Shop here first when looking for baby gear. We have been shopping here since our kids were born 23 years ago and recommending it for our friends who have new kids. You may not find exactly what you want but you’ll end up with what you need and significantly reduced prices.

This place is not perfect, but it provides a really valuable service to our neighborhood and does a pretty decent job at it. A lot of OTHER places are super picky about what they will take and seem to be more interested in the prestige of the label than the usefulness of your items. Kym’s always seems to buy what I bring (they don’t want a lot of clothes though), it is low-​hassle and we always find things to buy here for reasonable prices.
What I appreciate is that that they have a wide selection of toys and equipment — a lot of places are mostly clothes. I agree with other users that sometimes the price of a used item is pretty close to its new price. For example, I bought and IKEA kids’ table with one chair (if you buy new it comes with two chairs) for almost the same price as new, but I saved myself a trip to IKEA and kept one more item out of the landfill. If you want to lower the price you pay, gather up some of the unused items in your house and bring them in for credit. This places helps us keep our house uncluttered because we bring in things as soon as we outgrow them or get tired of them. Living within walking distance, I really appreciate their presence in this neighborhood that doesn’t have much retail, because getting out to Wallingford or Ballard is a big schlep for us. Some of the things I’ve bought used here include two strollers, a baby swing, baby bouncer, clothes, shoes, boots, Cozy Coupe car, trucks, Brio trains & wooden tracks, small dollhouse, puzzles, plastic food for our toy kitchen, etc. I’ve also bought new rainboots & rain gear and a few new toys.
We love the new management and wish them all the best in keeping this place vibrant and ever better.

This place is amazing! Their prices are great! Here is my own shopping experience:
I’m pregnant do I decided before buying everything new for my baby to see what was out there used, that babies only use for a short period and by the time they are done items are basically new. I came across this place through an app called offer up. I went in there and carefully taking my time to look through everything, got some great stuff! (you need to spend enough time there because they have a loooot of merchandise.)
I spend a good amount of time and a fair amount of money and walked out with: baby wipes warmer, two beautiful cable knit blankets (I had my eye on this ones at pottery barn for $ 40-​$ 50 and here I payed like $ 3 for each) burp clothes, changing pad, changing cover, jungle gym… And many more stuff at very good prices. I will absolutely recommend this place for moms.

Always a great stop! Lots of great infants and a kid toys, clothing, strollers, etc.
New and used — always in great/​reusable condition.
Fun toys and activities to promote development through play.

Stopped by Kym’s Kiddy Corner today and they have all their Halloween out. Some really cute costumes for kids and it looks like some for adults too. They also have all thier rain gear out — new and used — and oh so cute! I love this store!

OVERPRICED! They have a ton of stuff, some nice and some crap, which is almost as expensive as buying them new. Wanted to buy Little Tikes adjustable hoop, they wanted $ 20 for it with no ball and I found it for sale at Toys R Us for $ 24. I hate buying new but not worth over-​paying for used items. Will give it one more chance and then I’ll never return. Bummer because it has a ton of OK stuff.

I have been going here for about a year now. They are under new ownership and a lot of improvements have been made. I went in today and the place was organized, decluttered and clean. The owner was super friendly and accommodating, great customer service. I love selling here because it is hassle free. No appointment was necessary and I got my store credit right away, no waiting in line. I got a great store credit value for the items I brought in.
Some of their items are a little over priced, new and used items.

came here 3 times in 6 months and came out empty handed each time. New stuff were just way overpriced, old clothes are just grossed, can’t believe they accepted those items. I was looking for a pair of jeans 3t for my son and I couldn’t find any, the pants they go there were like «abused» condition, not just gently used. My to go place now is Ross and TJ max near by, brand new stuff and cheaper than Kym’s.

I heard from a neighbor about jumps after just moving to the area. They are way overpriced especially for the quality of their items! I think that’s why there’s so much stuff sitting outside in the rain. They say they bring it in every night, but I drive by recently and there was stuff outside that shouldn’t get wet after they were closed. They had a large variety, but things that i have bought for $ 5 at other kid stores were $ 20 here. they had a cute beat up play kitchen that it looks like somebody built for $ 60 when it should have only been sold for under $ 20. I frequent kids on 45^th, Me n moms in Ballard and childish things in greenwood and find they have much better quality as well as fairer prices. They take into account the quality of an item as well and don’t just stick a price on it. I found mild on many things that can’t be cleaned or are difficult to clean as well.
Don’t shop here, go to one of these other shops if you don’t want to get ripped off.

As far as thriftstores go… Items are definitely overpriced, poorly organized, dirty. Many items are so «used» that I would not take them for free let alone pay $ 10.00 for them. Toys, carseats, clothes are everywhere; on the floor, outside. Definitely not appealing to a buyer when it comes to buying for my children.

Really bad customer service, and often very dirty or damaged products. I bought an item and when I got it home I found out it was broken. The owner was extremely rude to my wife and I and only would offer store credit. For a broken item this is ridiculous! The store credit expires in 30 days… is that even legal. The owner is totally rude. Products are priced weird during sales, it may say 40% off, but then she’ll explain off the original retail price (which isn’t even shown in the item). Feels very scammy. Most things are overpriced or dirty. I hope they go out of business.

I bought all my daughter’s outdoor play structures here at different times. They were upfront about exchange policies and everything was in the condition they stated. This is not a posh place but they usually have quite a few things for outdoor play. My daughter really loves the play house and climber we bought there recently. We’re really happy with our purchases.

There were a lot of things priced to go on the day I went. All of their clothes were just $ 1 and they had a second building in the back that was all $ 1. We got 3 levels of Hooked on Phonics for a screaming deal. I take a star away because we were headed there for bikes, but they weren’t in great shape and set out in the rain to rust. The sales ladies were really nice and helpful.

They have a good variety of goods but some things for the wear and tear are priced a little too high for what you get. I don’t want to pay 45 dollars for a broken table.

Going to this place made me want to join Unilocal again, so I could review.
The place is packed floor to ceiling because items are NOT priced to move.
I bought a Jumper that was $ 4 less then retail and stupid me didn’t look at
first. Could have had it new for the same price.
Asked the lady if there was any wiggle room on the price, and was told «the owner is firm on her pricing».
This place is filthy and not worth the value. Sorry Kym.

Found a stroller frame there we were interested in, but weren’t sure if it would fit our car seat. So we asked about it, and they said we could buy it, test it out, and return it for a refund if it didn’t fit. Well, it didn’t fit, and when we tried to return it, we were told they only give store credit (which is only good for 30 days). She then pointed to the statement on the receipt saying exchanges and returns for store credit. I explained that I had specifically asked about it for this circumstance, but she would not budge.
The store is also small, cramped and feels dirty. And they are selling, what I assume are used breast pumps, which are not supposed to be multi-​user items. Only the really expensive hospital-​grade pumps are appropriate for multiple users. You can contract blood born diseases by using someone else’s pump.
I will never shop here again.

Now that I’m a mom, regularly shopping second-​hand for kid stuff, I have to knock them back a star. Their stuff is not in as good of condition as other places, but they charge just as much. You’d think at least wiping down an item to be sold (for 50% more than they paid for it) would be in order! The mess can be kind of fun, but they rearrange so often that they can’t even find things themselves half the time. Hate to be petty, but the country music radio is annoying, too — definitely decreases my shopping time. This is still my neighborhood spot, but I’ve been using the Goodwill more lately and getting way better stuff at way better prices.

I bought a used stroller that wound up having a bad front wheel. They told me as I was handed my receipt that they don’t do returns, only exchanges. I brought it back same day with receipt for the exchange. They didn’t disclose the issue with the stroller and the salesgirl even said she checked the wheel and it was fine. I think she only said this to make a show for her other customers, because I checked and double checked the stroller and it was NOT fine. My return was already final, so she was beating a dead horse by that point. I was also overcharged, considering I was not refunded the tax of my original sale.
I am not 100% dissatisfied with my experience. I did walk out with a second stroller that so far is working fine. The staff was also friendly. The store has actually improved since the last time I visited. Lesson learned for me to always test out used items and ask about policies up front.
This place has a lot of potential, especially if they stop keeping items like strollers outdoors where they get so weathered.

This place has A LOT of stuff!
As a new parent, I felt that I needed to get everything new, once you get over it, come here! Somethings are in nearly perfect conditions, some things are a little beat up, but they have so much to pick from you can pick and choose!
You may not like everything they have or the condition it’s in, but it’s a place with a lot of inventory to check out before you competative shop some place else.

Wow this place has A LOT OF STUFF!
It is overwhelming as others have said, but if you have time to browse, there are definitely bargains to be found.
I mostly bought some smaller infant toys, the prices were very reasonable, but I did feel as though they all needed a thorough cleaning at home.
They do have a lot of Melissa & Doug new toys, art supplies, etc… as well.
The people were helpful, though I was overcharged & had to go back to get it corrected later. They quickly credited my credit card, just a bummer that I had to go back.
I’m not so sure how the stuff they leave outside manages to survive without mold, etc… I probably wouldn’t buy a stroller or those items for that reason, but all the toys inside are things that kiddos will cycle through quite quickly — so no reason to buy brand new or pay full price.
