Leaf And Water Holistic Skincare

Since coming to Leaf and Water my skin has improved dramatically. With every treatment, my skin becomes brighter, clearer, and more even. I even let Holly do microderm abrasion on me which I have never trusted anyone to do before and the results have been great. Highly recommended!

I really wanted Holly to be everything I wanted in a facialist but she’s not. Her facials were okay but not good enough to get me to return.
I couldn’t help but feel like she was trying to read me to figure out how to get me to keep coming back (frequently) for facials. Unlike other reviewers who said Holly tried to sell then products, I felt the reverse… as if she wasn’t helping me or giving me any recommendations. And that the hope that the next time I saw her she’d actually tell me what I could do to make my skin better would keep me coming back for more and more facials. Sometimes she would mention things like a vitamin supplement might fix my problem but then she didn’t tell me which supplement to take or try to sell me the supplement. It was just too weird… like why was she holding back this information instead of sharing it with me?
Also, in terms of the length of the facials I bought, I sometimes didn’t actually get my full 80 minutes (for 1^st time facial) or 45 or 60 minutes (can’t remember what it is exactly). I also would pay extra for 15 minutes of red light therapy and it wasn’t clear if that fee was for extra time with Holly… so it should be an extra 15 minutes added onto the length of the facial I purchased or if that fee was for the usage of the device for 15 minutes and the length of my facial would stay the same.
In the end, not being told what I could do to improve my skin and not getting the full amount of time I paid for upset me too much. I haven’t been back in a couple of months and have since found a great skincare brand… but still haven’t found a great facialist in Seattle.

I have never had a facial before and I was extremely nervous to have it done but she was very gentle and tried to help me come up with some affordable options to help me with my skin. I was really impressed.

Holly is a skincare goddess. Seriously, my skin has never looked so good (and my husband even said that and we all know guys don’t really pay attention to the details). I’ve seen Holly 3 or 4 times now with great results. I’ve been doing the vitamin c light therapy facial but she told me when scheduling to just to book whatever facial treatment as they are all the same price and length and she will access my skin on an appointment to appointment basis (I had booked a microderm appointment the first time and she said it would be too harsh for my skin). Last time we added a peel for my neck (sucks getting old) and the time before that we added the eye treatment. I love that I am getting personalized skincare attention and someone is not just doing the «standard» facial that any client might get.
I love that she uses organic, all natural products. Are there less expensive facials in town? Yes, but trust me, Holly is worth every penny. I take one look in the mirror and my skin tells me so.
And yes, as with any service at any spa you will be asked about your products, etc… and she will pitch her products. I can’t recall a hair salon or spa that HASN’T done that. I have bought a couple (vitamin a serum, eye cream, daytime serum and she even mixed up a custom night serum for me). They didn’t come at a cheap price and it’s not something I would do all the time but honestly her custom, organic products are still less than buying SkinMedica or something along those lines. And think about how much you spend annually on skincare stuff… why not redirect some of that $$ towards something that will really work for your skin? Think of it as an investment.
I just wish I had found Holly 10 years ago.

I really enjoyed the atmosphere here and thought my aesthetician (Christine?) was very professional, too. The only complaint I have is that she spent a little too long performing «extractions», which were painful and ended up blowing up over the next couple of days. She does a lovely massage, however, and has a very calming demeanor.
The products really are wonderful. They smell lovely and are very relaxing. I think I’ll go back here, but may ask for fewer extractions next time…

Well, I have to say I think I found Seattle’s equivalent to an LA facial artist to the stars. Holly knows her field inside and out and gets results. I was gifted a pre-​wedding facial by one of my friends, and it really surpassed my expectations. I had completely flawless skin on my wedding day, and that was pretty much priceless.
Since that first experience, I have been a regular client of Holly’s because she rocks, and I want a clear face to put out there to the world. She is intuitive, kind, professional and worth every penny. Her products are the real deal. She makes her own SPF (smells amazing and is the best facial SPF ever) and spot concealer (with Shea) that are better than anything out there on the market.
If you are looking for miracles, you may have to give Holly a call.

I like to think I look good, but I’m open to the possibility that I don’t look as good as I think. So, I scheduled a microdermabrasion appointment with Holly. But after a quick consultation, she agreed and recommended facials over microderm. Yay! (I love the fact that she didn’t up-​sell me, but instead recommended what she felt was best for my skin!)
The facial was gentle, her explanations thorough. The massage work (face, neck, chest) that came along with it was a nice bonus. I like the fact that my skin looks and feels lovely without the use of loads of chemicals or other toxic things.
And the best part — when it was time to leave, she didn’t push a bunch of products. She asked if I wanted suggestions. I said yes. She showed me the things she thought would be best, recommended adding only one thing at a time (for my skin but also because that way they don’t all run out at the same time and cost a fortune to replace). And better yet, was perfectly nice when I didn’t buy another or reschedule right away. (I hate pressure sales and bookings!)
Will be recommending Holly and Leaf and Water to several friends and plan to be back for a variety of her treatments!

This was one of the best facials I’ve had. The use of organic and chemical free skin care is of the utmost importance to me and Holly’s Leaf and Water fit the bill. My skin was absolutely glowing for days aftewards and I had peace of mind that her products were high quality. As a nutritionist/​dietitian, with a very holistic approach myself, the fact that I could practically eat any of the stuff going onto my face was a delight!
