I needed a simple trim and that’s exactly what I got. She even blew out and straightened my hair after the cut, which stayed straight for two days! Very friendly, dedicated service.

I was surprised not to see Erica and Chelsea when I went in to L. A. Fashion Salon a couple of months ago but decided to take a chance on Hue cutting my hair. I had taken a picture, and she did a great job following the picture and my directions. I have returned for a second haircut and was equally pleased. I suggest you give her a try.

WARNING: if you have been to this salon in the past and are expecting the amazing haircut you got with Chelsea, Tan and Erika, think again. Apparently it is under new ownership although they kept the same name and phone number. I got the worst haircut I have received in a very long time and will not be back. I had to go to another salon to have it fixed immediately after leaving! Hue did not listen to what I wanted and gave me the haircut she wanted. TERRIBLE CUT and even worse customer service.

I went into this little place close to my home for the first time last week. Chelsea cut my hair. She is so sweet and knowledgeable. I kind of knew what I wanted, but couldn’t really explain it. I knew what I didn’t want and she respected that. Chelsea asked all the right questions and I got the haircut I wanted. I definitely will be back.

What can I say about this place that has not already been said? My hair had been a proud feature I had flaunted until the hair stylists I had gone to had decided to either move or quit the business. From that point onward, I spent a year of wearing hats to hide the shamefulness that was one bad hair cut after another.
I was desperate to find anyone that could cut hair better than they could mangle their lawn with a weed wacker, and at that point the same person that had introduced me to my last barber recommended me to try LA Fashion Salon, a small shop overshadowed by the Walgreens that coincides it. Expecting only the bare minimum, what I was introduced to was nothing short of a life saver. Run by Chelsea and Ericka, two of the sweetest people you’ll ever meet, not only did they take the time to figure out what I wanted, they actually delivered on it!
To be able to look at yourself in the mirror and smile again was a feeling that had been all too foreign to me up until that point. And at $ 13 for a hair cut (less than half the price of most places), the money I’d save coming back could easily go to buying more hats if I still needed them!

TL;DR Can’t put a price tag on feeling like yourself again… but $ 13 is probably as affordable as you can get.

Just stopped in today for the first time. The name «LA Fashion Salon» almost turned me away thinking that it was going to be $ 50 for a haircut but I read the reviews and saw that the prices were good so I decided to give it a shot. It’s a cool little spot right off 15^th ave next to the Walgreens. There’s a couch with books and magazines on a shelf to help you pass the time if you have to wait. I made an appointment earlier in the day and did not have to wait when I arrived. There was only one girl working there but she was really friendly (and not over friendly). The haircut itself was great, exactly what I asked for. She asked me a few questions during the haircut to make sure it came out looking how I wanted it to. When I went to the register to pay I had $ 25 cash out thinking it would be at least that amount. Only $ 13 for a guys haircut! I gave her $ 20 and was on my way. Very pleased that I have a new place to go to get my hair cut at a good price.

This was the worst salon experience of my life! They were quite friendly, but unprofessional and disorganized. I went in for a cut, style and brow wax. I had to wait about 30 minutes to get the wax, then about another 30 minutes to get a haircut. That was understandable as they were quite busy. There were two women and one man working, it seemed that only two of them were licensed. I had a very simple style that I wanted, one woman cut my hair really quickly then passed me off to the guy for styling. I described what I wanted and he said I was welcome to look it up on YouTube and use their station in the corner to do it myself! WHAT? Do it myself? What was I paying for? At this point I noticed there was a customer putting her own hair in rollers at one of the stations! Maybe it’s common they just have customers do their own hair. I just wanted my hair flat ironed and curled under at the ends, so they had the receptionist girl, who was still in school, attempt to do this for me. She had no idea what she was doing, and kept flat ironing it and over over the same way and wondering why it was twisting out rather than curling under. I tried explaining the technique (I knew how to do it, I just wanted to have a professional do it this time. That’s why I went to a salon) She still didn’t understand, so the other woman was talking across the room trying to explain it while she was working on another client. Finally I had to leave because the parking was for 2 hours, and I was already out of time. I left with a decent haircut, scorched hair, $ 50 less in my wallet and a terrible feeling in my stomach.

Wow. really good highlights and hair cut here. This hair salon doesn’t look like much. It’s attached to a Walgreens and at first sight I was a little hesitant, but as they say, the price is right and I was able to get an appointment in the same day. So, I gave it a shot. Than did an excellent job. He definitely took his time, gave me really good suggestions, and I walked out with a really nice cut/​color at a decent price. Good stuff!

I don’t know about you, but I can’t pay $ 70 for a trim. Right off the bat I was greeted warmly by both Than and Chelsea. They even thought my messy hair looked cute! I appreciated that they seemed genuine and not all fake or snobby.
For $ 18, Chelsea did a fine job helping to clean up my outgrown inverted bob. I’ll admit I was a little leary about a cheap cut, but my grandma and mom and mom’s friend all go there and their hair looks great! It made me feel good that the gal who cut my hair was asking me all the right questions to make the cut better! Also, it made me feel more confident in her abilities when I found out she was going to school to become an Ultrasound tech (in addition to working AND being a mom to a little one). All in all, I will continue to come here between cuts to keep my hair looking fresh without breaking the bank!

Tan has cut my hair on numerous occasions, and I won’t go anywhere else. For the price it’s definitely worth it. Unlike many other big name salons I have been to, he actually has a genuine conversation with you. Overall, the staff is really great, and I come here all of the time for my haircuts.

Best place for cut and highlights at an affordable price! I use to live nearby but now I am driving all the way from Tacoma to get my hair done here! I am very picky about blond highlights on my brunette hair but Tan did an amazing job! He has a lot of experience with all types of hair. Highly recommend :)

okay, so i must have been in some post-​haircut haze when i wrote my last review.
i don’t know if my hair «relaxed» (?? it used to be really long before Tan butchered it), but it’s really bad. there are several sections that are totally and obviously different lengths. bad, bad, bad.
i’ve come to find out that this Tan fellow messed up two of my friends’ hair, too. apparently, the girl is better, but i’ll probably never know, because i’m back on the hunt for a decent place to get my mop chopped.

Tan is amazing and I’d recommend him to any of my friends. He knows his stuff, takes his time, does anything he can to make a client happy. I’ve been going to him for 10+ years… for cuts, highlights, whatever and never have I been let down. The salon is nice, clean, and modern looking. A+++ all the way.

I hadn’t noticed this place for a while, and went to Rudy’s for most of my cuts. The problem is I always had inconsistent results depending on who was there on whatever day I showed. I wanted to find someone who would learn what I wanted and give me right cut every time. Tan is the man. Consistently great cuts at a very reasonable price. Obviously other people know this too, the lines can be long.

I used to come here alot when Wendy was working there. She did a great job! But recently ive noticed a few new faces or maybe it’s been a while since I last went. I still remember Tan tho, he’s a great stylist too!

this place look way better after they remodel it. Tan is my number one stylist.
