Great place for a weeknight dinner! I’m not sure why this place isn’t more crowded, the food was good. You also get a lot of bang for your buck.

I tend to be suspicious of buffets at restaurants, because usually it is the lowest quality food. However, I walked in to this place, saw the care they had put into decorating and setting up the room, and I decided to give it a shot. It was— SOGOOD. Like, every dish(except the meatballs, which were less exciting) made my brain go bonkers… subtly delicious Saag Paneer, in your face tangy and exquisite butter chicken and paneer masala. The garbanzo bean thing. I ate two massive plates and then stared down sadly when I realized I didn’t have room for more. I’m hungry just thinking about it now. Also, the service was so nice. I went with a friend who didn’t order food at first, and while some places give you crap for that, the server here was totally warm and understanding. When I complained that it was a little too warm by the windows, she instantly cracked the door and shut down the heat. It was such a treat to be taken care of and fed so well. I kind of embarrassed myself by how many times I told her how delicious it was. I hope lots of people can enjoy this place, so it sticks around and feeds me in the years to come ;-)

Hands down my favorite Indian restaurant after a number of visits. The food is absolutely wonderful. The paneer naan, channa masala, and chicken tandoori are frequent orders of mine, but every time I branch out on the menu I’m pleased! Portions are generous, even for big eaters such as my boyfriend and myself, so I’m always enjoying the leftovers either later in the day or for lunch for the next one. :) In addition, the restaurant and its staff are so nice! The owner/manager is such a kind man, and the lady who usually serves us is a sweetheart as well. The restaurant is impeccably clean and well-spaced and organized as well. I’m glad that I live nearby, but I’d be more than happy to make the drive across town if it called for it.

We are SOLUCKY to have such a delicious place walking distance from our house. The service is always excellent, though I admit, half the time we order take out and eat at home because this is good yummy comfort food. The butter chicken… we want to branch out, but it’s so delicious, we can’t resist getting it every time. And the garlic naan. Always. The restaurant interior itself is nothing fancy, and frankly is often not crowded and it makes me worry that more people don’t know how great it is. Also, it’s right next to The Olive and the Grape, which is also lovely and super cute and cozy with décor. Hard to compete aesthetically, but don’t let a lack of interior decorating fool you! The food is wonderful. My parents love it and request we eat here every time they come into town from California. Thank you Kalia!

We love this place. Not only is the food delicious, the staff is super friendly! We’ve been in multiple times, and now Sarbjit(the owner) knows us and spoils us! Definitely try the naan and the saag gosht!

I’ve been coming here for years and always felt meh about it. Good price but with so many fantastic Indian restaurants around… Why settle? Well, today I decided to finally Unilocal about it. If you’re in the neighborhood and in the mood for Indian food, definitely stop in. Great buffet and I just had some bomb paneer tikka masala. My favorite thing about this restaurant is they keep curry powder on the table right next to the salt and pepper. Also, it’s currently raining and about 52 degrees outside. Their heat is blasting and it is very comfortable in here. I wouldn’t go out of my way to eat here, but I also feel bad saying that.

Chiken tandoori was under cooked, along with the rice. Paneer Naan was soggy. There are flies in the restaurant, and the host is not very friendly.

Best most lavishly appointed buffet ever. They allowed me to load up a too go plate from buffet. Chicken tikka masala is amazing as is butter chicken, tender garlic naan, yummy saag paneer. All for ridiculously reasonable price, staff are lovely.

This place seems to get better each time we go. Spiciness is great 3 stars works for us. The Saag Paneer and Chicken Tika Masala is delicious. We usually have it delivered but tonight came in and had a great dinner with great service. We will be back!

Came here with my husband on a weeknight and we started off by being the only people in the place, which is always a little awkward, but oh well. Glancing at the menu we determined that there was no way we WEREN’T getting the Special Banquet For Two. WHAT A STEAL. $ 36(only 18 a person!) for a LOT of food(appetizer platter, 4 different entrees, naan and dessert); the two of us definitely couldn’t finish it and we are both really good eaters. We went with the vegetarian variety(carnivorous option is slightly more expensive, understandably) and we were generally happy with all the apps and entrees… a really good variety of things with yummy textures and assertive seasoning, and spice level just as requested. The naan was REALLY good, in my opinion. Dessert, however, was not the star. You get a mango pudding and a rice pudding and I couldn’t really stomach either one. Granted, I have a «texture thing,» but also they both had odd toothpaste-y flavors, I thought… Friendly, quick service in a clean albeit sparse environment. Anyway, I’ll come again when in the mood for decent cheap Indian. :)

Stopped going here when my family was served cockroaches. They didn’t even comp the meal.

After trying many disappointing Indian restaurants, this one is the best. Authentic food, made with fresh ingredients. They brought us rice pudding on the house because the food was too spicy for my baby. Great customer service, the owner came out in person to make sure the food was satisfactory. The food was the best blend of spices that I have ever had and felt filling body and soul. I have very high standards and Kalia definitely impressed me!

Really disappointed in this place. I went there last Sunday and there happened to be a belly dancing show going on. I had placed an order for pick up and they said it would be ready for 40 minutes. I ended up waiting for 1 hour and 20 minutes! The owner had two poor waitresses working the entire restaurant. It was SO hot and muggy and I had to ask about my food 4 – 5 times before they brought it out. The owner really needs to step it up because the belly dancing event was pre-planned, so more staff should have been scheduled. In the past, whenever I’ve gone there, the restaurant is always literally empty, kid you not, so service is normal. You can’t grow a business if you can’t even serve your customers with some basics. The food isn’t cheap here so I expect the service to be much better. Very disappointed? :(

Come hungry and leave full. This is authentic Indian and so so good. Boyfriend and I stopped by on a whim and got one of the three course meat meals for $ 41 and were in heaven while we stuffed ourselves with curry chicken, perfectly prepared goat and a delicious mango pudding for dessert. It was more than enough for the two of us and we happy took the rest home. The owner is super friendly and accommodating and I swear it’s his grandmother cooking in the back the food was that good. Definitely recommend it, it’s a hidden gem for sure.

As a last minute decision the BF and I decided to try this place out for the first time. We walked through the doors 15 minutes before closing time, I know that’s terrible of us — but there were two other tables seated, so we figured we would give it a go. I’m guessing our waiter was the owner, because he was super friendly and inviting, even though they were about to close. I haven’t had a ton of Indian food to compare this place to, but it was really delicious! The garlic naan was flavorful, not too garlicky — served warm and well baked. We also got the Chicken Tandoori and Chicken Tikka Masala, which are my two favorites and they were mouth watering yummy! Great flavors and was perfectly spiced how we ordered(3) and the chicken was cooked perfectly. We asked the waiter to surprise us with his favorite lamb dish. he didn’t really tell us which one he decided on. It came in a brown sauce of some sort, and it was definitely my favorite of the three. We did order the Indian Salad in the beginning to get some veggies on the table, I don’t really recommend it because it definitely isn’t the typical salad I am used to. The veggies were hard, raw and cold pickled of some sorts. we barely touched it. But the basmati rice was delicious and bottomless. I wasn’t a huge fan of whatever the orange gelatin dessert was that came with the rice pudding, but besides that, the food is very tasty and our service was fast and friendly. I will most definitely be back to find out what that lamb dish was!

The service was wonderful, the staff and owner were so friendly and helpful. Great neighborhood Indian restaurant. The food was also perfect, they were very accurate about the spiciness of their dishes(I ordered a mango chicken 3, and husband got a goat curry 5). 5 was very hot, as they said it would be, too spicy for me but my husband loved it. You get a generous portion of food for the price and the mango pudding dessert was amazing in helping to neutralize the lingering spice. They had a huge variety of naan and I want to try them all! Will definitely go back soon!

I ordered the Lamb Tikka Masala with Garlic and Basil Naan to be delivered. The lamb dish was merely«alright», the naan was above average! The delivery man was nice and the food arrived hot. I would order from them again!

Don’t go here with the impression that this is the same as the Kalia in Lynnwood. We usually get chicken tikka masala from the lynnwood place and so we thought we would get the same here. It’s completely different. The sauce is red and chunky(compared to the other smooth and orange) and the spices are different. It wasn’t bad just not what we were expecting. I think the servings are a bit bigger and the staff here is nice. I hope they tell the blonde girl to put her hair in a ponytail though so she can avoid dipping her hair in your drinks/food. So odd. Decent/average food, great service.

Went here for an afternoon buffet and it was a truly regrettable decision. The buffet consisted of usual suspects like naan, dal, chicken tikka masala, and miscellaneous cooked veggie items. Many of the food items were undercooked. The daal makhani was so undercooked that it felt like crunching on gravel. The naan was raw inside and completely tasteless. Not to mention they had used kraft cheese to make the chicken tikka because that’s what it tasted like. After the meal I completed avoided the dessert because the mango custard was a toxic neon yellow. They had advertisements everywhere about a belly dance show for dinner on Wednesday. Except wrong country bro…

After 9 years of living a block away I finally tried this place after seeing decent Unilocal reviews. We ordered take out on a Saturday night and our order was ready in less than 30 minutes. We ordered naan(very fluffy), raita(a bit watered down), veggie biryani(ok), lamb korma(DELICIOUS), bangan bharta(Delicious!!) We like spice so ordered 4 stars and they definitely delivered that. The portion sizes are so large we had a ton of leftovers. All in all very solid takeout spot in my hood and I’ll be back for sure.
