Link Light Rail – Columbia City Station

This station is conveniently located on MLK Way. I would say taking the Link Light Rail to this station is the fastest way to get to Columbia City from Downtown Seattle. The other option is taking the Route 7 which runs along Rainier Avenue. The issue with taking the 7 though is the many stops and traffic you have deal with taking that bus.
The Link Light Rail station is street level. Not elevated like the previous stop southbound, Mount Baker or underground like Beacon Hill which is two stations before this one. There is some cover here, but it isn’t fully protected from the elements.
The station is not located in the center of the main business area is in Columbia City. However the walk to Rainier Avenue where the businesses is short as it is just two blocks east from here.
If you need to get to and from Downtown Seattle or Sea-​Tac Airport, taking a train from this station is the fastest public transportation option. And potentially the fastest option period during weekday rush hours.

glad we are close to a station. It means we can actually utilize the light rail. We also have friends that drive and park at our house then take it to airport. It also makes for an easy trip to other stops for activities like stadiums or Beacon hill (grocery store). Glad we have it, don’t really understand why it takes so long to build (but accept that it is what it is) and it’s reliable, clean and part of orca system.

This place helps me get from A to B and back again! Living in Columbia City gives you easy access to Westlake and Seatac by way of the Link Light Rail — two places where no one wants to pay to park.

This staition is about the center of westlake/​seatac airport. So form here your only about 15 from each end, depending on where you want to go…
just 3 blocks from my house
Comes every 10 – 15 pending time of day.
Never crowded
Cool sculptures around this station so you cant miss it! I. E. A giant shovel and a giant magnifying glass.
Love this station (Did I mention that already?)

Love the link light rail, easy to purchase tickets and quick to get change from the machines. What can I say? its always clean and the trains come by about every 15 – 20 minutes during the day hours.
