Slowwwwwww service. Food was okay. Maybe it would be better after more beers, if the waitress would have come around more i would have drank more…

One of the worst meals i have ever had. Beer only, do not eat here. The service is slow. The seats are sticky.

This place is OK. When you first come in here you will notice that this bar is actually pretty big. They have a number of pool tables and a few TVs to watch when your enjoying your beverage. You will also notice how dirty this place is. One of the reviews below me said this place smells like dust and dirt. I completely agree. The food here is average. I had the chicken wings and the fries and there was really nothing special about it. They also have decent drink specials, we went during a happy hour where domestics were a dollar off. The only reason why I come in here is during the summer. You can play their version of beer pong. They use big buckets and mini basketballs to play in there outdoor seating area! Update: I’ve been told you can watch UFC fights for $ 10. Not sure how many bars show UFC fights but I now know that this is one of them.

Eek!!! This place is absolutely disgusting and dirty! Smelled like dust and dirt! the waitress was not nice at all. We got there to watch some football since the other bars that we went were packed, totally a big mistake! I FOUNDHAIRONMYEGGS! And I told the waitress and she was just RUDE about it. Then she gave me a mean look like I was a bitch and did not Apologize for it! I did not say anything else and said please give me my check! I was not going to take anything from a 99 restaurant or bar or whatever this is. There was like a pound a grease on the eggs and toast that my boyfriend ordered. This is a weird nasty place! Save your time and do not go there!

Like previous review, here for a UFC year ago or more. Place packed with 2 waitress. LOL they forgot our order too. Waitress was not apologetic and seem to not be customer friendly to our group intentionally. This is not my opinion alone as most members of our party sense this. She kind of gave our group an attitude for asking for lemons when we got our pitchers of Hefeweizens. LOL and when she came back with the lemons they were sucked dried and we explained to her that there’s no juice in them and she told us that they do have juice.(Wow someone hand her an academy award). So we got forgotten food. Nothing special. The most hilarious part was their fried mushrooms. They were $ 6 for 8 pieces. Thought they will be big but they were tiny. At KIDVALLEY the«sampler» you get more fried mushrooms and comes with bomb onion rings for less. Last time I went«slumming» lol it appears Kathy’s discontinued the mushrooms. LOL wonder why? Was only here for the fights. BUTKNEW I SHOULDHAVESTAYAWAYFROMTHISPLACEPERIOD but i live few blocks away. Been here enough times to know this is not the«nice local bar» I can walk to and become a regular. I was wrong and was proven wrong again. Hey at least they are consistent. Got to give them that. Overpriced on alcohol and food is not on par for what they charge. Kathy’s does not understand the concept of happy hour. Only $.50 cent off a $ 5 beer? Really? You could get better deals in DT or trendy neighborhoods in Fremont, Ballard, etc. and not see crackheads, whiskey tango’s and the likes. Yeah it’s like 50% off their appetizers but that’s not saying much(fried mushroom story above LOL). Honestly this could be a great place but the family that bought it just don’t get it. It is sad too because this place could be a gem if ran properly. To all that gave ratings 3 or above please send me your crack dealer’s cell phone hahahaha LOL :)

Enjoy their breakfasts. Eggs beni has home made hollandaise sauce. Attentive, very nice waitress. She knows how to treat customers.

I used to actually work here when it was formerly known as Mr. Bills(which was awful on so many different levels I cannot say). Since it was changed to Kathy’s Sports Bar & Grill I thought my fiancé and I would give it a try! We have gone there quite a few times, mainly because we were in the area. We sit at the bar every time(because it is that empty) and are served by Tylor 95% of the time. I think he is the son of the owner. He is not very prompt to greet. The last time we were in, there was only 6 other people in the whole place and I waited 20 minutes for a drink refill and equal time for a food order, despite asking for a menu upon sitting. It is like this every time we come here it is the same. He always looks at us, but never attends to us. He just keeps helping other people! Or leaving the room! One time when he was serving us at the bar, he got angry about something and showed it towards another employee and simply left. We had to wait until the next bartender got on shift to pay our tab(we should have left). Bottom line, the food is not that great, the drinks are not that great, prices are not that great(mozzarella sticks are $ 5.99!) and the bar service is downright terrible, only by Tylor. I don’t understand how he still has a job. There. I said it. We are done with this place.

We’re giving Kathy’s 1.5 stars. My boyfriend and I came here to watch a UFC fight because the bar we called to ask if they were showing the fight suggested Kathy’s. We paid $ 10 each and found a spot at the end of a table near another couple, since we had paid to watch there was no sense in leaving even though we wanted to. We ordered chicken wings and chicken strips and a couple pitchers of beer. It took over an hour to get our food, we think because the waitress forgot to put our order in. There were only two waitresses working there in the completely packed room, so service was slow. When our food came it was underwhelming. Our wings were cold, over sauced, and soggy. I’m just glad we didn’t order pizza like the couple sitting by us. It looked disgusting. They ordered wings also and they looked completely different and weren’t good so they had the waitress take them off their bill. We definitely won’t be going back here.

Fist time in. Came in for happy hour and to get some studying done. There was only one lady working it appeared and she gave attention to all the guests, without being pushy, so she gets some major props from me. It was a pretty quiet early evening, I guess that’s Monday for you. Will definitely go back to get some homework done and get in on the karaōke action.

Let me preface this review with… I have never written a Unilocal review(even though I use Unilocal daily). I always figured that my first Unilocal review would be because a place was so amazing… that I would have to share it! However… this is not the case. We went to Kathy’s for a quick drink and appetizer… and it was so comically bad, that my husband and I had to leave a review. We were expecting typical dive bar food… How can you mess up tater tots!!! Here are the down and dirty details… — Flat Beer — Frozen Meatballs DROWNED in BBQ Sauce — The Ketchup for the tater tots was frozen with a thick film over the top. — Chicken Wings were under so much sauce you could even pick them up with your fingers I don’t want to end this on a negative note… the bartender was nice

Kathy’s was alright. I went in for Thursday Night Football. There were a couple of people in the bar section, but some people were working on some maintenance in the restaurant section. My friend is under 21 so we had to sit in the restaurant when the maintenance was happening. I had a Rueben sandwich and a Woodchuck cider. The Rueben was decent but nothing to write home about. My friend had some huge burger that he said was pretty good! All in all not the best experience. The waitress who was also working as bartender in the bar rarely came to check on us and when she did, she just pushed the check on us. We were the only people in the restaurant, put she was trying to get us to leave as if there was a line waiting out the door.

I have been going to Kathy’s since before it was Kathy’s. It’s not a swanky place, but they treat their regulars amazing. They also have Karaōke on Thurs-Sat Night. Their food is cheap and easy, tasty tater tots, pretty good fish and chips but don’t go in expecting fine dining. Fantastic dive bar, love their late night drink specials and if you’re a sports fan, you should check it out. They also don’t have a huge staff and the restaurant is pretty big so you usually have to go up to the bar to buy drinks unless you’re sitting in the dining area. The staff are very friendly, sometimes the service is a little slow when they get busy, but whenever they mess something up or forget something they almost always discount the bill, it doesn’t happen too often, but like I said I go there fairly regularly.

I have been to Kathy’s three times this year. Visit 1 was a nice surprise to see that they have a more fun, sports oriented atmosphere. Ordered steak and eggs. Steak was a lot to be desired, but it was fast and convenient. Visit 2 stopped by for a beer. Beer was cold, service was good. Learned that they had wifi. Bonus! Visit 3 stopped by for a quick meal. Bartender was busy talking to a vendor when I sat down. He looked at me and then kept talking. When he was done with the vendor, he went to another table and sat down with what looked like another staff of vendors. I didn’t see any other staff in the restaurant, sat there for 8 minutes and then left. Kathy’s is conveniently located near my home/office. Menu has variety, beer is cold, they have Wi-Fi and lots of TV’s. Service is a key factor in my choices. Visit 3 sent a message that I had better lower my standards if I plan to go there. Translation, I probably won’t be going to Kathy’s for a while.

Take my advice and you’ll be fine… Bring lots of quarters for darts and pool Come during the game to watch it on the projector Order a basket of mini tacos(I’m pretty sure they’re Jose Olé but dang they’re like crack!) Bring your friends(it’s unlikely you’ll meet any there) Tip, and tip well, cuz they’ll remember you ENJOY!

I just ordered a medium pizza from Kathy’s for lunch today. Working on this part of Aurora, it’s almost impossible to get pizza delivered here. But Kathy’s does, so I ordered a Medium Hawaiian pizza for my coworkers and I. The prices were reasonable enough, around 11.50 for a pizza with free delivery, doesn’t make me mad. The pizza is decent. It has that weird cornmeal crust that I don’t really like, but the pizza tastes okay, and for the price and the fact that they deliver, it’s a good option for lunch in this neighborhood. Only thing was that the delivery was kind of slow, took about 50 minutes to get here, but not a huge issue when they told me it would be 45. It’s just fill your gut kinda pizza in my opinion.

I am giving Kathy’s a 4 because, let’s be honest– it’s not the coolest sports bar, it doesn’t have the best food, you certainly don’t bring dates here. If you want really good pancakes to nurse a hangover, you go to Kathy’s. If you want to get drunk and watch sports, you go to Kathy’s. If you are in college or have an alcohol problem, they have 1 dollar jello shots. Is it the best service you will ever receive? No. But the staff is nice, will remember your name when your order the same thing more than twice. I can recommend their breakfast because the cook makes pancakes perfectly every time. Light fluffy, never burned. I recommend them for breakfast. Decent lunch. Have never been there for dinner. The atmosphere is relaxed and casual, so if you are into that then you’ll be happy there. If you are picky and a pain in the ass you will hate it. Like I said, it’s unpretentious and very price friendly.

I had such high hopes when I walked through the door at Kathy’s for happy hour. When you enter its like two places in one. To the left it looks more like a restaurant. Straight and to the right its more like a sports bar. We took a hard right to the pool tables. We found a table and looked around to see flies everywhere! The Winnebago Man would have been very upset. Happy hour was only .75 cents off beer! Weak sauce! The whole scene, plus the fact that no one approached us after 10 minutes of sitting there looking parched meant we walked out on Kathy’s. I don’t give many one star reviews but unfortunately this place deserves it. Pros: Projection TV(showing the Storm game!) Pool table Cons: Horrible service Weak happy hour Flies

We made it to Kathy’s last week for happy hour and dinner. And I have to say I was surprisingly impressed. Everyone enjoyed happy hour, I stuck to the $ 1 Busch’s. Dinner was good, I had the Tyler burger which much to my surprise was huge! I apparently missed the fine print where it said this is a 1 lb burger. I was very impressed though, for being a huge burger there was great flavor! We eventually moved to the patio and tried a couple of games of outdoor beer pong.(awesome game). Wish we could have stayed for trivia, but I am sure this is not the last time I go to Kathy’s.

Nothing really good going on at Kathy’s except for the TV’s. We usually go to MVP but my friend wanted to switch it up this time. To be honest, I haven’t been to a sports bar that is close to good/great in Seattle. I’ve learned that sports bar food and service is usually shit but some do it slightly better than others. It’s divey and the food is nothing special. Standard bar food. Burgers, chicken strips, etc… The nachos were ok but my friends chicken wings were tiny. He didn’t seem very happy with them. It’s impossible to screw up an order of mozzarella sticks so I won’t comment on those. Our server was a space cadet. She messed up my friends food order and kept bringing my other friend the wrong beer. It was actually pretty funny! When my friends left to have a smoke our server came over and asked if they wanted another round. I wasn’t sure and told her that it’s probably best she check with them. Well, she brought the beers anyway! The Kathy’s crowd is a mixed bag. Lot’s of NFL fans mixed with old people and 99 locals. Good people watching! They have lots of TV’s so that’s the only hook here.

Kathy’s is a very unassuming sports bar just off Aurora at 130th. Most people would know the location for it’s previous occupant Bill’s. I’ve been to Kathy’s twice now and I think I have a good feel for the vibe. The first time I went was during happy hour, which I would not recommend. They did not have any drink specials and the happy hour food/selection were both poor. However, I went there last night around 9:00 and the situation was much better. It was trivia night so the bar was very quiet, but my friends and I hid outside on the patio. We all shared a couple pitchers of beer(middle of the road selection) and got our own food. Most of us got«Tyler’s Burger» which was enormous! It was a one-pound burger with bacon and ham, pretty good too. Another friend got a meat lover’s pizza that looked surprisingly good. As it got later, more people filtered in and the scene became lively. They have a pool table, dart boards, foos ball, inside beer pong, and outside beer pong! Their outside beer pong uses 5 gallon buckets and mini basketballs. I’ll be back…
