Mad Pizza!

I’ve been wanting to check out Mad Pizza for delivery(since I hate trying to park in Fremont.) Quite honestly, it’s just ok. Given the write-up that they give themselves on their website, I was expecting something snazzier. The crust was doughy and flavorless, the toppings were alright. But the guy who delivered it was cute and friendly, so extra star for that.

It’s an utterly forgettable joint, which is ironic considering how MAD they claim to be.(Maybe it’s more of the Cold War«Mutually Assured Destruction» mad than the hatter kind. If so, then the name’s spot on and would almost make me want to give them another star. *Almost.*) I went here a couple of months ago with a friend and we each had a couple of slices and a coke. The atmosphere is nearly non-existant(which is reasonable for a restaurant about the size of my bedroom) and the pizza itself was fine, although overpriced. It’s not that MAD pizza is awful(it’s certainly not), but it’s just not good enough to spend money on. In fact, I both live and work a whopping two blocks from the joint and have never even been tempted to go back there.

So the schindig at the Ballroom is awesome, but you want to hear a little more of the awesome conversation you’re engaged in, and you’re going hungry since everyone gets to the pizza before you do. What do you do? A friend and I downed our drinks and hopped up 36th to Mad Pizza. I saw the signs for pizza by the slice on the way to the ballroom, and my pizza craving would not be denied! The theme is cute, and all around this is a fun place to go. The pizza is yummy and affordable; each slice is huge, and about… $ 2.50 each? All in all a good deal. The counter service is great. The booths are comfy. Before I knew it, I was full on pizza and conversation. An all around great ending to a fun evening. I will definitely be back next time I’m in Fremont.

Great pizza by the slice. Even better they were friendly and offered advice and help about the parking lot next door(the owner of the lot apparently has a thing going where he tickets cars on his lot because there’s no timing device in place so he’ll just ticket at will unless you place a paper in your window stating the time you got there…).

This pizza is not THEBEST, for sure — but it’s still pretty tasty — in fact, their sauce is one my faves. But really the best thing about this place is that you can go in and order a slice or two, and they usually have some kind of special running(i.e. 2 slices and a drink for $ 6.99, or 2 slices and a beer for $ 8.99) — and it’s never really that crowded in here. The salads look good too, I’ve just never ordered one. I loves me some delivery, but being able to go into a place, order at the counter, sit down and have some pie with no frills is pretty awesome. Plus, the walk down there and back reduces my inevitable calorie guilt! The only thing that would make me happier is if we suddenly had a Piecora’s in Fremont. That. Would. Rock.

We stopped in for a late lunch on Sunday. We were REALLY hungry, so I boldly ordered two slices of cheese pizza, which was piping hot, fresh from the oven. It looked fantastic. We sat down, and the first couple bites were OK. Then, I realized the crust was crispy on the bottom(yay) but really doughy and almost raw-flour-tasty on the top. If it hadn’t been covered with red sauce(which was not bad), I would have seen a ring of pale, pasty dough on the edge(my favorite part, usually). I also realized I was still not finished with the first slice, and I was full. I think the dough was a bit too heavy for me, and the crust was just a bit underbaked on the edges. We have a few favorite pizza places at this point, so I don’t see much point in going back. Just not good enough for another go. Now that I’m reading these reviews, I see that I should have tried one of the salads.

Used to work right above this place in Fremont. Their lunch specials cannot be beat! Their fresh homemade breadsticks, are a sin. Covered in pesto and mozzarella and almost phallic in nature. The wild turkey salad is my favorite, and to die for. ½ salad, a bready stick and a soda for under 7.00!!! holy macaroni! A great deal. Used to go get lunch at the Lake city location, but they stopped serving until 3 pm. its kinda a shame, because this place is pretty pricey when they go to regular menu prices.

If you like oregano, then this is the pizza for you. If you don’t, then stay the heck away. The crust is ok, and the cheese was good, but the oregano wipes it all away. Too bad.

I dug into my recycle bin to get the valupak insert for this place. I *knew* there was a coupon for Mad Pizza! success! half Prozac + half Mad Scientist + two small asians with some serious hunger = pizza pahhhhhty My non-meat eating friend had the Prozac half — I had a cold leftover slice the next morning and *yum* — there is just something magical about the artichoke hearts and feta with pesto on some dough. I cornered the meat-lovers slices but I was stuffed after two!(btw, the cold meat lovers slices are not as yum) They didn’t have a driver that nite, so I had to brave the fierce winds(minus one), however the nice girl at the counter gave me 10% off and honored my hard won coupon(plus one). *but there was no red pepper flakes or parmesan cheese in the take out box, however I could have also just checked before I left(minus a half). *and there is absolutely no parking around there!(minus a half for making me illegally park!)

Do they put sauce on the pizzas? Their slices are better than getting the whole thing. I only ordered from here because Pagliacci wasn’t open yet. But even bad pizza isn’t so bad. 2.5 stars.

Favorite second pizza place in Seattle, after Hot Mama’s. I love their lunch special(s) — drink, slices, salads, etc. Loads of different toppings to choose from.

i went there yesterday and had one slice. what a mistake, i should have had a whole pie… but im trying to keep my figure. do you think i got this greek god like body eating pizza pies? but i am willing to give up this 155 pounds of sexiness for this pizza. $ 3 for a slice is a bit steep, but not unreasonable. next time i am in fremont, i will make another trip here and get nice and fat. Rock!

Not bad pizza. It’s possible that I could order it again. I haven’t been to the storefront, as I’m done with my Freemont exploration for a while. I imagine that it is better when ordered up and munched with beer locally. I wimped out and had it delivered. $ 25 for a pizza isn’t exactly cheap, but at least«large» still means actually large with this pizza crew.

PROZACPIE!!! Parking is atrocious, but it’s a cute, small, and actually not-that-busy spot in Fremont to get beers and pizza on a weeknight. The employees are lackadaisical as per most pizza joint employees, but they are funny, so it’s ok. Prozac pie. Hits the spot. The pizza is a lot tastier when you order a whole one instead of just by-the-slice.

Okay, Fremont needs a pizza place that has pizza by the slice. And this is it. The location is good, and the ambiance is nice. The prices are reasonable. The first time I walked in I thought«this is going to be great!» But unfortunately the food is their downfall. It’s very average. The dough on the pizza is very good, moist & chewy yet still crisp, but there is hardly any sauce at all. Also, it’s the type of affair where they bake their pizzas in advance and then reheat them when you order a slice… which is fine, lots of places do it that way, but when Mad Pizza does the re-heating they don’t do it long enough so the cheese doesn’t completely re-melt. And the pepperoni is warm, but barely warm. Ideally I’d like my pepperoni to crisp up a little bit. I have been there with friends too and they concur on the pizza, so it’s not just me. I have been there twice on different weeks. I tried the caesar the first time, and the dressing was tasty but there was too much of it and the croutons weren’t great. The lettuce was fresh and crisp though. So I wouldn’t go out of my way to get here. It’s not as good as Pagaliacci, and as far as I know it has no parking. If it’s around dinner time go up to Wallingford Pizza for the dome(see my review). But if you’re in Fremont around lunchtime needing a pizza fix it’s acceptable. Oh they have no Dr. Pepper/Mr. Pibb. Tsk tsk.

I bet not one of you has ever had a pizza before. Well, friends, let me tell ya, pizzas taste good. They’re round and flat, kind of like an elephant except, y’know, round and flat. Also unlike elephants, they come covered with a variety of tasty toppings and treats. Elephants generally don’t enjoy become smothered with cheese. At least, no elephants that I know of. I’ve lost interest in finishing this review. We have food being delivered from another place that isn’t even a pizza joint; isn’t even Italian! So I’m distracted. But let me finish by saying that Mad Pizza is one of my favorite pizza places in Seattle along with some other pizza places that are also good. You can probably dig around Unilocal and find my reviews to find out which ones I like. It’s like a scavenger hunt! Only not fun!
