The service is impeccable, the drinks are cold, the food is hot, I think the owner is wonderful. We hosted our team holiday party here and it was the easiest party I’ve ever planned. When people came up to me and said, ‘Thank you!’ I had to refer them to the thanking the owner because he and his staff made it so easy. I highly recommend grabbing a beverage and a bite here if you are in Pioneer Square.

Let’s see, cheap booze, cheap food, good bartenders, can’t complain! Nothing fancy or pretentious here but I can see why this would be a popular place before a game. Other nights, definitely quieter.

Definitely my go to after work happy hour spot as happy hour runs till 7pm which is awesome. The food and drinks are sooooooooooo cheap and it’s just a nice chill place to wind down from a hectic work week. I want to say that I go there every other Friday. I would give it a 5 star rating, but the service is slow if you arent sitting at the bar. It is what it is. It’s a dive bar with cheap food and drinks during happy hour. They also have a bunch of tvs if you want to watch sports.

Starting with Martha~ best server I’ve run across in the area! Very friendly, welcoming, and personable. Thank you for making me feel like a valued customer. I ordered the burger upon recommendation of Martha and she didn’t steer me wrong. The burger was better than a previous burger I had at a nearby place for sure! It was delicious, fresh, and had great flavor. The fries(that are baked) had an amazing flavor as well. I probably wouldn’t have known they were baked if I hadn’t been told– they were yummy! I couldn’t eat them all. I will absolutely be back.

I come here with coworkers for lunch often — the calzones and anything from the oven are a good bet. Other menu items are fairly typical low-end bar food. The breadless calzone is a good option if you’re looking for something lighter or to cut carbs.

My husband and I made it a mission to come here before a Hawks game recently because it was a favorite when we lived in Seattle, and man the calzones were as good as we remembered. We shared one and ordered a second before we even halfway finished inhaling the first one. My favorite is the pepperoni, mushroom and smoked mozzarella(menu states swiss but I swap it out — pro tip #1). We also enjoyed a chicken sausage and veggie. Holy sh! t, they are so puffy, oozy, toasty and insanely delicious for just $ 10. Their marinara is a tangy garlic bomb and worth paying more for an extra cup. We waited until the crowd died down once the game started to order our food so we could grab a table(pro tip #2). An added bonus of this place is the heat that comes off the huge open pizza ovens in the open kitchen in back. It keeps the damp cold away even when the weather outside is nasty. Which, during football season, is almost a given. The pre-game vibe in here is off the charts rowdy fun. It’s loud and packed to the gills with friendly 12s, and not as douchey of a crowd as many of the nearby bars. I also appreciated $ 3 beers including Rainier tall boys. They make a mean bloody mary. It’s a dive and you can catch some brusque service when they’re slammed on game days, but it’s totally worth it for the calzones. I thought about those suckers all week after flying back to Denver. There’s something to be said for sea level dough. I miss it! Side note: they were nice enough to stow our bags, including a laptop bag, safely for us while we were at the game since we’d already checked out of our hotel and you can’t bring anything into NFL games. They confirmed this over the phone and gave us no hassle in person.

Ok little bar. The waitresses are nice and smoking hot. The food is small in portions and it tasted kinda like manure. Otherwise just a great place. Especially for drinks.

I live in the neighborhood and have drank here a few times. Good atmosphere and service. I had the lunch special and was dissapointed. $ 12 sandwich I devoured in 5 bites.

Let’s start off with what I liked. I liked that the servers were friendly and it ends here. Right when I walked in, my shoes were sticking to the floor. I think she mentioned they were having some issues with the pop machine blowing up or something. Then comes the food. I ordered the pork shanks and the meat did fall off the bone as promised but it’s not something id ever want to order again. It wasn’t disgusting. Not as disgusting as the mashed potato anyway which must have originally been in powder form. To wrap it up. I liked the service and that is it!

Never has an establishment made me so angry that I stopped to take 10 minutes out of my life to make a Unilocal account and write a review. Well there’s a first for everything. Recently visited this bar before a big concert at Safeco field. It was the only place within walking distance of the stadium that didn’t have a wait time of 2 hours. We soon found out that there was a reason why the place was not packed to the brim like its neighbors. We sat down and ordered beers from the friendly but overly busy waitress. We received our drinks in a timely fashion and ordered food-simple sandwiches with a side of fries. We then waited… and waited… and waited. One hour later we asked the waitress to cancel our food as we were going to be late for the concert. The waitress was apologetic and only charged us for one drink. She said she would refund us and even pack up our food in to go boxes if it was ready. It turns out the kitchen had lost our order completely as well as our business. Although the staff is friendly, they unfortunately do not make up for the sorry excuse that is their kitchen. I would not recommend people go there for a meal even on the busiest Seattle nights. If you have to go in there, get your drinks and get out. There’s a reason why it’s not crowded.

Definitely a boozing bar not an eating bar. Decent booze prices for Seattle. Overpriced not so awesome food. A grilled chicken wrap was at best a snack not a meal. I think this is a great stop coming in or out of Union Station. Grab a drink before you get on the train kind of place. I can’t see myself coming down for any other reason. Even on game days.

Went here for happy hour and got some pizza to go. There were a few people there but it wasn’t extremely busy. The service in the bar was very slow; we had to wait several minutes just to order drinks, and it took another ten or so minutes to get them. When we ordered drinks we also requested a menu, but the bartender never brought us one. We ended up having to get up and grab some that were left near the kitchen area. The drinks themselves were great. As for the pizza, I ordered the garlic chicken pizza. The crust was perfect – extremely thin and crispy. The sauce and cheese were also wonderful. The sauce had a strong, but not overpowering, flavor of garlic, and the pizza was topped with a good amount of Swiss and smoked Mozzarella, which I thought was a great combination of cheeses for this particular pizza. The chicken, however, was definitely overcooked. Unfortunately it made the entire pizza taste dry. The other pizza we ordered was custom, and was made with the same sauce as the garlic chicken but was topped with sausage and onions. This pizza was much better because it wasn’t as dry. I would definitely be willing to give King Street Bar and Oven another try, and just get a different meat on my pizza instead.

If you want food; do yourself a favor and walk one block further to fx mcrorys and spend 5 more dollars. If youre just hanging out for drinks before a game this place is a-ok.

My friend had the Sicilian pizza and enjoyed it. I had the BBQ Chicken pizza and it was«just OK» — the chicken was in very small cubes, and the pizza didn’t quite have the«tang» that one would expect on a BBQ Chicken pizza. Service was good, but it took a while to get our food and the restaurant was busy but not packed.

I came here during the Seahawk parade and glad I did! It was right where the action was. It is a small bar, but very cozy and crowded. Everyone seemed to know the bouncer I had met on the walk over and his daughter for years. Their pizza and calzones were recommended to me so I had to try it. I ordered the chicken garlic pizza. Honestly, I was kinda disappointed with the pizza. The roasted garlic wasn’t infused throughout the pizza, rather just topped on the pizza. no special garlic sauce of any sort. Tasted mainly like cheese and chicken. The sicilian is worth ordering tho. The sausage was quite tasty and the tomato sauce was from a can, but it went well with the pizza as a whole. There were only two or three screens to watch the action going on outside from. The food is ok, but the service I got from hanging out with Art and his daughter was awesome so this place deserves an extra star.

This isn’t a review for food. The service seemed very slow when I stopped by before the Seahawks game. This place gets really crowded before games, so come early for seats. It seems like a very popular place to watch the game. I agree with other reviewers. The guy at the front is unprofessional and very rude. I also saw another worker there – he was a very big fellow – who rushed and pushed through customers because he was frustrated. Maybe other customers who had been drinking did not notice but it was very unprofessional from a sober perspective. The blonde waitress is really friendly! But the security will chase away customers before they even have a chance to enter! You’d probably want to go visit the Lodge next door :)

There are much better places to watch games than this one, which is so crowded that service is abysmal. Food is mediocre at best. And the guy on the door checking IDs was an idiotic control freak, and rude to boot… I’d suggest he was a Neanderthal throwback, but I think that’s doing a disservice to Neanderthals. The food and atmosphere are much better at the Lodge Bar and Grill next door, and the service there is very friendly(and they also have lots of screens to watch games).

Took the Bolt bus from PDX to Portland and Back. On the way home, we found this place. Near the train line and within walking distance of the baseball stadium. Two boys of Coors light, 14 bucks. Enough said… Not going back.

Drinkin’ review only. 1) This place is within walking distance of King Street Station 2) I am taking the train… 3) I end up here! This place was the place to be on a Monday afternoon before I caught my 2:20pm train. I was served quickly — and unfortunately ordered off that one persnickety IPA tap. While the beer foamed, and foamed, and foamed… the bartender was patient, jokey and calm. And I ended up with a good pour! The bar is pretty spacious — I concede it wouldn’t be busy anyway, but it’s laid out with plenty of seating for big crowds anyway. Bartender lady walked around and checked on everybody while I was there. With 30 minutes left, I was up a beer and in need of a lil’ more booze so I went for a shot and a beer to close myself up. And then I heard the magical words«Do you want your shot chilled?»…wha? Chilled shot(not Yager in those ultra cold so you won’t taste how crappy black liquorice is)? YES. PLEASE. And that wasn’t a shot… that was a SHOT. I can take a shot like a champ, but that was a two-gulper. It seems they have a good happy hour, a wood fired grill for pizza and if I didn’t live in PDX I’d be here more. Regardless, as my family insists on residing in Seattle I’ll totally be back here. It’s in easy walking distance from not only King Street Station, but the Clink and Safeco.
