Came here last week with my dog to hang out and do some work on my laptop. I really liked how much space there was to sit and the barista who rang me up was friendly. I only had a drip coffee and it was pretty good. I don’t know how the rest of their drinks are. I would definitely come back here.

This place is a very hip and chic with a very chill and relaxing atmosphere. The coffee tastes good and the price is adequate. We enjoyed our time here.

I look for good coffee, friendly staff, and a welcoming ambiance. I found it here. It’s totally community centered, but that’s a good thing. If I lived in the neighborhood I would go to Kaladi every day.

Hey, it’s coffee? What could go wrong? This place is great, friendly and skilled baristas chew through the line like Jaws on the Orca. They use quality coffee for their hot and cold products, so I’m never left wondering what that burnt ass flavor was. It’d be nice if they had a little liquid sweetener for the cold coffee drinks, but no complaints, I need to cut out the sugar anyway.

Best coffee shop on Capitol Hill to hang out, work, and have a great cup of coffee with some delicious snacks.

The ambience is good at this spacious coffee shop. When I say spacious, I mean by Seattle coffee shop standards. The service is good in general. I tried the kaladi which is a latte with local syrups and flavors of vanilla, coffee and chocolate. I loved the taste of that.

I really like this coffee shop. I like the drinks I have had, the décor, the slightly out there but friendly Batista’s in my mind it’s all good. Their are a lot of coffee shops in Seattle and many have all this. Yet this one is always packed even when others around are empty. The crowd hear is diverse and makes for good people watching as does the staff

Being from Alaska I love Kaladis and don’t get me wrong, the staff is always super polite and friendly. I just always get a little off taken by how the staff dress sometimes here. Like, I kind of got this«bikini barista» stand vibe this time because the girl who helped me was wearing a super short shirt that showed almost all of her stomach… Usually Kaladis are much more clean cut. 10 stars for the coffee. 3 for the bikini stand vibe I got today Also, this shop is always super crowded so there is not really many, if any, places to sit. Good and bad. People like it(because its awesome) but not a place to sit and study… or really sit and enjoy the coffee.

My friend and I dropped in here to grab a coffee and relax for a bit while spending the day exploring Seattle. It’s a nice, bright space with a decent amount of seating and friendly staff. I had an iced Americano which was great. Sometimes these taste really watered down, but they seem to have their proportions correct, and the espresso had enough flavor to hold its own. It didn’t require much of anything extra to be added, which is always a good thing indicative of good quality espresso and proper extraction. None of that burnt, bitter flavor. We sat for a little bit while we figured out our plan for the rest of the day. It was pretty quiet and relaxing despite every table being full. Definitely a good spot to chill out with a book for a couple of hours!

I love this place. Grew up in Alaska where the Kaladi brothers coffee company was born and was so excited to find one a short walk from home! Coffee is awesome The powdered chocolate they use is divine! No Hershey’s syrup going on here. My complicated drink is right every single time, delicious and at the perfect temp. You will not hear your milk screaming in pain because they are trying to make your coffee in 30 seconds. It takes as long as it takes and it’s perfect when you get it. Atmosphere is chill, people play games and the energy hanging out there is awesome. So why only 4 stars? The time I go I usually get the same cashier. Young woman, cute colored pigtails, cool fashion sense, and a horrible horrible attitude. This started my first visit, first interaction. Here is how my visit generally goes. Me: Hiya how’s it going? Her: blink blink Me:(feeling awkward now) can I get a blah blah with blah Her: yeah More awkward silence, No total given, I awkwardly hand over some cash and mumble have a good one. It’s gotten uncomfortable enough that instead of walking a few blocks I’m hopping the bus downtown to my second choice to avoid the encounter.

First time here at Kaladi! After trying so many coffee places in Seattle, Kaladi was pretty good. I had the Kaladi latte which is a bit sweeter than normal lattes. They add their own homemade syrup which they add to their lattes and coffees. Paid around $ 4 for 8oz which is quite pricy! A lot of people working at Kaladi, so it seems like a great spot to take a break in Capitol Hill.

This is a quintessential Cap Hill coffee shop. Full of interesting people, good coffee, competent baristas, and tasty treats, this was a great experience! There is street parking nearby, so you should be able to find parking if you don’t walk or ride the bus. The baristas are really nice, too, and they are efficient in their drink preparation. I would definitely return to this location for future coffee when I am nearby.

The iced hazelnut latte was amazing. Perfect blend of espresso and hazelnut flavoring. On the sweeter side for lattes but definitely not too sweet. One of best lattes I’ve had so far. Really friendly staff. Work and socializing friendly environment. I will definitely be back to try out more drinks!

Damn impressive, I say! Popped in for a mid-afternoon pick-me-up before my marathon haircut and color a few doors down at Bang and I was thoroughly impressed. If parking wasn’t such a bitch in this area, I’d spend a few hours everyday at Kaladi Brothers working but the whole paying for parking thing just isn’t my cuppa tea. I mean $ 6.35 for two hours of on-street parking is a gigantic rip-off. Insane, really. Anyway, my non-fat mocha with no whipped cream was absolutely delicious. I believe a darker chocolate is used here at good ‘ol Kaladi Brothers Coffee and I am a huge fan of dark chocolate so I was in heaven. I also believe that they put the chocolate in the milk and then steam it so the chocolate is fully blended with the milk, thus no need for stirring the drink later. My Kaladi Brothers non-fat mocha tasted just like my Northern Lite Mocha w/dark chocolate at Caribou Coffee(only found in the midwest and in random countries like the United Arab Emirates(I’ve been!) and Turkey(I’ve also been!). Caribou steams the milk and chocolate together which is how I have drawn the aforementioned steamed milk/chocolate conclusion. It really gave my non-fat mocha from Vivace over on Broadway a run for its money. Also, it was really strong or maybe I just thought it was really strong because it was my second coffee in a matter of about 1.5 hours? It doesn’t matter. It tasted delectable and I will definitely return someday soon… by bike or on foot. Last but not least, they serve wine and beer too!

This place makes me wish I live and work in Seattle. I had their Kaladi coffee and it was the greatest thing ever. I had it late in the day and had absolutely no regrets even as I stayed up past 3AM because coffee. Service was top notch and unfortunately raised my expectations of coffee, baristas, and cafes. You’re obviously doing something right.

My go-to coffee place in Capitol Hill. I like how it’s decorated and the big windows give plenty of light. If you sit around the perimeter it’s easy to people watch. :) The music isn’t too loud or annoying, which means I can concentrate on my book. There seems to be plenty of electrical outlets if you’re working on a laptop. Staff is just the right level of friendly: not rude but not overly chatty. They were happy to answer my husband’s questions about their roasts. My husband likes light roasts and was happy with the pound of beans he bought to take home, although the barista described it as medium. The restrooms require keys for entry, which are located right at the counter. At the sugar/cream counted there is also a big dispenser of water and cups for patrons to use, which is a big plus for me. Their regular latte is good and the«Kaladi» is super good. In another review it was described as a latte with extra coffee flavoring, plus vanilla and chocolate.

* Study Spot * Great study spot or place to go with your laptop if you have work to get done. I love sitting along the booth seats to concentrate, and I can easily plug my laptop charger into an outlet. There are also plenty of outlets available in the center of the seating area for your use. * Dog-Friendly * I’ve brought my dog in here while studying several times and the staff was more than nice about it. It’s great having my pup with me while I plug in and work or read. * Menu Pick * My new go-to drink. 12 oz Iced Kaladi. Iced latte with 2 shots espresso and special Kaladi brothers syrup(that I believe includes vanilla). Blew my mind the first time I tried it. So refreshing & gave me an energy kick. * Parking & Other Amenities * We drive here after 8pm so we can park for free and spend the rest of the evening unwinding and getting work done, like writing this Unilocal review. :) There’s convenient bicycle parking and patio seating right outside.

Atmos: large, open. Big wood tables, stool and chair options. window bar seating option. Beer, wine, tea, coffee, breaded goods, Molly’s wraps n things. Pour Over: Great. First thing is notes of blueberry. Not too dry on the palate, no extreme tannins. Thin texture. Iced Mocha: Ok/Good. Too sweet(too much chocolate). But he coffee and soy in it are good. Very smooth mocha. Muffin: Meh. It was an ok flavor of sweet butter but it was dense and dry. I might shop around cap hill more before coming back to see what else is around. But worth popping in if out front and have an inkling.

Kaladi is famous for their Alaskan based coffee beans(coffee and espresso). The barista is super friendly, and the café is spacious, casual and cozy for the laptop campers. I ordered the Kaladi latte($ 3.65) for a small double shot, which is flavored with vanilla, coffee(yes — added coffee flavoring), and a bit of chocolate. It’s not extremely sweet, and essentially tastes like a mocha. I actually prefer Kaladi over Dilletante’s mocha, which I find way too overpowering. Between this and their neighbor Victrolo, I personally prefer Victrolo’s vanilla latte but only because I’m a vanilla person and I’m sort of obsessed with their homemade vanilla syrup. If you were in the mood for chocolate, I would opt for Kaladi. And big extra points for Kaladi being FRIENDLY(unlike Victrolo).

Something about this place just pumps me full of productivity. Give me a few pots of tea and a few hours here and I’ll get stuff done! I love that there’s always outlets available. The booth benches are a little bum-numbing but that’s not to big of a deal if I have a coat I can throw down. There are also more plush chairs around depending on what’s free. It’s great coming here for a few hours and just listening in on conversations around you. There’s always an interesting crowd here and the majority has awesome hairstyles! Great selection of tea. They have had these amazing raspberry scones off and on that are FAB and gluten free! I’ll be back… again and again.
