Lake Deli Mart

Looks like a museum exhibit on unlit convenience stores. Dusty, half-​empty shelves. Poor selection. Grimy kind of feel. The guys doing roadwork are probably keeping this place in business.
Had a decent interaction with the clerk but didn’t feel any desire to go back.

This is a best kept secret place of mine… Ooops I spilled the beans… Yeah they have a good selction of beers and your regular stuff you get at a little mom and pop place but much much more. They make excellent Korean food and sandwiches that is to die for, the are inexpensive and HUGE. My fav is the chicken salad and I can’t get enough of it. The Korean food is authentic and soooooo good my fav is the kimchi (healthy for ya) and the spicy chicken comes with rice and you get a ton of it for dirt cheap. The owner makes it fresh every morning with very fresh ingrediants but he only makes so much so if its gone its gone till the next day. I have to call him at 8, 9 am to get the chicken salad because it is gone by noon. They have a chicken soup that I wanted to order and called before 9am and it was already gone, ALREADY GONE chicken soup before lunch time, yes yes. I now will order something the night before I want it so I can have all this wonderful fresh inexpensive yum. The chicken wings are also out of this world and you get tons of them. Be fun to get something (if not sold out) and take it down the road to Gasworks park for a very very great lunch on a sunny day.

Dusty sodas, poor chip selection, half empty shelves, porn mags and videos (check behind the pink curtain) AND stoic clerks! All in one place!!! I MUST be in heaven.
The _​only_​reason I go to this place is b/​c I work within spitting distance. Now that we have vending machines, I doubt I’ll be going much at all.
