Once went to this for a singles mixer. Drinks were pricy and dance floor was small. :’(Other than that place looks cool… When I went there I wasn’t sure how to get inside. The doors were locked so I was clueless if the place was open or not.

Really good mojitos. A fine place to drink if you’re there for a concert anyway. Besides that, I would never go. ’nuff said.

Do you have a cheap stereo? If so, crank it up to TEN, look at a picture of the EMP, have something to drink, and then burn some money. Congratulations, you’ve just completed the Liquid Lounge experience. I came here with my sis and her boyfriend, and we didn’t even have any alcohol… we each had ONE (fairly small) Pepsi. I paid. My mistake. The drinks cost $ 7.50!
I don’t know why the sound is so awful… I guess the bizarre acoustics has something to do with it.
PROS: No cover
CONS: Shouldn’t a music museum have better music?!

just give it up guys… the EMP could be worth the once around but the lounge is pure over priced crap. there is no pathos to this place and the sound system sucks.

There’s never a cover here, which is cool, but naturally you’ll make up for it in the price of the drinks. A slick bar, potentially a good place to check out live music, and a cool place to visit, especially if you are looking for a way to get inside the EMP building without paying. On the other hand, the Liquid Lounge doesn’t have much atmosphere (or parking for that matter.)
