King Chicken & Gyros

Jackhammers, dust, heavy equipment, and union workers toil & roar outside this shop, situated next to a Tofu factory. Note: Better be in sneakers or boots going in. If you’re not scared off by the madness that is Sound Transit’s Light Rail construction, or the somewhat sub-​par cleanliness of the shop, then you’re in for a savory treat.
The fare here is a mix between Middle Eastern and fast food. The lamb gyros are pretty amazing, and the taste blends well with the spiced rice. (I have no idea what the name is, but ask for the seasoned rice.) It beats the hell out of a McDonald’s meal across the street. Good for a quick take out lunch. Southside joint worth visiting if you’re in the neighborhood.

Take your food to go. Don’t stay, because well the environment is kind of sleezy and makes you feel all dirty inside (and not in the good way)!
